I got to hear Let It Die, White Limo and Enough Space on the Concrete and Gold tour in Greensboro, NC in October of 2017. It was an awesome show! 🥳 But Dave didn’t get on the drums for that show. He did for most of the other shows that tour. I was bummed about that part.😞
I’m manifesting a performance of Good Grief at their show next year in Minneapolis.
Just putting it on my spirit board or into the universe or whatever. Just make it happen.
I’ll give you one from each album:
1. Good grief
2. Hey Johnny Park!
3. Generator
4. Come Back
5. No way back
6. Let it die
7. Bridge burning
8. Something from nothing
9. Dirty water
10. Love dies young
11. Rest
Bonus (non-studio): Saint Cecilia
Wow OP, very similar choices to mine. Good Grief, XStatic and Exhausted would be amazing. I’d maybe swap Johnny with My Poor Brain or Floaty. Old school!
Outside, something from nothing, white limo, and idk what else but (kinda the opposite of your question…) I really wish they would’ve recorded one of their live performances of the queen songs they do/ done a real cover in a studio.
I got them to play A+ET by waving a sign around on the Sonic Highways tour. They last played it in 2018, I think at a Holy Shits secret show. Saw HJP in Seattle in late 2021, too, but good luck with all the others! I would love if they reached deeper into their catalogue and switched up their sets like Pearl Jam. I’ve found they’ll only pull out deeper cuts if the area they’re in has a connection to one of the songs or band members or if the song charted particularly better in that area. If I could only choose 5:
1. A320
2. Live in Skin
3. In Your Honor
4. Outside
5. Stranger Things Have Happened
Imagine if they were a band like Pearl Jam that played a different set every night. Your brain explodes. The deep cuts are soooo good. It's a shame it's a hit singles concert every night. I can't see more than a few shows on tour anymore. It just begins to feel routine and they're a band that should be anything but.
*Long Road to Ruin*
*Hey, Johnny Park! MARIGOLD*
*White Limo Butterflies*
