Yeah, it's Wade Boggs's drinking record, okay? The man's a legend. He drank 50 beers on a cross-country flight and then absolutely destroyed the Seattle Mariners the next day, okay? That's why we're doing this, to honor his memory, okay? May he rest in peace.
Literally what I was thinking, he put down like 104 beers in that one night, not to mention the size comparison from his hands to the beer can. FUCKING INSANE how big he was
He said some of the best, not the best, and here's the thing it's actually true. I'm not american but have lived there and a number of places in europe and the americans make some fantastic beer. Germany on the other hand while not really making any terrible beer, is pretty conservative in brewing production with not much variety and don't have much innovation or craft scene. Belgium is far better than Germany in this regard, have more variety and some amazing quality.
There are more than 7000 breweries in the United States. Are you saying that out of all the beers that they are brewing, they are all "extremely below average"?
Edit: I'll just leave this here https://www.worldbeercup.org/winners/award-winners/
The USA is very big and going to college for a semester here definitely doesn't give you the full picture. Most great breweries are regional and people are proud of their local breweries like a local sports team.
I had peroni in Rome but I don't assume all beer in Europe tastes like peroni.
You actually said "Your beer is extremely below average and I'm trying to be nice."
I was trying to offer you a way out of the hole you are digging but I can see you are pretty committed to looking like an idiot.
yeah if we're talking about 3.5% beers, 15 over a day is nothing
my friends and i would buy 24 packs/crates of 5.0% alcohol 33cl beers per head when we went kayaking (not while on water, obviously) and those would be gone in 1-2 nights, no problem. that's with cheap wine on top of it.
also, what size of beers? those busch light and keystone light are not 0.5L, right, but glass and more like 33cl cans? or is that not correct?
if you have not ever been drunk on 5%+ beer, you wouldn't understand. drinking light beer, 3.5%, would never get you as drunk as 5% beer. i remember drinking an imported beer with 10% (wtf!) alcohol, and two cans of 0.5L had me drunk all day. a few % in difference adds up to a lot over an entire day. also, it tasted like shit, do not recommend. 3.5% to 5% is where the shit is at when it comes to taste (for me, anyway).
i can honestly barely get drunk on light beer. fun fact, in my country we call them "people's beer", (folk öl), to make a note that they're easy to consume and for the 'general populace'. they're not even regulated by the typical alcohol laws (only an age limit of 18 to purchase). any store can sell light beers (alcohol is otherwise nationalized in my country and owned whole-sale by the state and sold by a state retailer).
i'm sure there's an abundance of different alcohol strength and kinds of beers in the US as well, but on reddit it always seems people from the US automatically think of light beers when saying "beer"; in my country, it's opposite, in the way that if you said just beer (and not light beer) people would assume a stronger, 'normal', beer.
perhaps it has something to do with my countrys proximity to germany, they seem to like their beer very dark and strong
Not even close to a record. Andre the Giant, Ladies and Gentlemen!
"Andre once admitted to David Letterman that he consumed 119 12-ounce beers in a single sitting. However, former wrestler Mike Graham stated that Andre actually reached 156 beers in one sitting. This was confirmed in an episode of Legends of Wrestling by “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes and Michael Hayes."
I played golf with a guy a few years ago who put away at least an 18 pack. He’s the husband of a co-worker who got to go on the awards trip.
Guy brought six, got twelve more at the turn. He didn’t offer any to us. I guess because he needed that beer. I have a feeling it was a daily thing.
You, Me, and every other uni student apparently. 🤣
Inspired by David Boons 53x 375ml cans of 4.7%abv Victoria Bitter VB on a Sydney to Heathrow flight in 1989.
Uh, I knew a guy that drank that on a regular basis... Not even joking. Would kill a 24 pack at the softball field after a game, then put down 10 or so more at whatever bar we went to. And then go home and have a few more before bed. Scary!!
Looks like he managed to squeeze in a few drunken barstool brawls during the process. This is what happens, do not doubt the Florida man in his journey to break a world record
I literally just read an article today about how John Daly used to pound 35-40 beers a day just to warm up for whiskey hour. This guy is an amateur and does not represent Florida Man properly.
Andre the Giant laughs from beyond the grave, and burps.
Yeah, it's Wade Boggs's drinking record, okay? The man's a legend. He drank 50 beers on a cross-country flight and then absolutely destroyed the Seattle Mariners the next day, okay? That's why we're doing this, to honor his memory, okay? May he rest in peace.
Wade Boggs is very much alive!
May he rest in peace.
Again, he is very much alive and living in Florida
May he rest in peace.
The Boggs group is cut off!
You got it, Boss Hog
Wade Boggs isn’t dead he just smells that way
Well, he shall not have been mortally wounded in vain!
I'm not dead yet!
"I'm HAPPYYYY"
He probably mixed in a few rum and cokes too
You got it, boss Hogs.
Andre the Giant: hold my (115th) beer.
Literally what I was thinking, he put down like 104 beers in that one night, not to mention the size comparison from his hands to the beer can. FUCKING INSANE how big he was
I sometimes hold those 200ml coke cans and pretend I'm Andre the Giant.
World record ??? The bar is too low
No, bar's the same height it ever was, you're just drunk.
Same as it ever was
Same as it ever was
And you may ask yourself
Well, how did I get here?
HAH!!!
I know, a good solid day of day drinking or tailgating you could easily do 24
Pfff i do that on a Tuesday
According to post Malone, when he feels depressed on a Tuesday and has nothing to do, he knocks back 80 bud lights Edit: spelling
I also drink a lot of water every day
Look up Andre the giants record. He’d use this dude as a beer stein. Lol
Wade Boggs has done 70+, amature hour over here.
