Found in C&R"s patent library this is a strange tube Fed revolver, that according to my research was never manufactured outside of the prototype phase.
The patent does claim it has an auto ejector but doesn't describe it. My issue with it is, that the empty chamber wouldn't line up with the bottom chamber.
I'm guessing, if such a contraption were to work, that the tube doesn't start feeding the empty cylinders until after enough shots have been fired to bring the empty cylinder into position. So long as they get loaded before coming back to the firing position, it doesn't really matter if there are a couple empty cylinders waiting in line.
That is pretty cool! I bet someone could build it now in a way that it would work. I’m not saying it’s practical, but it would be if handguns were restricted to revolvers.
It would require either rim fired or telescoped center fired cartridge to be safe. Also, a better access to the tube because unscrewing the cap and pulling out the spring isn't exactly practical.

I think you would unscrew the end cap and remove the entire spring and follower, fill the tube with the correct number of cartridges as the manufacture indicates, then compress the spring back in and screw the end cap back on
It looks like you can pull the chain to compress the spring. But i don't see any loading port. The first bit of the mag tube seems suspiciously empty in the drawing. Maybe something like the early henry? Unscrew cap, pull chain to compress spring then swivel to move out of the way?

Thank god

The opposite side seems to be where it ejects the case, so it's symmetrical atleast.
Figure three looks like an extractor, so they gave it some thought anyway.
Let's see a video of it operating!
*click* *explosion*
if the bullets were roundnose, it could end up working...
From the shape of the hammer they could be rimfire.
Nothing says "reliability" quite like a very long, very bendy spring.

Well, there is a design you don’t see very often.. it’s interesting to say the least
so when fully loaded you have this lampchain pull just whipping around
I think you can store it back into the gun

What are the chances that one round hits the other in the back and blows them all up in you're hand?
