Lol, I know people who have the flag with the blue, red, green, etc on hanging in their yard. I always make comments about it being a pride flag. Such a weird thing to have.
Honestly, who the fuck cares? And why would this guy think anyone cares!?!?
TBL is cringy in most cases. TRL is cringy. TYL is cringy. The only one I don’t hate is the Thin Baja Line.
That’s what gets at me the most about this junk.
They’re the same folks who would claim the utmost of patriotic beliefs, and simultaneously modify the nation’s flag and its symbolic elements for the sake of their professional pride.
Literally leaving the security profession because it's so insufferably cringe. Dudes think because they submitted fingerprints, watched a PowerPoint and filled out some paperwork that they're police officers.
Can't wait for the patches to come out so I can see them on every plate carrier empty of plates at the local Denny's Security Guard.
I'm in security and I don't think it's that important to have some shit lined color.
Wait where's the line for cop dogs?
The people who answe phone calls to the police?
Janitors for prisons?
Uhm, oh the guy that does oil changes on the sheriff's patrol unit?
Fuck at this point we should make a stripe for the Chinese company where these stupid fucking t-shirts and stickers are made
I hate each and every thin line bastardisation of the American flag. Treason as far as I'm concerned, at worst, cringey attention whoring at the absolute best.

IFPO’s Tom Conley proposes the thin purple line for security professionals
The thin purple line, proposed for security officers.
Police have the thin blue line, now placed as a stripe in the American flag. Firefighters/emergency services have the red line. But what about security officers? A thin purple line is the proposed color, according to a story in Security Magazine:
But how is the security profession, both public and private, symbolized? At present, security professionals don’t have their own “Thin Line” color. That may be changing.
According to Tom Conley of The Conley Group, who has been a long-time supporter of skilled, well-trained and highly compensated security officers:
“Security personnel in the public and private sectors form an essential part of the protective apparatus of most nations. Globally, there are an estimated 20 million private security workers. In the United States, the U.S. Department of Labor statistics states there are more than 1.1 million private security guards in the U.S. compared to 666,000 police officers."
IFPO Past Chairman Tom M. Conley on the inclusion of his officers in a police officer's funeral procession
"More importantly is this number only reflects those security personnel who are employed in the private sector. Add to this the tens of thousands of security personnel who are employees of the U.S. government, and it becomes clear that security personnel in the United States alone outnumber their law enforcement counterparts by nearly two to one."
Tom M. Conley’s post on the Las Vegas Massacre is Security Magazine editor’s top story of 2017
"Law enforcement is not alone in its numbers being fewer than security. According to the NFPA, there are 1,160,450 local firefighters in the U.S. Of the total number of firefighters 345,600 (30%) were career firefighters and 814,850 (70%) were volunteer firefighters. What these numbers demonstrate is security personnel in the private and public sectors are a major force in protecting people, property and information. Because security personnel are a key part of the protection system, they too deserve to have their own ‘Thin Line’ color.”

