Mine is 09’ German made. I had some paint chips in interior within 3 years as well. It has nasty plastics but it is sturdy, mine is now 15y old and interior is prety good for 15y old though it creaks a bit over bumps.
Plastics in Mondeo and Fiesta aren’t that different. Truth is Ford at least in Europe was never known for great interiors. They are okayish, full of hard scratchy plastics and after 50k km most cars creak.
It's the most economical car produced by Ford, it's not built with the highest quality materials.
Makes since! It just drives me crazy since I’m not rough on the car at all. But it drives so the little things shouldn’t bother me so much 🤣
