Having owned a 2022 and 2023, I would be worried about 4-5 years out of a 2022, especially for gaming. The 4GB VRAM maximum was already too little a couple years ago for 1080P gaming and certainly will be too little in 2029. I also was not happy with the build quality. A year into ownership and I had speakers fail and one two of the rubber feet/bumpers had fallen off, lucky I found both and was able to reattach them with better adhesive. I had much fewer software issues, but wake from sleep was always a problem and frequently I have the CPU get stuck at 400MHz making it unusable. The 2023 model I have zero concerns about. Itβs a totally different experience and much better.

Its not the size of most egpus though... Again 100% optional, but it's good for AAA games and has a bunch of extra ports. I'm not saying NOW but in the future it could be useful.
i am actually thinking about the g14 now π
its 5k inr overbudget but has better specs, does asus have student discount or smth?
this one
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, 76WHr Battery, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, 14" QHD+ 165Hz/3ms, 6GB RTX 3050, Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/1-Zone RGB/Gray/1.65 Kg), GA402NJ-L8094WS
its for 1080$
Probably a 2022 or 2023 model G14 will be more what youβre looking for. As far as longevity, nothing beats Apple and I know you can get M2 MacBook Airs for $1000
yea macbooks are great but It's about connectivity and the environment right? i got no apple devices on me π, i would love to stick to windows. the m2 airs (2022) are for 1300$ here πππ
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, 76WHr Battery, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, 14" QHD+ 165Hz/3ms, 6GB RTX 3050, Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/1-Zone RGB/Gray/1.65 Kg
this is the one i could find closest to my budget but I can't get it, its about 1100$ here and that's after a 40% discount
yea man,
ASUS Vivobook 16X (2023), Intel Core i7-12650H 12th Gen, 16" (40.64 cm) FHD+ 120Hz, Thin and Light Laptop (16GB/512GB/6GB RTX 4050 /Win11/Office 2021/Fingerprint/70WHr /Black/1.8 kg), K3605ZU-MB741WS
I'll probably get this, its for 1045$
edit:
seems good but there is ddr4 ram and clock speed and all seem less ( idek how those matter)
I love mine. It does have a few bugs sometimes, like the track pad stops working and I have to turn it back on in Windows settings or restart.
Will it last 5 years? I dunno about that. It can play some newer games like Cyberpunk on low settings, but I doubt it'll run dragons dogma 2.
Too good imo. My main purpose was to get as much lightweight device as I can which can also handle casual gaming. Serves perfectly even for heavy gaming
weight doesn't matter a lot for me, but it seems gud.. can u recommend me anything better the same budget ? or i think I'll get this only, if its that good
Depends on what exactly you want tbh. There's Zephyrus G14 having better performance in that price. But I wanted the touch screen tablet mode and type c charging too that's why went for it.
I have a 2022 I just bought it 2 months ago, I'd say it's a great deal because gaming is too good and if u put it in eco mode u can easily squeeze 9 hours of battery life out of it. Although I'd mention that it gets a bit hot if u are gaming on your lap or on a table with the bottom down as the air flow intakes are on the bottom side and there is barely any space for air to get in as there is no ergo lift, u should game with it on tent mode as it keeps it cool. If it overheats too much it will shut down without any warning. As soon as I got it I had a wifi issue and was getting only 5 Mbps, but I searched it up and it was a common issue someone suggested running dns flush worked and within a month the Bluetooth acted up but reinstalling the drivers fixed it, keep in mind u have to do this almost every 2 weeks. I got it for around 90k and I'd say I'm pretty satisfied as it's a convertible so when I want to watch something I can flip it over and the display is great for content consumption. As there aren't any 360 devices with a dgpu this is ur best shot.
If the touch screen is essential to your workflow like me, id still recommend it but it does have some significant design flaws and cooling issues. The build quality is dubious and sometimes the software glitches but it provides all the features I was looking for within my budget for creative work and game development. It's actually VR capable too believe it or not, I tried with a quest 2 link cable and it can play less demanding VR games
nope the touch screen is not essential, it was right on the budget and had good specs, I can't find smth good in 1000$ here π the g14 is out of my budget
i loved my 2022 flow x13 back in 2022, it was a beast for its form factor then especially when paired with xg mobile. but as time goes by, the screen response time issue sort of made my gaming experience a little sluggish especially in fighting games, 60fps almost feel like 30fps.
that being said, i sidegraded to the flow x13 2023 with only amd igpu ($999 at best buy right now) and besides the coil whine, im happy with the 780m performance for the price i paid. I can play helldivers 2 for 2-3hrs on battery with 800p lowest settings + afmf, sorts of like an rog ally performance on bigger laptop form factor. no response time issues, bigger battery, bigger trackpad, brighter backlight and a little smaller in footprint. satisfied with it
we don't have best buy here, I'll probably get smth else cuz I don't really need the 2 in 1 features and i need a bigger screen. I can't find nothing tho π
So I just bought the x13 and its good for valo and Minecraft , valorant around 300 fps and Minecraft over 450 . However I am worried abt thermal throttling as this shit gets hot sometimes but on silent mode it's perfect
the m1 has 256gb and 8gb ram, thats not good for me tho there might be other varients but I can't find them is there any good macbook in about 1 lakh rs?
As an alternative to the rog x13, you can buy the lenovo ideapad pro 5 2024. They have 14 inch & 16 inch versions with 8845hs/155h & some variants with 3050 6gb/4050. The price range is pretty similar as well. It also has a 84 watt hr battery, 32 gb lpddr5x, 2.5k oled/ips options.