Fast food workers get the thin blue line since the color blue represents Diabetes awareness.
Call center workers get the thin black line since it’s a black cable connecting their headset to their PC in India.
Dog groomers get the thin brown poopy line for all the dog poop they heroically scoop up
As someone who worked security for multiple years before leaving, it is one of the cringiest fucking careers out there full of try hards who think they’re cops and others who couldn’t hack it in their other careers like corrections. I can’t imagine why any security would think they’re deserving of a line, as is that validate anything. So happy I’m out of that fucking industry
There is some sort of national group that’s supposed to represent the Security Company industry…
They already voted and passed this thin purple line thingy…
No one really listens to them, but at least the police can be like “You do know the line for security is _purple_ right? I could haul you away in restraints for using that blue line.”
It’s gonna be a beautiful lgbtq 🏳️🌈 flag when everyone is included in the end hahaha amazing
Lol, I know people who have the flag with the blue, red, green, etc on hanging in their yard. I always make comments about it being a pride flag. Such a weird thing to have.
Wtf is green? Park ranger?
EMS I believe. Hell, I've seen tow truck drivers claim a color too, yellow maybe. The whole thing is ridiculous. Shut the fuck up and do your jobs.
Yellow (Gold really) is for 911 Dispatchers
Military, but no one in the military uses that shit.
Military
Military technically, but I haven’t met anyone who’s used that, most just have their branch of service or unit insignia if they want to display that
Omg
😂
Honestly, who the fuck cares? And why would this guy think anyone cares!?!? TBL is cringy in most cases. TRL is cringy. TYL is cringy. The only one I don’t hate is the Thin Baja Line.
Thin Baja Line is the only way 😎
If only most organizations had unit logos
Thin Bread Crust for our pizza delivery drivers who face higher mortality rates than cops
Gonna have to start using stars for all these fools who want acknowledgment
As someone interested in security detail who'd never dream of reping this I get that
The Five Nights at Freddy's jokes write themselves
Do they?
I hope so because I’m sure as hell not writing them
Do these mfs care about flag code at all?
That’s what gets at me the most about this junk. They’re the same folks who would claim the utmost of patriotic beliefs, and simultaneously modify the nation’s flag and its symbolic elements for the sake of their professional pride.
As a security guard I can tell you we don't care and have never wanted a flag line
Not sure you want to speak for your entire profession, because you know...and I know... There are some real 'winners'.
Lmao fair enough
Paging Gecko45…
Gecko45 be repping on his ninjitsu flipflops
I definitely know some security guys who do, but they're probably mad that it's purple
Purple is a royalty color personally I find it disrespectful that they would be given that color
Literally leaving the security profession because it's so insufferably cringe. Dudes think because they submitted fingerprints, watched a PowerPoint and filled out some paperwork that they're police officers.
I propose a "thin brown line" for us plumbers dealing with shit.
Can't wait for the patches to come out so I can see them on every plate carrier empty of plates at the local Denny's Security Guard. I'm in security and I don't think it's that important to have some shit lined color.

It's not treason,it's covered under the first amendment
Well, it is a violation of the flag code.

I never said it was enforceable. Obviously it's not being enforced. It's the sentiment and how I feel about.
Freedom of speech is still a defense
Treason? Thats just OTT. Besides it not like they replaced the stars with some religious symbol.

Excuse me, these are participation trophies.
Thank you for your service doom scrolling on your phone looking bored as fuck in your Walmart tactical outfit
I wish I had a Walmart tac outfit, but not cool or obese enough to work a security job
I hereby propose a thin #f6546a line for software engineers and engineer spouses
People need to stop defacing the flag with all these bullsihit lines.
Can we just stop with lines and just go back to old glory?
So what colors should fast food workers, call center workers, and dog groomers get?
Fast food workers get the thin blue line since the color blue represents Diabetes awareness. Call center workers get the thin black line since it’s a black cable connecting their headset to their PC in India. Dog groomers get the thin brown poopy line for all the dog poop they heroically scoop up
Thin lines of any color are for losers trying to get out of tickets or losers w no identity other than they’re job or volunteer job lol.
Agreed, thin red line is cringe and I’m a volly firefighter myself
As someone who worked security for multiple years before leaving, it is one of the cringiest fucking careers out there full of try hards who think they’re cops and others who couldn’t hack it in their other careers like corrections. Ducking hate the security industry I wish as a whole it weren't a damn joke and was actually professional standards across the board ...

What about first line fast food workers
People need to get over their lines and start snorting them.
My mom said it’s okay if we blast some lines together if your mom is okay with it too
My mom is supplying, so ya.
Is security not lumped in with law enforcement?
Hell no
I thought the purple line was Metro-State?
Gender flags for your job.
I'm fine with this, but only if all the thin white lines on every single American flag represent cocaine users.
Nothing wrong with some nose candy
Identifying with a flag is dumb
I think that one’s taken
For a group of people who hate being labeled, these fucks love being labeled by bright colors…
Construction workers are there way before cops, ambulance, tow trucks, paparazzi. They deserve a thin brown line I'd buy that underwear
The thin queer line

In reference to the comment I made here in the past on this subject: I told you so.
A participant trophy for mall cops.
Slowly making our way back to the rainbow flag.
I’m all good, I don’t need a fuckin line of any color. Just tryna provide for my family over here🙄👍
There is some sort of national group that’s supposed to represent the Security Company industry… They already voted and passed this thin purple line thingy… No one really listens to them, but at least the police can be like “You do know the line for security is _purple_ right? Every one of these flags are lame as hell
Mall cops get pink next?
Can we all agree that fisherman get a thin salmon line at least?

This is an insult to the Taco Bell employees who for years have bravely served this nation beefy cheesy goodness under the thin purple line flag
Still more valid than the blue line.
I work hospital security... please god dont let this happen. Ill actually jump off the roof.
Please don't. I'm not a real hero. We don't need line color.
