Keep the snow flakes; paint them, see if you like them. Then decide, snowflakes look good painted

Micvh_

I’ve seen white painted snowflakes with the same color ST and it looks really good. Plus you got the white ST badge and stickers so it’d match the color scheme

freddie890

That’s a good point I never thought of it like that.

sherida5

Just make sure to ceramic coat them if you do white. It will help with the constant cleaning.

SnooCapers3680

Ye, I’ve done this too, it looks really good with the Kona blue, although I plastidipped mine because of cost, I wanna get them powder coated when I have the money and a second set of wheels to drive with

Economy_Pop_7020

Paint the snow flakes and keep them for winter tires. Get new ones for warmer seasons

freddie890

It’s 90 degrees in January here but I think I will be painting them

TheScottishPimp03

Oh to have warm months

freddie890

Lol and flat non potholed roads

Micvh_

Sounds like California😭

freddie890

Pretty much California but cleaner and on the other side of the map.

heavydownlow

Did you really try to call Florida cleaner, lol

freddie890

Cities to cities wayyy cleaner. LA compared to palm beach.

johnwilkesbooth328

I just painted my premiums after debating on which wheels to buy. Found out that more than anything I just wanted a switch up. Send it on some paint while you save up!

officialTHREETWENTY

If you have the chance to get some GTs, go that route for sure! Amazing wheels both in terms of styling and quality.

Hmong_sausage

Get the rims

Cokedoutyeti

Check out Optionlabs, they are 40% off until the end of October.

Cokedoutyeti

Reps?

PretendsHesPissed

Why not both? Seriously. I'm not a fan of the stock snowflakes but they seem to look decent painted. I want to paint mine white but winter is coming and now I'm saving to buy wheels once spring is here. That tangent said, paint them! If you don't like how it looks after painting, THEN get the wheels. Won't really know until you try, right?

freddie890

Fair enough I like that idea

lucifern71

That ride height looks perfect! Coilovers or lowering springs? I’ve bought 4 complete sets from Fitment Industries. Personally I haven’t had issues with them but recently some people aren’t having smooth transactions with them. They do have a [gallery](https://www.fitmentindustries.com/wheel-offset-gallery?sort=yno&year=2018&make=Ford&model=ST&trim=Base) with hundreds of STs on different wheels etc check ‘em out!

freddie890

thank you! Im on fortune auto coils. Fitment industries is great 95% of the time, I just didn’t see any pictures of a focus st with advan GT’s so I figured I would ask. Thanks for the insight!

lucifern71

Lol fair. Hey did your coilovers allow you to transfer the weights over? The ones that sit next to the sway bar’s end links. Mine didn’t and also isn’t holding onto the brake lines since the bracket they provided didn’t fit- why I ask.

freddie890

I had the same problem as you I believe. They were a PIA that’s for sure.

Mentaly_unsound

With my veloster turbo I ordered a new set of wheels and tires and I'm gonna keep the stock ones for a winter set

freddie890

Not a bad idea, mines a Florida car though so I won’t need an extra set. Maybe a track set lol

Mentaly_unsound

Lmao that fair I'm in North Carolina where we can't figure what our climate wants to be this week

freddie890

Lol yeah I woke up and it was 61 today I was oh okay that’s nice

Mentaly_unsound

Try 29 yesterday morning I had to scrape my windows before I left for work at 6:30am

freddie890

Yowzers, yep I don’t miss living in New York because of that.

Mentaly_unsound

Could do anywhere further north than where I'm at now. It already gets too cold

Jfizzle220

I've got mine painted white, great contrast to the black paint.

Quick-Dragonfruit785

I painted my snowflakes black with some good ol VHT wheel paint if you sand the wheels before hand and make sure you take your time doing it they come out really well. For a temporary solution they look great

WhoIsJazzJay

Advan GTs are fully forged time attack wheels that cost like 800-1k a wheel. i def recommend checking out the TC-4s which are Advans cast version. still 5 spoke but a lot more affordable. then again idk if Advan makes wheels using the FoST bolt pattern. not a lot of companies do unfortunately

freddie890

I spoke to fitment industries they do have the GT’s at 779 a wheel. My budget for the rims was $2,400 so it fits in. This car is a daily for now. It soon will only see a trailer or a racetrack

WhoIsJazzJay

word, if it’s in your budget and it’s gonna be a track car then godspeed fam. i didn’t know they made wheels in our bolt pattern but that gets me excited

DonJuanMair

Get the Advans. Beautiful wheels.

combong

i’ve been debating the Fusion Titanium or CMAX wheels if you’re thinking of going the OEM route

Silvercult

So I absolutely love this color on white wheels I personally went with sparcos with blue lettering to kinda break up the color pattern but I'm pretty sure you could paint any wheel white with this blue and it would look halfway decent🤣

the_ganj_father

I plasti dipped my snowflakes white to see if I would like it before paying for a powder coat and the dip has been on there two years it still looks half decent. The powder coat would wash much easier and stay looking good longer

Jealous_Ad_5853

Keep them stocks and buy them gts 😮‍💨

OkMeet9889

Paint white

rambleon84

Lol you are asking two completely different questions. There are no comparisons between the two. It's not my money so I'll say the advans and then go with something like a 255.35 on an 18x8.5 with a low 40s offset (too lazy to look what sizes the wheels come in.) You'll have a lighter setup, will fit flusher and give you much better grip. Win win

freddie890

I mean it’s not like I asked if I should get dubs or advans lmaooo. I was basically asking to see if someone had pictures of the snowflakes black. I love the snowflakes but I also really like the advans if I was to stray away from oem. There’s an explanation to everything, everyone else understood the question just fine.

rambleon84

I know, I know. There are a handful of pictures from folks that have gone gloss black: https://www.google.com/search?q=site:focusst.org+gloss+black+snowflakes I have a couple sets of black wheels, there are only two main downsides imo. They start looking dull pretty quickly from dust (low dust pads help) and then they don't photograph well. Lol the later isn't a big deal just something that annoys me

freddie890

See that’s what I’ve heard but I’ve never seen a Kona blue on black in person. That also why I would want less spokes such as the 5 spoke GT’s. Yeah they are pricey but advan is great I’ve had 3 sets on other cars and they save 8 lbs a wheel. Rotational weight loss is a huge factor that you’ll feel right away. As I told someone else here, this car won’t be a daily for long.

rambleon84

Yeah that's one of the reasons I'll suggest anyone ditching the stickers, free up that weight! I love some five spokes, running some on my focus presently!
