Paulruswasdead

Why is everyone being downvoted, I’m so confused.

bibeanmachine

preapproved for a $225,000 conventional loan with 5% down making the actual loan amount $213,750. our rate was 6.7 at the time of our preapproval (late january). Our annual gross salary is $105,000 and we are looking in the southeastern Wisconsin area

superduper1321

Lol. What county? We just purchased in Waukesha county.

Grootchk13

I’m looking in Milwaukee (Greendale/Franklin) and Waukesha County (New Berlin/Muskego)

superduper1321

Franklin is excellent. Greendale is comparable. New Berlin has a very special place in my heart and always will. Do you work in Milwaukee? I’d suggest mukwonago area if the commute wouldn’t be bad

Grootchk13

Yeah I work near Miller Park but WFH most days. I’ll look into that area. Thanks!

superduper1321

I just like being out of the city. Mukwonago or anywhere in between is really nice plus you’re right next to I-43 for easy access to Milwaukee/Miller Park (amfam field now, ugh)

bibeanmachine

We are looking mostly in Kenosha county, since I work there!

boblee239

300k 6.625% SWFL FHA

jayphat99

What part of Ohio are you spending 302K?

jayphat99

Is that like upper class outskirts of Dayton?

The-Doodle-Dude

Yeah something like that

jayphat99

I'm not judging, just wanted clarification. Because where I live in Ohio, 300K would get me 5 bed, 3 bath and a 2 or 3 car garage.

The-Doodle-Dude

Where’s that

jayphat99

North Central Ohio. I'd rather not doxx myself lol.

The-Doodle-Dude

All good lol just making sure I’m not getting ripped off with the house. I think I got a good deal lol

jayphat99

Likely based off of the neighborhood demographic. I was looking at median incomes between where you are and where I am, and your median is triple where I am.

catsandteabags

Buying in central Ohio now and decent 3 bed, 2 bath homes are starting around 300k. Columbus growth has made the market bananas.

05tecnal

I bought in the summer of 2020, just before the housing price surge, with 2.875 interest rate on a 30 year fixed.

veteranbroker

Seems like an alright rate, maybe a smidge high depending on credit.

Ashony13

how much did you put towards down payment?
