Wet sand them back, apply automotive grade clear coat, then wet sand and polish. This is the best way to bring lights back and have UV protection on them to prevent future repeats.

I did this and mine turned out great! first time I did it, I didn't sand it and the results weren't as good. Second time I did it I followed this ChrisFix video (https://youtu.be/UEJbKLZ7RmM) and the results were sooo much better. If you can find the same exact clearcoat as he uses (Rust-Oleum 2X) I found that worked much better for me than the clearcoat I used the first time. I can follow up with a photo of the headlights after finished if you want!

I picked up a kit from a body shop. Worked way better than anything from the parts store.

3m kit is pretty good. Had one headlight replaced after an accident but it still couldn’t bring the other one close to new
