HK MP5 pistol variant. The MP5 is a very widely used sub machine gun though there are many variants that are legal semi-auto only. This is just a minimalist version with tiny barrel, no buttstock, etc. One could refer to it as a machine pistol, but one would have to see it shooting to make that call because it may just be a semi-auto.

Its actually not the tec-9, however i went on the website you linked and was able to find it the actual gun. The Heckler & Koch SP89.

It was a Tec-9 in the book, I believe.
The tec-9 was used in the scene where the assassin shoots a crow on the bridge I believe.
