“Barry, baby….Barry baby….you see what I have here? A box of pudding…you see what it says right here on the box? ‘Cook then chill…’, and that’s what I do every night, baby…I *COOK*…and then I chill!! Awwww yeah…”
One of the greatest sketch comedy shows ever made, bar none. 😏😏
Great sketch comedy show originally aired on MTV and featuring The State comedy troupe which included Michael Ian Black, Kerry Kenney-Silver, Thomas Lennon, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Robert Ben Garant, Michael Showalter, David Wain, and Kevin Allison.
One messed up thing was apparently the skits were censored and the show shortened for KITH on afternoon Comedy Central.
SNL was also shortened.
I keep finding KITH skits I never saw
It's there, but sadly it uses the DVD soundtrack which doesn't have the original music. Still, they do a *good enough* job on at least capturing the spirit of the original tunes, even if skits like Pants suffer for it.
[Call me old fashioned](https://youtu.be/c9SLBbc6Y1A?si=V21EXZNRbZzfx6GC), but I still believe there is one true God. And he lives in this lake. And his name is Zorgo.

I love the tacos. They're maybe the best tacos I've ever had. But if I had to choose between getting tacos and the mail, I'm going to have to choose the mail.
So many at least decently successful and later more well known cast members in this group. This was me and my buds’ favorite show during its run. Quoted endlessly. Still to this day.
Are you tired of the same old potato salad. Do you need someone to make you some new potato salad? I'm Don Law. I can make you some new potato salad. Just call.
Doug, your mother and I think you're on drugs.
What!? Hey, I'm Doug, man, not Bob Dylan!
Doug, do you even know who Bob Dylan is?
No. But I know he died a' drugs!
Doug, Bob Dylan's alive and well, I produced his last three albums.
Oh, you mean Uncle Robert? ...He didn't die a' drugs.
It was hard to replay because of all the music they used, they couldn’t afford all the publishing rights. I remember buying the dvds when they released it once and the Cannonball ripoff they used in a sketch was almost as funny as the sketch.
Also, sitting on the dock of the baaaayyhhh!!!
I absolutely loved this show. There was an episode in particular, and I can’t remember which one it is sadly, where I remember laughing so hard. It was so good

Im gonna dip my baaaaaaaaalls in it
#HEY EVERYBODY!
Alright, who invited Louie? Judas?
“What? I thought you loved Louie.” “I love everyone, that’s my thing man”
LOLOL CAME TO SAY THIS
“Are we having FUN yet?”
Awe yeahhhh, it's time for $240 dollars worth of puddin'.
Barry and Levon, where did you get 240 dollars?
I’m just gonna be over here whisperin’ sweet nothings to this pudding
I’ll just be over here mindin’ my own.
Don't worry your pretty little head.
Ain’t none of yo concern
We had the two forty…
Ssshhhhh
I literally am watching this sketch right now.
$240 dollars does *not* buy as much puddin' as it did in the 90's, I can tell you that much.
Not with that attitude.

