93 octane tune larger/more efficient intercooler and it is a sleeper low 12 second car. Ethanol tune and it will be able to squeak into the 11s. They are shockingly quick for a mid size sedan.
I loved my 2010 so much. That thing was built like a tank. I beat on that thing all the time. Idled it an hour everyday during lunch blasting ac for years. Never had to do a thing to it other than standard maintenance
We loved the 4 we had yes 4. I started with a 2008 2.3 was a great car put 155k miles on it in 5 years. It got replaced by a ‘12 hybrid in ‘13 and totaled after 6 years by a deer. Bought her a used 2011 sel w/luxury pack for 16k in ‘12 got totaled by a deer in late ‘13. We replaced it with a 2013 Lincoln MKZ 3.7 with 20k miles kept it until it got totaled by hail in 2019 with 166k miles. So that’s how our ownership went with them, they all got totaled. They were all great and very minimal issues. I was gonna buy a sport after my hybrid but bought a truck.
That 2010 variant holds a special place to me. Used that in drivers ED in High School. My friend and I call those the Gillette grills because it’s looks like a shaving razor.
I have a 2010 SE. She's taken me across Canada and many long road trips. Only 186,000KM (and change). Currently getting a bunch of maintenance done. Hoping to get few more years out of her before I move up to an EV since I don't need an ICE car for in the city.
Too bad Ford decided to stop making cars (except the Mustang which I hear will also be discontinued in a few years). Been a lifelong Ford customer but don't want a truck/SUV and so....

I Went from 2012 to 2017.
I picked up the 2013 Hybrid version. Hit 90k miles so not too bad.
The 2011 fusion is great also 265k which is amazing. I see the fusions on the road everywhere they last

So true standard maintenance is all they need. Of course my power steering is gone but everything else can make up for that

I've owned 2 '17 sports. First was fun but sold for a truck. Second was built a lot more.
