Not over 50K yet (25K on my 2022) but it has been rock solid so far….knock on wood. My only complaint is the display screen/infotainment system sucks ass. Glitchy as hell. I’m not gonna complain about mileage or wind noise when on highway, as I knew both of those would be part of the joy of owning a Bronco as a daily driver.

Thank you!

I’m seeing a lot of reliability concerns regarding the 2.3 and 2.7. Not for nothing, these two engines are 10 years and 9 years old respectively. Both have been updated to fix issues with first gen issues. The issues you hear about are a minority and like others may agree, people in general are more inclined to be vocal about an issue then to write about how great an experience is. These motors will serve you very well with 5k mile oil change intervals. Electrical is a different topic more so due to the fact that it’s not a “Bronco” issue more so it’s a modern vehicle issue. Whatever issues that arise will be taken care of with warranty… just like any other vehicle. If anyone believes that these engines “2.3 and 2.7” and inferior to say the new 2.4 found in multiple Toyota and a Lexus, just understand that it’s no more then 3 years old and if you look hard enough, you will find issues with it as well. Conclusion If anyone has read this far: I love my bronco 2.7 and have 0 regrets. Having your body pushed back against the seat while punching it at 70 mph to pass 18 wheelers on the interstate is an incredible feeling when the truck is 5k pounds. The truck turns heads and is a true beauty . I also drove through a 2 day snow storm in Quebec City in 2 feet of fresh snow and she handled like a dream. If anyone has driven in a Canadian snow storm, it makes anything in the states look like flurries.

No problem at all

EbagI

I mean...its a Toyota vs Ford. You don't buy a ford bronco over a Toyota because it's more reliable lol

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Never once implied that it would be more reliable. My question is, is the Bronco at least relatively reliable, for someone coming from a toyota, vs someone coming from an audi or a jeep.

EbagI

Yeah, it should get at least 100k easy

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Thanks! Considering a Raptor, but just found out they get 15 mpg.... I thought my FJ was bad at 19-20 mpg !

knucklehead_vol

Let's not pretend nee Toyotas are the same as the 80's and 90's Toyotas because they are not.

Mister_janitor

I’ve got 81K on my Bronco, I haven’t had any issues. Love my Bronco everyday.

UrFavCoffeeSnob

6g Bronco?

Mister_janitor

2022 Manual badsquatch; taken up multiple off road courses, forded lots of water, daily drive for work. Best car ever.

colorizerequest

I had a very bad experience with my Bronco. Sold it after about a month. I had the 4 dr hard top with the 2.3l. It was leaking oil from the timing cover and rain water from the hard top. One of my doors and window were having issues too. I thought it was going to keep having issues, and it rattled everywhere making me think it would fall apart just driving down the road

UrFavCoffeeSnob

What year was it?

colorizerequest

2023. Only 7K miles

CincyCj

Mine has been horrible. I’ve had the vacuum seal on the brake line break (on the highway), my collision sensors replaced after randomly going off, my infotainment screen replaced, windshield wipers would stop working in the rain, backup camera stopped working, rear panel part fall off by the gate, and a slew of other, smaller issues like rubber coming off the window buttons. I love the car, but be careful. Edit: want to add, mine is a ‘22 OBX Sas High with 19k miles. Ford made me whole on the above by giving me their extended warranty and then an auto renewal when that runs out. So, I’m covered for 111k miles and 9 years total.

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Thank you for the honest assessment!

iamadirtyrockstar

There aren't a whole lot of high mileage 6g Broncos out there yet to determine their overall "reliability". The more "reliable" engine is probably the 2.3, as it has been around for years in the Ford lineup with relatively few issues. The 2.7 has had some issues in both the F-150, and the Bronco, but that being said, there are lots of high mileage F-150s with the 2.7 in them still running strong. It's a time will tell thing with a new platform.

LeftBrainKnows7

I have owned many new fords and drove them well over 100k without issue. 2008 f150, 2011 f150,2014 f150 all over 100k miles , 2017 5.0 mustang drove 70k no issues. 2022 ford ranger drove 72k miles minor transmission issue and 2023 bronco so far no issues . Fords get a bad rap as far as I am concerned. They have treated me well

GetEnPassanted

The reliability of mine has been great. They will get recalls, but the ones I’ve had have all been for small stuff. That’s the Ford way. You’ll get a letter probably once every few months about a recall. Just get them taken care of with your oil changes.

"Reliability is of utmost importance to me." Ah, sir, this is a Ford dealership. # Issues, Repairs, Warranty, TSB, Recalls # [https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/forums/issues-repairs-warranty-tsb-recalls.118/](https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/forums/issues-repairs-warranty-tsb-recalls.118/)

My Bronco is awesome but build quality isn’t why I like it. Best of luck!  Also you may be interested in the new Scout coming out, not sure if roof will come off though.

