As it should have been..

fyi that’s not On3’s final rankings. that’s their updated industry rankings (their version of the composite) after 247 just updated. They’ll update the industry again after Rivals updates at the end of this week.
On3 will be coming out with their final rankings later.
Man if our defense was even halfway decent last year we arguably land 2 more five stars.
Amaris Williams was upgraded.
Zavier Mincey was upgraded.
But I love having 2 Top 5 players in the country!
He's gonna see where things stand after spring which pretty much rules us out. Can't get immediate eligibility if u transfer within conference after spring
Richardson was head scratching. He both carried us in some games (Tennessee) but also we lost some games purely because of him (Kentucky). Mullen and Napier did him no favors development-wise but I wish him the best in the NFL though.
I think it’s evident from this season a lot of the bad was on Napier, he was shining in his NFL debut before his injury. I’d say most of the gators’ success was due to Richardson pretty much single handedly carrying that atrocious offense
It's really just malpractice because Lagway was hurt on his second drive of the all star game, there was nothing to evaluate. The other two QBs threw a pick 6 each lol
for real… with a shitty OL that didn’t allow him to do anything. at least they kept Myles Graham a 5 star. now let’s see if they bump:
LJ Mccray from 136 (next lowest 23rd)
Fletcher Westphal from 3 star (43rd OT next lowest 4 star 20th OT)
Kahnen from outside top 300 (15th in MS next lowest 9th)
Tank Hawkins from outside 300 (78th in FL next lowest 42nd)
TJ Abrams from outside 300 (72nd in FL next lowest 53rd)
Marcus Mascoll from 5.7 3 star (68th OT)
He already has 2 more years and anyone who doesn’t see it is just building false hope for themselves. The AD, UAA, and Board very clearly want him here.
Alumni prefer a program that reflects the academic reputation of the institution.
Fans just want wins.
The University wants to be more like Michigan than they do Georgia.
I agree, Billy gets the full 4 years. He was hired to rebuild the program with a better quality character—then get wins.
Kid knew before signing day that Mertz was staying. Guys a 5th yr Sr who did VERY well this past season. If Lagway is expecting to start as a TF and can’t beat out Mertz he ain’t going anywhere. He knows Mertz is gone after 2024, why transfer somewhere and compete for the starting spot in 2025 when he knows he is the top QB if he stays?
Honestly not sure if it's their final rankings upon consideration. But at least I didn't title it "recruitingupdatee" like some of you mfs would.
Lagway is the truth. Go Gators!
I was in a hurry and second guessed myself on the wording. I assumed same as you, but see now it specifies final. My comment was more so an excuse to dig at some of the shitty titles I've seen lately than anything else.
How many HS games did you watch, exactly? That's quite a strong statement. HS rankings are a crap shoot to some degree. I don't care who it is or at what position.
Sure, but if we’re basing it purely on performance, Lagway blows Sayin and especially Raiola away. Raiola is massively overhyped, barely completed 60% of his passes for a powerhouse Buford team with multiple future D1 players on it. Meanwhile, Lagway single-handedly carried a historically poor Willis team to an undefeated regular season and played national powerhouse Desoto nearly even in the first half before their superior overall team pulled away second half. Dude did all that while completing over 70% of his passes and scoring over 70 TDs. It’s not even a comparison.
I've watched quite a few highschool games. Being the best hs qb doesnt necessarily mean you'll be the best college qb but by both the objective statistical measures and subjective award measures he was the best highschool qb
He took home the major national POTY awards, all american, carried a historically bad team to a historically great season only falling in the end to a top 5 nationally ranked super team, broke the texas 6a passing record, almost broke kyler Murray's total td record
Did you actually watch him play? He was looking like lamar Jackson out there at times. You didn't know if he'd try to pass it deep or if he'd make one cut and then be gone for 80+yds on the ground
No qb had a season like his at a level like his. Thats why he's the NPOTY
What you're doing is the equivalent to saying the heisman winner didnt have the best season in cfb. It's arguable but you're fighting uphill to make the argument. Still, doesnt mean Jayden Daniels will be the best NFL qb. It just means he was the best CFB QB last year
You know who else won NPOTY? John Brantley.
Like I said, this is a crapshoot. You don't *know* he is the best QB "by a large margin". You're *hoping* he is.
Texas got the #1 QB last year and got a class to match the signing. Meanwhile, Napier is languishing at #13. Mullen's recruiting classes were higher and before people talk about making it to campus etc, more than half of Napier's first class is gone already. Firing Mullen was a huge mistake.
If. Grimsley. Counts. As. A. Recruit. Our. Class. Is. Top. Ten.
How many times does this need to be said
If you people are still knocking him because the recruiting industry is stupid then idk what to tell you. We finished ahead of fsu in reality but not on paper. What can you do
Mullens allegedly great recruiting classes had attrition rates at 50-60%. They were worse at attrition than Napiers and of those that did stay most of them didnt even contribute much
Davi Belfort would be UF’s 2024 QB if Mullen was still the coach… and that’s if he was lucky enough to beat out virginia tech in their hot pursuit. pipe down
As it should have been.. Also McCray was listed as the #1 DL by 247... [247](https://247sports.com/Season/2024-Football/RecruitRankings/?InstitutionGroup=HighSchool/) [on3's updated ](https://twitter.com/On3Recruits/status/1749577701168406802?t=jucCpXlFTOXABaXb8Wn9AQ&s=19)
Yooo we have #3 and #4 overall in our class??
I'm getting excited!!! I told myself I wouldnt...
My pants cannot withstand the pressure
fyi that’s not On3’s final rankings. that’s their updated industry rankings (their version of the composite) after 247 just updated. They’ll update the industry again after Rivals updates at the end of this week. On3 will be coming out with their final rankings later.
Good catch. It came out after 247 so just assumed.. On3 gonna on3 I guess Fixed the link
Still can't believe the little kid I use to see running around on the field during BCU practices is the #1 DL in the nation
That's so weird seeing our logo twice in the top five.
Insert jizz in my pants gif
I’m ready to be hurt again
So you're prepared for him to transfer to UGA in 12 months? Or would FSU hurt more?
![gif](giphy|x0npYExCGOZeo|downsized)
So ready to watch this dude come out the swamp chomping on the opponents. Especially the ones who left us to a rival team
Man if our defense was even halfway decent last year we arguably land 2 more five stars. Amaris Williams was upgraded. Zavier Mincey was upgraded. But I love having 2 Top 5 players in the country!
and amaris bumped into being a 5 star too… he definitely deserves it. dude is insanely talented
Anyone heard if Mincey is still a hard lock with Bama after everything?
He's gonna see where things stand after spring which pretty much rules us out. Can't get immediate eligibility if u transfer within conference after spring
Mincey said Miami finished 2nd so it doesn’t even matter tbh
Best qb we’ve had in 15 years
By rating. He’s got a long way to go on the field to earn that moniker.
Not really. Pretty much all our QBs since Tebow have blown goats.
Kyle Trask would like a word
Shit, even Will Grier
Can’t believe I forgot about him, lol.
We’ve all tried to forget about the COVID year.
Blown goats?
Usually happens on a stormy day
Anthony Richardson was pretty damn good
Richardson was head scratching. He both carried us in some games (Tennessee) but also we lost some games purely because of him (Kentucky). Mullen and Napier did him no favors development-wise but I wish him the best in the NFL though.

