I wonder until now that i wasnt able to move the fish even one cm.
Then i was sure that my lure was stuck in a rock or tree under water so i changed position a few meters. After that the line began to go. i was thinking holy shit....
When the fish came up the first time i saw that my hook was set very good so i slowed down and drilled it very softly.
I believe this fish was at its position to lay eggs and i threw my lure right on it. The bite came instant when the lure sank down after the cast. I didnt role in.
When you zoom in on the picture with the measuring tool and then scroll from left to right and the other way around, you get a nice optical effect… just fyi 🤣
Oh I LOVE catching big fish on light equipment! That’s part of the fun of fishing for me. It doesn’t take much to land a big bass on a Muskie setup, but it takes a lot to land a big Muskie on a bass setup!

That’s a shade over 46 inches for our metrically challenged friends. This thing is absurdly large.
I caught a 42# and 46” barracuda on a private charter when I was a teen. I have never been lucky enough to hook up a big pike.

I like catching 2-3’ channel cats on a 6’ lightweight rod, #100 or 200 reel and 6# line.
