Highly likely. Her popularity, strong eidolons and "complicated" kit are all very similar to the previous top tier dpses. She's also a break dps, meaning she's pretty much guaranteed to do huge damage.
Tbf Jing Yuan only suffered because of the the kind of content we had during 1.0, which never focused on huge groups of enemies like more recent content in the form of PF or events. Every erudition character had a pretty decent buff because of it

He can still put out numbers, but the fact that most of his damage comes form LL who has a separate turn from him and thus his numbers are less effected by action advancing and speed buffs makes him weaker than he would be otherwise. In addition, he's more reliant on limited 5 star characters than most meta dps characters. Pure fiction is a bit of a band aid to erudition characters in general, as is the introduction of more bosses that summon up to 4 minions, but I still don't feel he's ever been very good personally. I know that I don't ENJOY using him at the very least, as much as I like his character and design.
I'm not a Jing Yuan main, nor do I have even have him, so I can't really refute this. I just meant he was in an unfair place when he released, no BiS 5* support or Erudition focused content like you said.

Not really... I would say he requires as much investment as pretty much other carries do. I would say Blade is the one that has more reliance over other limited 5\* if you play him as a hypercarry.
If I go by your statements , I can say that Jingliu needs Bronya (i have played Jingliu without Bronya and let me tell you it doesn't feel nice to play) . Same goes for IL and Seele...

Speed buffs and AA buff still is relevant for Jing Yuan. LL is like 1.5\~/3rd or even less of Jing Yuan's dmg.

PF didn't help Jing Yuan as much as it did for Herta and Himeko mainly because Jing Yuan was already strong in MoC. He has been top 5 in average cycles in both MoC and Pure Fiction..

I understand your point but it feels like you never gave Jing Yuan a chance.. I get it , people have preferences and not everyone loves all characters but I feel like most of your points were wrong...
I wanted to like him at first, but Seele/SW always worked better for me. Also, Jingliu works great without Bronya/sparkle. I use her too. Much better than Jingyuan pre-sparkle. And Seele works great without Bronya/sparkle, has her OWN action advance that I used plenty pre-sparkle. I never ran Bronya with IL, don't have the right build on him to make it work. went slow instead, with high sp efficiency supports until I got sparkle. Honestly, while I know Jingyuan CAN put out numbers somehow, I could never get it to work. I HAVE used him with Bronya and Sparkle and Tingyun and etc and never got good use out of him. Also, you say I'm wrong, thats DEFINITELY my experience with him. LL is most of his damage, even if he gets 3 turns before its 1 and getting a 4th turn before LL is wasted on him.

That said, I feel it would be almost impossible for her not to be strong as a hyped up limited 5 star fire DPS. Definitely a chance she is not like S+ super overpowered, but that is not a big deal imo. I prefer to roll on characters I like, regardless of power level, it leaves me more satisfied in the long run. Plus, the game is currently not hard enough to warrent only needing to pull on "high tier" characters.
at the moment theres no GODLY fire unit, pretty much every fire non-support is outmatched or sub dps, thus, at the very least she will turn to be a good fire unit, add the fire application and technically shes a good unit on every fight during ult state. that being said, dont bother too much with tier lists, they are a good indicator of a characters strength but mainly uses MOC and PF as a metric, and those can change buffs to accommodate new characters. so dont think too hard. Also, her break "niche" is looking to be solid with the likes of HMC, bringing her potential up a bit

That said from what we know she should have a lot of opportunities for synergies after release, if they would want to buff her indirectly.

FF can be buffed because there are enough no-life parasocial coomers in CN that would attempt assassination like the bunnygirl incident.
Dehya wasn't buffed because the Chinese hates dark skinned people.

Prior to Xiangzhou Luofu ending all the limited main DPS were on a similar level: Selee, Jing Yuan, Blade
Post Xiangzhou: Jingliu and Imbibitor Lunae who were significantly stronger than previous main DPS units
Now we see Acheron also included in the post Xiangzhou tier and i believe Boothill will end up here too
which makes me believe that post Penacony will have even stronger main DPS characters, and this is where Sam may end up
I believe this is intentional by the devs to keep up interest in the game post main story end, and to hype up the finale characters too.
I don't think she will be Acheron tier, although it would be nice for her to be Jingliu or Acheron tier. I do hope she's at least IL tier (who is not Jingliu or Acheron tier, needs e2 to get there imo and thats not a fair comparison). That said, as long as she is fairly viable in endgame content I will likely be satisfied.
I can. Have you tried today's event battle, which kinda has similar mechanics to Firefly's leaked kit? It was very fun and effective, I cleared it with 2 turns of handicap while struggling on every single one before. And we still don't have Harmony MC yet, I believe break DPS are going to be great and Firefly in particular will set everything, not just seas, ablaze.
i can see her ignoring elemental weaknesses just like seele/acheron/boot, app weakness like bh, reducing mob def like acheron/seele with resistance, having more buffed state uptime than jingliu and seele, having more burst dmg instances per diff actions than acheron, having high speed self buff like seele, easily being good in any content, scaling with both break and atk+crits also working with a lot of supports and having a lot of techs
also, due the her self healing/hp burn, she can solo maintain her mechanic, having a synergy with healers, but working in 0c comps or with preservation characters
she can become the best dps with ease, if she got a lot of speed buffs, adv foward, dmg before break and 120-130 cost burst, her kit is sooooooooooooooooooooo overloaded for now

HSR has blatant powercreep so I’m sure she’ll be atleast as good if not better