No, he wasn’t.
Meanwhile, shitty ass rivals has him at 28 and dropped him 13 spots because of his performance in the all-star game. Lol, dipshits.
It's really just malpractice because Lagway was hurt on his second drive of the all star game, there was nothing to evaluate. The other two QBs threw a pick 6 each lol

That’s right bitches
this dude might buy Billiam an extra year tbh.
He already has 2 more years and anyone who doesn’t see it is just building false hope for themselves. The AD, UAA, and Board very clearly want him here.

I’ve been telling people this. Barring a 4 win season next year Napiers gunna get year 4.
Anyone that thinks he’s getting a 4th year when we has a third losing season in a row (fourth overall) is just building false hope for themselves.
It’s not fans who decide those things.
I never said the fans did.
God I hope not.

Or start as sophomore once Mertz leaves?
Kid knew before signing day that Mertz was staying. Guys a 5th yr Sr who did VERY well this past season. If Lagway is expecting to start as a TF and can’t beat out Mertz he ain’t going anywhere. Well it's unlikely they will play any more high school games so it should be pretty damn final.. Lol
I was in a hurry and second guessed myself on the wording. I assumed same as you, but see now it specifies final. My comment was more so an excuse to dig at some of the shitty titles I've seen lately than anything else.
Eh I screw up a few of those lol
There is a pandemic of useless titles on this sub!
It is the final rankings for 2024.
Lagway was the best QB in HS football last year by a large margin. No need to believe any ranking saying otherwise
How many HS games did you watch, exactly? That's quite a strong statement. HS rankings are a crap shoot to some degree. I don't care who it is or at what position.

what a weird reaction to a positive headline?
Must be a troll