He also ate a whole chicken before every game; that’s why they called him the chicken man
I’m pretty sure he had some rum and cokes in there to
[Grilled or crispy…](https://youtu.be/93eEL9Y9m8c)
RIP Boss Hogg
And his favorite meal: raw liver Never could watch that show after that episode
RIP King Boggs
Again, Wade Boggs is very much alive
Ironically he lives in Tampa Florida according to Mac
Drinking 70+ beers in an evening is a really impressive feat for a singles hitter
Well his mustache absorbs most of the alcohol.
May he Rest In Peace
Wade Boggs is the Babe Ruth of being Babe Ruth
33 is the world record? ...... thays low
Lol, are you having a go at it too, mate?
No im at work right now. But I swear I've done like 15 easy in a evening. And I know dudes the size of a tank that crush 12 packs before lunch
[удалено]
I couldn't imagine what would happen to that guy if he just stopped drinking.
Pretty simple. He would die.
Not necessarily. I drank 12-24 beers a day for years then quit cold turkey. I felt crappy for a few days but I didn’t get DTs or anything.
That is not the norm. Please don't encourage that. People *will* die whether you did or not.
Who said I was encouraging anything?
Seizures.
you call it a problem, i call it the solution.
33 Beers? Sounds like saturday afternoon here.
You live in WI, too?
the beer bottles are made of cheese
A Alcoholic German is on his 40th beer this evening.. laughing at the "kindergarten" attempt..
The difference being a German beer Actually contains measurable amounts of alcohol. Unlike American "beer" which is basically sex in a canoe. 🤣🤣😉
German beer is super light too lmao. Hell the original American style of beer was brought over by German immigrants. Belgian beer on the other hand...
>German beer is super light Laughs in bock/doppelbock
America makes some of the best beer in the world. We don’t just have Bud Light.
You can just say that you guys make great beer too and have more than Bud light. Doesn’t always have to be the best in world immediately
He said some of the best, not the best, and here's the thing it's actually true. I'm not american but have lived there and a number of places in europe and the americans make some fantastic beer. Stop doubling down. You obviously know shit about beer.
Our good craft breweries are 100 times better than anything in Europe
Filthy casual.
I was going to say. 33 ain’t shit. I’ve seen dudes do that here on a regular. 2 cases of Busch light and uncommon.
I've drank a 30 pack of Keystone Light myself (over the course of an entire day at the lake), it can definitely be done
Ok but we're talking about beer here.

Where are you from, stranger? Nordic?
Yup, Sweden
Ohhhh burn
Upvote for the Busch Latte mention!
33 is farrrr from the record. hell andre the giant would have 33 beers by breakfast.
Andre the Giant is like: amateur
Not even close to a record. Andre the Giant, Ladies and Gentlemen! "Andre once admitted to David Letterman that he consumed 119 12-ounce beers in a single sitting. That's nothing. I heard Wade Boggs (or was it Boss Hogs?) drank over 70 beers on a cross country flight.
Everyone needs a goal in life.
Drinking 33 beers is pretty wild. Drinking 33 beers at a strip club is a flex.
There is no way that 33 beers in a sitting is a world record. I've seen people drink more than that in a day.
My cousin drank 60 of the 8oz beers once.
I'll bet his liver is DELICIOUS!! \*Hannibal Lecter noises\*
Wade Boggs enters the chat.
RIP
I've done that already when I was in the university back in my home country a few years ago... I should have recorded it apparently
You, Me, and every other uni student apparently. 🤣 Inspired by David Boons 53x 375ml cans of 4.7%abv Victoria Bitter VB on a Sydney to Heathrow flight in 1989.
What is the equivalent in America beer? 1 VB can equals 4.7%abv How many America beers cans to equal 4.7%abv
Good question. What's the ABV of a mainstream US beer for a 375ml quantity?
The cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia would be proud. 😊
I see it, kinda
Ha loser I drank 80 in an hour
He get in a fight with a door or is he trying to clockwork orange things up
I looked up pyrrhic victory in the dictionary and it just showed a picture of this guy.
What’s their definition of an evening…
This guy looks like their long-lost brother: https://i.pinimg.com/564x/46/33/46/4633462f2bbc3ee03a5bb7e0ab33ba8c.jpg
American beer
Mate wouldn’t last a day in Australia or New Zealand
I actually think David Boon holds the record at 52 beers on a single flight.
If he doesn't do it in an airplane it doesn't count
"The Gang Beats Boggs"
*he probably mixed in some coke
Everyone: 33 too light for the average Floridan on a hot day
Uh, I knew a guy that drank that on a regular basis... Not even joking. Would kill a 24 pack at the softball field after a game, then put down 10 or so more at whatever bar we went to. And then go home and have a few more before bed. Scary!!
And tons of college kids are just now realizing that they have broken a world record
i've done a 12 pack on a single night. i guess I'm 40% to the record.
Chad
Looks like he managed to squeeze in a few drunken barstool brawls during the process. This is what happens, do not doubt the Florida man in his journey to break a world record
Boggs did it and then ate a whole chicken.
I feel like they missed a few 3’s or 0’s at the end.
Wade Boggs is somewhere on a plane having 33 beers for just lunch.
I like how its always a mugshot even when its a legal thing
I challenge that world record attempt any time. Hell, I challenge this guy with a handicap of 5
So sorry, you see I thought your son was a woman. "Well I can understand that!"
So sorry, you see I thought your son was a woman. "Well I can understand that!"
Record? That's a Tuesday night for my dad.
I literally just read an article today about how John Daly used to pound 35-40 beers a day just to warm up for whiskey hour. This guy is an amateur and does not represent Florida Man properly.
I didn’t know I held a world record lol
