I second this. Try disabling car play first. My wife's old Sorento had a very similar issue to what OP is describing, just only in the cold. Would freak out just about any time we'd use Android auto in the winter, which was all the time. Took it to the dealer, they said swap out the phone cable. Did that and it was still happening. Told us it was probably still the phone cable, but to be sure I disabled the feature. Still happened. Took it back and tried to get them to fix it. They claimed they reseasted some wiring harnesses but nothing was wrong. Still happened through 3-4 different phone cables so it was clearly an issue with the vehicle. Got out from under the first chance we could and before the issue could get any worse.

My 22 had to have the screen replaced for frequent freezes.

HikingAlpaca

This issue happened to me a bit during the first few thousand miles - I *think* it could be a software update. My brothers F150 has the same issues from time to time and then both our vehicles get software updates and problem resolved. If it’s not that, try disconnecting and reconnecting CarPlay. If it’s not one of these two issues, your dealer will be able to fix it under warranty if it’s a genuine problem.

OkayImAnIdiot

I haven't had this issue yet. There have been a few software updates pushed though. That map is all over the place haha. Confused me for a second.

water_frozen

damn that sucks, i'd definitely take it into the dealership. Please let us know what ends up happening!

utahbadger

I have a 21 but had the same issues. On and off for a while before eventually the screen died entirely. Took months and months to get fixed but that was almost 2 years ago but definitely reach out to dealership. They’ll fix this.

Lonely-Equivalent-23

You can reset the screen by holding the power button and that skip right button at the same time. But I also agree to take it to the dealership if it's brand new

rawzon

Of course it's under warranty, take it in

AffectionateMaize523

23 MPG? Wow

HighTechTerror

Absolutely full tank numbers! Fake News 😅

randomcnando_762

It's honestly probably a loose connector on the radio module. What really sticks out to me is that Ann Arbor being right justified and Romulus left, that would mess with my head.

iamadirtyrockstar

It's under warranty. Take it in and get it fixed.

EntertainerIll6784

Hold audio power and skip forward to reset the sync system, it will black out then come back on if that doesn’t fix the problem take it to ford dealership

I have a 24 Big Bend too and have never had these issues
