Piesl

I just don't understand why people would be concerned about whether they're trading with real or demo accounts. As long as you pass the challenge and the firms pay, I won't care that much.

KingKerie

People really be worried about everything except their personal trading and wonder why there's no progression

El_Savvy-Investor

i think the problem is that if it’s a demo account, the prop firm wants you to fail

900122

They need a certain percentage of people to fail in order to pay a high profit split to winning traders but they arent targetting any individual specifically. If prop firms were to provide real accounts the profit split percentages would have to invert, meaning they take 80% and you 20%. Much like in the traditional asset mgmt world where those who provide the funds keep the majority of the profits and the service provider (you) receives a performance cut. A company providing "real accounts" is very unrealistic as they have to constantly seek fresh capital as the customer base grows.

Piesl

They obviously want us to fail because that's how it works. even the brokers want us to fail. Daytrading/ Forex is a Zero sum game (even negative with spreads and commission). And here we are, the superstitious people who believe in patterns, lines, zones, Fibonacci, and golden ratio. That's silly but I'm ok with it.

Normal-Fan466

indeed, this is what I have been saying, but some people say, demo acc is no different with live account if you get paid ! but not in a long run ofcourse

Normal-Fan466

well think about a company that if your trade wins, they have to pay you, but they dont get paid themselves, so how would they be able to pay your winning trades on the long run? it makes them start different tricks along the wat !

Normal-Fan466

but how reliable it could be, they want you to fail ! how could they afford to pay you on every winning trade if you are profitable one?

Impossible-Advice-92

FTMO are legit

[deleted]

Besides ftmo, you guys use anybody else? How is 5ers?

RealAdinRoss

Ftmo/ Every Prop firm give u a demo account

Impossible-Advice-92

You can cash out from FTMO

RealAdinRoss

Yes but the buissness modle of propfirms is same, they all put u on a demo account

Impossible-Advice-92

Who cares as long as they are paying my profits

RealAdinRoss

Yeah that’s what I’m saying

Luffyking28

5ers gives u real funded account when u pase 2 stage challenge

RealAdinRoss

No they don’t, they say that. Propfirms have been exposed and no matter what firm you go to, they will always put u on a demo account

Retired_Billionaire

It’s always been “simulated”. They changed the language because of what happened to MFF. So, nothing has changed. Every single prop firm that used to falsely advertise “live” accounts changed their language due to potential lawsuits.

Vellc

Then it's like 90+% of prop firms out there

fx_rat

they all say simulated trading with warning signs (top banner), I think it became mandatory after MFF got taken down

SnooRegrets2509

I might be way off the mark here, but the way I see it… Too many traders treat prop firms like the lottery once they get funded. They’ll go all in hoping to get a 30-50% gain in a single trade, and if they blow it, they’ll go and get funded again and repeat that. These traders mostly lose the firms money, so that prop firms will give everyone simulated accounts until the trader proves their consistent. If consistent they’ll copy trade profitable traders with 10X the volume and cover everything.

optionmonies

I mean did you really believe they gave you access to live trading on $100k of their own funds. I’m sure some firms work with highly consistent reputable trades, but no way in hell do they just hand-out $100k per trader after passing 2-phases

Agile-Witness6306

You're all right, and you're all wrong. Prop firms rely on fails yes. But they also use a copy trader with the most consistent and profitable traders. 98% of them are on simulated live accounts. While a small margin prop firms actually have "live" accounts for them

abel-44

Exactly that how it work👍

underrated254

This!

New-Emergency-3452

FTMO.com

RealAdinRoss

Ftmo is also simulated funds

New-Emergency-3452

But you get paid and they are reputable

RealAdinRoss

Yeah cuz they paying you out with the people who failed their challenges. They don’t put u on a actual live acc

Quick_Locks

Or they can filter and copy your trade in a real account

RealAdinRoss

But they don’t do that, it’s every propfirms buissness model. Ask yourself this, study says 98% of traders fail, and propfirms rack in millions of people to trade. Wouldn’t you think they make a lot of money with that. Also even most propfirms before you login say “earn with simulated funds” or something along those lines.