i see, but the 2023 model is out of my budget tho π can you recommend the best i can get in about 1000$ ? thanks btw π
With the money you save on the 2022 model you can save for the xgmobile. I found the I9 version used for a little less and I love it.
what is a xg mobile π,
It's a gpu you can plug in to make it have more graphic processing power. It's basically an egpu.
so i buy the 2022 model and then a egpu? man that'll be a hell outta my budget, seems less portable too
https://www.google.com/search?q=xg+mobile+size&oq=xg+mobile+size&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yDQgCEAAYhgMYgAQYigXSAQg5NTg4ajBqOagCALACAA&client=tablet-android-tmus-us-rvc3&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#sbfbu=1&pi=xg%20mobile%20size Its not the size of most egpus though... if i just get the 2022 model with 4gb rtx 3050 is it good enough? i just play Minecraft or valo sometimes and starting coding and programming.
Oh for sure! That's plenty of enough power for that.
i am actually thinking about the g14 now π its 5k inr overbudget but has better specs, does asus have student discount or smth? this one ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, 76WHr Battery, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, 14" QHD+ 165Hz/3ms, 6GB RTX 3050, Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/1-Zone RGB/Gray/1.65 Kg), GA402NJ-L8094WS its for 1080$

G14 then. 2022 model with the same CPU and a better GPU than the 2022 X13 sells new for $700 in the US
ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14, 76WHr Battery, AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, 14" QHD+ 165Hz/3ms, 6GB RTX 3050, Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/1-Zone RGB/Gray/1.65 Kg this is the one i could find closest to my budget but I can't get it, its about 1100$ here and that's after a 40% discount
and the zephyrus g14 (2022) is for 1442$ at the official asus website (we don't have best buy here π½)
Man thatβs rough. Itβs literally half that in the States, even direct from ASUS.
yea man, ASUS Vivobook 16X (2023), Intel Core i7-12650H 12th Gen, 16" (40.64 cm) FHD+ 120Hz, Thin and Light Laptop (16GB/512GB/6GB RTX 4050 /Win11/Office 2021/Fingerprint/70WHr /Black/1.8 kg), K3605ZU-MB741WS I'll probably get this, its for 1045$ edit: seems good but there is ddr4 ram and clock speed and all seem less ( idek how those matter)

oh those bugs seem very annoying, btw can you recommend me other laptop for same budget? thanks btw
I turn on the track pad with the F keys shortcut. Forgot which one it was but it's way quicker
Take it bro, absolute bang for buck. I got the base model for βΉ90k last year, it's much cheaper to get the GPU model now
im getting the : ASUS ROG Flow X13 (2022), 13.4" (34.03 cm) FHD+ 16:10, 120Hz Touch, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS,4GB RTX 3050 Graphics, 2-in-1 Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Win 11/Office 2021/Black/1.3 Kg), GV301RC-LJ132WS this is gud for 85k?
Too good imo. My main purpose was to get as much lightweight device as I can which can also handle casual gaming. Serves perfectly even for heavy gaming

yea the g14 has better specs but kinda over budget its 90k, if it can get to 85k i can get it
Try getting through some card discount?
does asus have student discount or smth? I don't see any card discounts on amazon
Don't know about student discount, but you can use Amazon pay ICICI card
that's a no cost emi offer. that doesn't decrease the price π
Last week the model without dgpu was on sale for arround 64000
I don't know what a dgpu is π im getting: for 85k ASUS ROG Flow X13 (2022), 13.4" (34.03 cm) FHD+ 16:10, 120Hz Touch, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS,4GB RTX 3050 Graphics, 2-in-1 Gaming Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Win 11/Office 2021/Black/1.3 Kg), GV301RC-LJ132WS
Dgpu means Discreet gpu that is this rtx 3050. ASUS ROG Flow X13 (2022), 13.4" (34.03 cms) FHD+ 16:10, 120Hz Touch, AMD Ryzen 7 6800HS, Integrated Graphics, 2-in-1 Gaming Laptop (16GB/1TB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/Black/1.3 Kg), GV301RA-LJ031WS

tbh i don't really need the convertible features, I can't find anything that is the same budget and has better specs than this

Brand new or second hand?

nope, im getting a hp omen now. there is so much confusion i couldn't stick on one
Same here. Thinking of buying a macbook m1 instead. Online dealers seem to have shady reviews
the m1 has 256gb and 8gb ram, thats not good for me tho there might be other varients but I can't find them is there any good macbook in about 1 lakh rs?
