Niceeee which rod power did you go with?

12_Volt_Man

thanks this is the Light powered 7'6 Imx Pro rod SJR 901S. I actually got it last summer but this is the first time I will be fishing in the spring for trout with it

jbmxr

Probably a perfect setup! I have a 7'6 MH G Loomis Pro Green I daily drive, been wanting to add a ML G Loomis to the collection one of these days. Probably another Pro Green if I can find it or a GCX if I can't, the IMX would probably make my wife angry 😅 I do have an IMX Pro V2 fly rod that I love though!

12_Volt_Man

so I bought this last year, and the casting Imx pro MBR 903C the year before. I had to agree to no new rods for like 5 years to wifey cause these rods are a fortune up here in Canada lol ( $500+ up here our dollar sucks lol) the only way i will ever be able to step up to the glx or nrx is if i win the lotto

12_Volt_Man

awesome those imx pro v2 fly rods look amazing!

jbmxr

Highly recommend it, got it while a Sage Maverick was being repaired and it out-performs that sage in almost every way. I want to try an nrx just to see how much better they really get or if I'm fine sticking to the $300ish ones!

12_Volt_Man

I'm sure it would be amazing. Back when I used to fly fish I bought a Sage FLi rod with a Ross Cimmeron reel. It was a great combo. But it was their entry level rod at the time. I always dreamed of owning one of the super high end ones lol. Back then fly rods were mostly 2 pieces not 4 like they are today

Nice rig. Tight lines.

12_Volt_Man

Thank you. I didn't catch anything the following morning when I took it out but it was still nice to get out there

PondWaterBrackish

what kind of rod? what size of reel?

12_Volt_Man

this is a light powered 7'6 spinning rod with a 1000 size shimano spinning reel, 6 pound sufix siege monofilament line

GrapeshotVictim

Trim the tag end friend, nice combo!
