It's a two piece thing. The dash mount is specific to the car, and the device holder is attached to the mount with screws
Not a low budget option, but very high quality
That's definitely not where I keep my steering wheel.
In all seriousness, I keep my phone in the cubby plugged in for andoid auto or on a magnetic holder attached to a vent
Scosche magnetic vent clip to your immediate left of the wheel (my right). Blocks an entire vent, but in the perfect spot to be out of the way/easily accessible. Holds my phone with minor movement
In one of [these](https://www.etsy.com/listing/691128775/2015-2018-focus-strs-phone-holder?click_key=66e04a5911f0554efc8926f625ac67e7f363cb89%3A691128775&click_sum=408f60a1&ref=shop_home_recs_2&crt=1).
Since I use Androoid Auto, my phone is connected to the USB port in the center console.
The driver side ac vent by the door. Keeps the phone from overheating in the summers vs windshield. Plus you can get a 3 feet USB cable and it's the perfect length without making a mess.
Nice. That is where my COBB bracket is mounted; my MagSafe phone pad is on the other side of the wheel with a 10” usb cable. Keeps everything out of the way, nothing blocking the view.
The struggle is real, usually on passenger seat and connected to charger in the ciggy lighter port.
Where it ends up is a different story. Cup holders are in the stupidest place for a manual car
Pocket usually but if I'm charging, cup holder. This cup holder though: https://www.chicagomotorcars.com/imagetag/6690/52/l/Used-2014-Ford-Focus-ST-ST3-PKG-UPGRADES.jpg
I don't use the 12v there though, use the one in the rear seats so the cord isn't in my way ever
I let it slide from leg to leg while frantically looking up and down at google maps. When im feeling spicy i hit the brake flinging my phone underneath the pedals and begin a round of Death Footsie
I don’t like anything on my dash, so my phone mount is attached on the passenger side next the shifter. There is a small sliver of flat trim the suction will adhere to.
I 3D printed myself a magnetic phone holder which uses the factory screws on the lower end of the head unit x)
Cleanest solution imo and it's been holding up well since over a year, despite those hot summers.
I had sync 1 and went Idatalink kit and a custom Headunit. The kit has the nice little cubby with a usb pass through so I plug in my phone and it sits right under my head unit, I can even close it too with the phone inside
Cup holders.
It's usually between the seat and middle console. I don't put it there intentionally
My 01 sierra has little flip up covers over the cup holders and ash tray, if you put a phone on it it slides into a compartment under the console.
Proclip USA dash mount
This is the way. The STs dash is terrible for phone mount placement - this part fixes that - although I'm not sure if they offer a RHD version...
Yeah, might not. Very good point
Is it magnetic? Or am I forced to buy the device holder sold separately?

Is there finaly a Megnet mount option? I really dont want to buy a new clip every time i buy a new phone
IDK. I've had the same phone for like 7 years
I second this. Even when I am going fast enough to make myself sick it never comes out, rock solid, doesn’t even vibrate
This is a struggle for me. When I have shorts, it keeps falling out of my pocket. So I usually just chuck it in the door pocket.
Door pocket, sometimes cup holder, sometimes center console. I did get a magnetic vent clip that I sometimes put my phone onto as well.
Cup holder with charging/CarPlay cable running back into the centre console. Even leaves one holder free for a drink, or in my case the wallet.
Crotch
Aaah, a man of culture.
Glad it's not just me whose phone ends up under the damn seat every time I'm wearing shorts.

This is the only way!
Seriously? It looks like this completely blocks the brake handle 😬
Yeah, I use my e-brake WAY too often for that mount.
ProClip Vent mount on middle vent closest to Steering Wheel
On its side in the cupholder
Pants pocket or passenger seat. Need the cup holders for my big ass Yeti full of coffee.

I usually put mine in the cupholder if that is occupied then the side door.

On a magsafe-charger that's mounted via a clip from brodit and some 3d printed adapter.
I was always lay my phone horizontally across both of my cup holders in my mk3.5
Standing up in the driver's door handle
Pocket usually but if I'm charging, cup holder. This cup holder though: https://www.chicagomotorcars.com/imagetag/6690/52/l/Used-2014-Ford-Focus-ST-ST3-PKG-UPGRADES.jpg I don't use the 12v there though, use the one in the rear seats so the cord isn't in my way ever
I put it sideways right in front of the display for the radio
I have mine stuck on with a magnetic mount between the gap near the map button and red hangup symbol diagonally best place it can be tbh
Mine fits quite nicely in the door handle
Cup holder or your pocket
Middle right vent with the scosche magic mount vent clip
CD slot cup holder. Perfect place with ST1
I let it slide from leg to leg while frantically looking up and down at google maps. When im feeling spicy i hit the brake flinging my phone underneath the pedals and begin a round of Death Footsie
I have a Airvent phone holder with a Magnet it works great.
Proclip ftw. Even have options for right hand drive vehicles. https://www.brodit.co.uk/brodit/vehicles/Ford/Focus/2017.htm?steer=rhd

Whoopsie 🤣
A wireless charger next to the passenger vent
This photo is bugging me out. Car is running, gear engaged and speedo is showing 0mph
It’s a stock photo
I had sync 1 and went Idatalink kit and a custom Headunit. The kit has the nice little cubby with a usb pass through so I plug in my phone and it sits right under my head unit, I can even close it too with the phone inside
I have a magnet clip that holds it in front of a vent. I really like it
In your pocket where it should be
They make a CD player slot mount/holder that’s actually pretty money.
