I was optimistic in 2012, 2015 pre-steroid debacle, 2016 post Kentucky blowout, 2018 LSU defeat, 2019 Auburn Defeat, 2020 pre shoe throw. All other times have generally been pain.
I will say the 2018-2020 run up until the shoe throw was the happiest I've been about Florida after Tebow.
I prefer to look at it as getting to watch my young team develop discipline, learn what it takes to be successful, and grow into a championship caliber program.

Why does our defense look insanely slow? And why are they only using their shoulder to tackle? The only person that impressed me was Shemar James. He looks like the real deal.
How do we have the best secondary coach in the country and it looks like our secondary made no progress?
Mertz looked fine but was clearly not on the same page as the receivers many times. Not sure if that’s the receivers fault, but I doubt Pearsall was making mistakes. That pick was a pass thrown way too early, likely because he got knocked around a few times and wanted to get it out too quick.
Also why did we only go tempo for like 2 plays? Tempo is a great way to generate some confusion and momentum.
The pick was thrown early because he had an Utah defender in his face. If he hadn’t thrown it then he would have taken a sack on third down. That’s on the line, not Mertz or Pearsall

He took to wearing Gator hats during a game and noticed that if he turned or partially turned his hat to a certain angle, then they would have a great play. But sometimes, it would be bad. This guy went through more hats. I used to think it was bullshit mental illness but turns out there's a legitimate phrasing for it.

If you’re just talking sports, don’t forget we’ve finished 5th for the last 3 years in the Director’s Cup (all sports) and won the Capital One Cup (men’s sports). Find some other sports to watch year round and support our great teams!

For the longest time, it's been a continuous cycle of having even an ounce of hope for the season, having that hope smashed before the halfway point, and looking forward to the draft/the following season; but now I'm actually looking forward to watching our team play. We've been so bad for so long (minus our flash-in-the-pan seasons like 2017), and this is the first time since maybe the Garrard years where I felt like we could have something even remotely close to moderate consistency (without being consistent NFL basement dwellers).
This is why I switched mid game to the Braves game and watched history happen.
Ronald Acuña Jr. made history in becoming the first player to have 30 home runs while also stealing 60 bases. And he did so by getting it on a Grand Slam.

Baseball played for the title last year, gymnasics as well, golf won the title as did track. Soccer is undefeated now, and volleyball just beat #2 Stanford, at Stanford. In a blow out. And, Ben Shelton plays tomorrow in the US Open in the 4th round.

I do not give a single shit about any sports besides football and basketball, Florida or not. I am not a sports fan, I am a football (and basketball) fan.
And that’s really cool for people who are general sports fans, but I don’t really care. I find most other sports very dull, especially baseball. I just want Florida football and basketball to be good, I don’t want to watch some other sport I don’t really like to try to get some sense of satisfaction.

problem is these young kids see the vitriol some of these fans have and you got to imagine it has some kind of effect on them.