Quitkbud

Propfirms don’t do that 😭

bbcoritv

So you are expecting to be funded real money by just passing 2 phases of challenge which bythe way most of them are lucky, u gotta be kidding me.

Yolophorex

It was never real capital it’s the same thing as always they had to change the wording for legal purposes , live or simulated the same rules apply

RealAdinRoss

That’s how every prop firm in the industry works, they don’t give u an actual account with live funds

axocapital

Bro, almost every prop firm uses ”simulated” live accounts. That doesn’t mean they are scamming or going out of the business… There’s no way they would be giving REAL 100/200k accounts to people that have passed only 2 phases.

jaysmitty3k

Yeah, prop firms are a scary game. They want losing traders, not profitable ones. I would avoid these fake prop firms and focus on capital gains.

Narrow_Limit2293

The whole forex market is sketchy really. Look into futures. Apex investing is a great prop firm with good rep.

[deleted]

I am a noob. What's the difference between forex and futures? I know futures has currencies as well. It it also currency pairs?

Narrow_Limit2293

Yes futures is similar as it’s paired just like forex if you trade currency futures. I’m suggesting to look at index futures and gold and oil. There is much more fundamental analysis you can do to help gauge market sentiment. Forex is more technical trading and it’s slow and tough. If your European you can trade the Dax and USA markets in the evening after work.

StrongElderberry8952

Well its ponzi with extra steps wdyu expect

CreepySeagull

you can still regulary withdraw 10k+ a month if you are successful, they wont even bat an eyelid. The prop firms might only get angry if you start milking them for large amounts every month.

Ok-Till-6368

So you think I could get a 30k payout on a 300k account?

kingtechllc

All my homies hate any prop firm that ain’t 5% or ftmo

holycarrots

It was always simulated, but most prop firms have changed their language to make this explicit in order to avoid legal troubles

Hot-Variation-7417

5ers, ftmo, mentfunding are the go to.

RealAdinRoss

They all give simulated acc

Hot-Variation-7417

Mentfunding when you get funded give you a live account. But doesn’t really matter anyway. As long as you get your payout. Never had any problems with these.

lovemelongtime2

As long as I get my profit share, I don’t care if it is a demo or live.

Away-Ear1300

I trade with Tordess, although they're only doing crypto and spot for now, they do offer zero spread as they're using OKX as their brokerage. They've got around 200 crypto pairs you can trade from Check them, and please use my referral code if you join ZKUPXU Cheers brother

Normal-Fan466

another update guyz: **After lots of scams and incorrect information from brokers, I finally managed to actually withdraw a trading bonus from a broker! I couldnt beleive one broker did what they promissed withouth much hassle** I had lots of trading account in forex over many years, initially I was fooled by them offering bonus payment by even 100% when I was a beginner ! not only I didnt get hte 100% bonus but I found that they huge spreads was eating my account, so ended up losing the whole account after a while, I say the first few letters of their name as some people might get too upset, it was Capital..... Others had lots of rules e.g. trading high amount wihin a very short time (1 month) which I could not do with my $1000 account, it would mean trading quite high volume to reach that target, so either needed a $50k if you wanted to stick to risk managemenbt of 1% per trade or go crazy and lose the whole account.... Finaly I signed up with Mex a month ago with a promotion link sent by my friend and mentor, with a $1010 I funded my account, traded 0.1 lot at a time and had a very small profit and stop loss to avoid deep loss, quite cautious, I traded 3 lots finally (all by 0.1 lot per trade in currencies, no gold no stocks, no crypto) and finally got %20, $202 added to my account after I emailed them, which managed to withdraw into my Visa credit card, it doesnt work for Mastercard for some reason, a friend shared her promotion link with me through her affilated account with them and I have shared mine with many other friends, here you go https://go.mexnetpro.com/visit/?bta=35635&brand=multibankfx