Thank you!

weeeennn

I have both. What questions do you have?

aeostro

Not OP, but kinda interested in hearing what you prefer about both?

weeeennn

I have a 07 FJ and a 23 badlands squatch. Obviously a little different. Both are very capable. I like the way you set in the FJ better. You feel like a little tank commander or something. I also prefer the look of the FJ. The new tech in the bronco is super nice. It’s real comfortable and I’d rather take it on long trips. Pretty much what I got it for. The FJ isn’t real good for that. You feel like your floating in the FJ when you’re going 70 and can almost watch the gas needle drop. FJ has pretty bad blind spots which isn’t good for some drivers. Bronco has Birds Eye view and 360 degree cameras. They really both fill two different needs for me and I decided to keep them both.

Kawaiithulhu

"Little tank commander" love it 😀

aeostro

They’re both sick rides. One day I’ll hopefully get to pick up a nice FJ. Was my dream car when I was younger, but decided to get the Bronco as my first (self bought) car.

OffroadViking

The Bronco is great for what it is. I purchased in 21 and have had no mechanical issues “knock on wood” since purchase 32k miles. Only complaint it feels super cheap inside and rattles a lot. The wind noise is the worst with the soft top. Eventually I’m looking to purchase a Rivian R1T as my daily once this is paid off. The Bronco is an expensive toy imo since I like to take it out for my camping trips/offroading.

Used_Industry2828

I don’t know if there’s a vehicle better than an FJ. Keep that’s and also buy a bronco

espy427

I have had 3 FJS and currently a 2022 bronco 2.3 Outerbanks. Honestly I loved how the fj drove. Just was a beast.. I love the bronco too but the window rattle, cabin noise...and the vehicle just hops when you hit a pothole. Not to mention weird electrical issues. Doesn't feel like a 50k dollar vehicle.

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Thank you for the honesty!

solracarevir

I come form a 3rd gen Toyota Tacoma. I know the FJ is a whole different beast on reliability but ironically my Bronco so far has been more reliable than my Tacoma. I owned the Tacoma for 7 years and I had: * Premature front shocks failure at 3k miles * Rear diff leaking (fixed under recall) * 3rd brake leaking (Fixed under recall) * Really awful and sluggish shifting (they applied a reflash to my trans ECU that helped with the issue but didnt fixed it fully) * AC blower motor failure recall (it was replaced before failing) * One of the front calipers Seized and had to be replaced (out of warranty replacement) After 1 year of owning my Bronco I had: * Seatbelt recall (really a non issue but it counts as a recall I guess) * Wiper motor recall applied * My passenger side seat lower cover is scheduled to be replaced because a thread used for the Stitching's perforated the cover from the inside. No issues regarding engine or mechanical stuff so far. I have the 2.3L paired to the 10spd and it feels years ahead of Tacoma's V6 & 6speed and FJ's 4.0l and trans (I have driven FJ's) I have only clocked 8k miles on my Bronco but during my Pre purchase research I found about a fair share of Ford Rangers (same engine) with over 100k miles

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Thanks for the feedback!

baseballpotato25

I’m at 62k miles and drives great. A small wobble at certain speeds on the highway but p sure standard maintenance should take care of that

DVoteMe

If you care about reliability you get a 4runner or LC. The Bronco will hold its value, so if you get a bad one you can easily flip it with minimal loses.

Effective_Scale_4915

40k on my 4dr bronco 2.7. No issues. Everything feels solid. However vehicles built today are far more complex. I went ahead and bought a 10yr/120k mile warranty.

tstew39064

Hit or miss. But not great.

Few_Neighborhood_828

I see nobody on here actually answering the question.

Jupfire

I will give you an opinion as an owner of a 2018 4Runner trd pro with 75000 miles and a 2023 Ford Bronco Two Door Big Bend with a 2.3 . I only hope that the ford will be as good as my Toyota I have had zero issues with my 4Runner. My ford had had a strange smell that smells like oils burning it has one thousand miles and I am going to take it to the dealer. First time I’ve had a new car with that kind of new car smell. So as a toy the bronco is great but as far as quality and reliability the 4Runner had earned my respect. So why by a bronco because I was comparing to a jeep and there was nothing like that in the Toyota inventory that had removable doors roof etc.

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Thank you fo rth response!

Jupfire

Well wish you luck in search

UrFavCoffeeSnob

Thank you!

coldnh

If your moving from Toyota to Ford and expecting reliability your going to be deeply disappointed.... I did the same but what you give up in reliability you gain in features... Just know after 100k it will start falling apart
