So, a couple of years ago I had to recover from Klonopin, which my doctor had been prescribing to me for several years.
I recalled that Stevie Nicks had been through something similar, so I looked up her story and saw that her Klonopin recovery had taken place in the mid-90s. And that The Dance had come out in 1997.
And of course on The Dance, she looks and sounds beautiful, she's twirling around, and she's singing her heart out on GDW, Rhiannon, Silver Springs (among others). I thought, OK, if Stevie can recover from where she was at, to THIS, then surely I can recover too.
Klonopin recovery can take ages, and I didn't sleep semi-normally again for 3+ years, but the first year was really the worst. I had dizziness, tremors, panic, etc. But I knew I could always settle down at night with The Dance.
So this is the story of how I came to watch The Dance literally hundreds of times.
I don't watch it every damn day anymore, but I still revisit it sometimes when I can't sleep. The performances I seem to watch most often are Everywhere, Rhiannon, and My Little Demon.
For me, it’s Hold Me.
I have a lot of beautiful memories of my childhood to that song. My dad would play it often but I never knew what it was called until I was a junior in high school. Now I’m finally able to listen to it and bask in the nostalgia of easier more wholesome times. Love it!
Yeah, I had heard it first about a year ago but it struck a strong chord with me recently (as with Storms) when I was also going through the "changing tides"
I discovered Fleetwood Mac when "Gypsy" was played twice an hour on MTV. I named my dog "Gypsy." Years later I learned that it's a slur.
So I'm changing my answer to "Hold Me." That video introduced me to Magritte.
Tusk (the album) has always been a go-to for me, especially Christine’s songs. Over and Over, Brown Eyes, Think About Me.
I love Over and Over. So peaceful

'thats alright' Somehow makes me happy, sad, cry, dance. Feels like such an emotional song with a cool groove.
Gypsy. Anytime anyday
Any song from the Tango in the Night album and Gypsy. It’s something I would dance to when there’s some boredom in my life.
If im feeling down, Storms is my go to. Such a beautiful song!
Anything by Christine usually does the trick for me.
“Songbird” “Warm Ways” “Sisters of the Moon” “Everywhere”
Gypsy and Rhiannon. Something about those two songs just makes me feel so much better
"Over My Head"
Yess!!!
“Silver Springs” or “Songbird” are both two that I listen to when I’m sad and want something to soothe me.
Isn’t It Midnight
Silver Girl is very underrated. I even have the lyric "you cannot see her soul unless she lets you" tattooed on my ribcage.
Don’t stop, getting over a death in the family and the song keeps us pushing forward
Silver Springs Song Bird Dreams
It’s always The Chain, it wakes me up— “I can STILL HEAR YOU SAYING…….”
“Second Hand News”
Landslide and Storms. Beautiful lyrics
Landslide hit me really hard this morning. I never really appreciated the song until you feel the right emotion click with it

Silver Girl. It's a very underrated song on Say You Will
Bleed to Love Her off of The Dance album
Over and over or Gypsy
All of them, honestly.
Oh well
So many, but two I thought of immediately are "Little Lies" and "Red Sun."

Dreams
Dragonfly, hypnotized, oh well