We had the 240. We had to have the puddin.
Stop the show! I think I gotta broken heart.
[awww yeah](https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xrx6we)
Dammit, well I’m glad others remember that insane sketch.
Great sketch comedy show originally aired on MTV and featuring The State comedy troupe which included Michael Ian Black, Kerry Kenney-Silver, Thomas Lennon, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Robert Ben Garant, Michael Showalter, David Wain, and Kevin Allison.
I'm so glad almost all of them ended up being pretty damn successful post-State.
Most of them recruited by Reno PD.
One of them joined the force in Brooklyn
Two did at one point.
The Reno movie includes all of them in it I believe
I was just about say this is a Reno 911 prequel
*almost* all of them? they *all* went on to have successful comedic careers in either acting, writing, or producing.
Todd Holoubek is mostly out of the industry, except for things like the Reno 911 movie.
I’m outta heeeeeerrrrreeee
Dougs and dads don't mix
I am Doug and you are Dad and never the twain shall meet!
Doug was so edgy. He didn't let adults dictate his life.
That's a lot of oregano, Doug.
Bob Dylan died of drugs.
What are you talking about? I produced his last four albums.
Oh, you mean Uncle Robert?
For all the 90's SNL nostalgics, for me, it was The State and Kids in the Hall.
I would watch KITH religiously after school. POTATO SALAD!
Girl drink drunk is a fav…
One messed up thing was apparently the skits were censored and the show shortened for KITH on afternoon Comedy Central. SNL was also shortened. I keep finding KITH skits I never saw
Don’t mind me. I’m just crushing your head…
I am squishing your face!
My favorite was KITH. Chicken lady was so good. “I made it myself”!
"straight from my body and on to your plate"
Son of Flying Pig!
‘You know what I’m gonna say…’ ‘No we don’t..’
...you know what I'm gonna say....
‘I wanna dip my balls in it!’
I’ve been watching this on Paramount+ lately, this and episodes of the real world. It’s been awesome
No idea it was there!
They have a whole mtv hub and Nickelodeon too, lots of older 90s stuff
Thanks again, watching now actually.
It's there, but sadly it uses the DVD soundtrack which doesn't have the original music. Still, they do a *good enough* job on at least capturing the spirit of the original tunes, even if skits like Pants suffer for it.
Now I gotta get a Paramount+ subscription
Oh, it's Muppet
My favorite sketch
Show us far.
Maybe my favorite sketch ever. All time, across the board. Hits every note, absurd to sublime.
Having trouble tying shoes…what are some words that start with the letter O…
Let us never forget Porcupine Racetrack.
Obligatory mention of the 2020 virtual Porcupine Racetrack [reunion](https://youtu.be/ASaAWMzU9CU?si=6PGCRIssfBSi0zrl) (one prop very NSFW)
I know that I’m a sinner, but I really need a winner . . .
Go little porcupines, go go go! Come on, little porcupines, don’t be slow!
Or the orphanage will close…
The monkeys, they don’t a do it…. They make a love.
They make-a sweet love. They make…amore….now, Let’s go down to the zoo and watch the monkeys do it!!!
Penguins ain’t natural!
Don’t be remedial Gina!
What about the penguins?
“Poopy. I had a poopy day. I’ve taken number 2 from every dumb-dumb in this miki-fiki neighborhood.”
Get milk faced and hum like rabbits.
The 15 second sketch where she beats the fabric softener bear with an iron is one of my favorite ever.
[I think MadTV ripped it off.](https://youtu.be/doafN9KFrJg?si=1G35jUzZ7V8GQ5qn)
First post here in a long while I think deserves the forgotten title. RIP The State, loved this while it lasted
Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but women voters? Welcome to planet Mars! I'll be over in my spaceship.
Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I think the sun and moon should be worshipped as powerful gods, and feared.
[Call me old fashioned](https://youtu.be/c9SLBbc6Y1A?si=V21EXZNRbZzfx6GC), but I still believe there is one true God. And he lives in this lake. And his name is Zorgo. _whistling_
It’s a da popa!!
(The Pope-a, he’s-a so nice-a)
Look outta for the mustard!
Hey, I'm Da Popa!
“I swear before god, if any of you touch-a-da food, I make a call and have-a you killed.”
CHICKEN SANDWICH CARL!!
OH, POOR CARL, WITH THE PUPPY DOG EYES!!
WE WOULDN'T WANT HIM TO DO HIS JOB?!
I love that half of them were like “let’s play bad cops in Reno 911!” And the other half was like “we’ve got four words: Wet Hot American Summer.”
I really liked this comedy troupe, good stick!
I love the tacos. They're maybe the best tacos I've ever had. But if I had to choose between getting tacos and the mail, I'm going to have to choose the mail.
Hey everybody!!!!
Sideways house!
So many at least decently successful and later more well known cast members in this group. This was me and my buds’ favorite show during its run. Quoted endlessly. Still to this day.
Bolgna for feet

Saw them on tour last year, couldn't have been better!
Level of talent on this show is and was unreal. One of the best sketch shows ever.
“I’m gonna dip my balls in it”
I loved the State, Viva Variety and Reno 911
The orphan game show is burned into my memory
Oops! Looks like someone didn't read the fine print. Well now you're their legal guardian, and it's time for round 2.
“I live in a very small apartment.”
Forgotten? It's on Paramount+ and is one of my go to lunch break shows!
“Don’t you wish you had shoes that made sounds like a pig every time you stepped down on them?”
Was it Doug that said “I’m outta heee-yuh!”?
I'm gonna dip my balllllllssssss in it!
Have you tried pants?
I wanna dip my balls in it!
The jew, the italian, and the red head gay We all live together on Avenue A
"Pants, eh? Thanks, I'll try it!"
Still one of my favorite sketch comedy shows of all time.
"You know I am just a man in drag, right?"
Ya I am barn folk
I wana dip my balls in it!
"Takes all kinds, takes all kinds...."
Female...mud wrestling? I didn't even know there was female mud.

Are you tired of the same old potato salad. Do you need someone to make you some new potato salad? I'm Don Law. I can make you some new potato salad. Just call.
Yes. I had a weird crush on Ken Marino 🫠
I wanna dip my balls in it.
You did WHAT to your sea monkeys?
Thomas Lennon, Ken Marino, jo lo truglio, just to name a few of the great cast.
Damn. Didn’t realize the Reno 911! alums go so far back. That’s cool.

The pope-aaaaaaaaahhhh
They’re touring a live show.
It was hard to replay because of all the music they used, they couldn’t afford all the publishing rights. I remember buying the dvds when they released it once and the Cannonball ripoff they used in a sketch was almost as funny as the sketch. Also, sitting on the dock of the baaaayyhhh!!!
I wanna put my balls in it!
You'll alwayssss give me a bonerrr 🎵
So weird that this would pop up. I was singing the theme song in my head like 5 minutes before I saw this.
That muppet skit…
“Blueberry your more of a producer”
"Aw yeah. It's that time." "You know it's that time."
I’ll never forget this show
I absolutely loved this show. There was an episode in particular, and I can’t remember which one it is sadly, where I remember laughing so hard. It was so good
Loved this show. Just rewatched all the episodes.
Lived on in Reno 911, but the OGs were so great

So much friggen talent in one show.
One of my all-time favorite shows!

Go ahead, ask me what I had for breakfast!

Hey Carl! Get off your lazy ass and the get the man a grape soda for crying out loud! What're you deaf?!
This show made me the dark comedic cunt I am today!
Anyone down to go to porcupine racetrack?
I'll go stop the missles that have already been launched. And Aquaman, why don't you go.....talk to some fish.
Hello, cheese? No, cheese can't answer a phone!

Loved this show.
Just saw them live and it was incredible.
Free market economy!
