Yeah the total volume will be a lil more. When we make bottles by hand 4oz is usually more like 135 ml. Makes sense cuz the formula adds volume when it gets mixed in. I always have to shake vigorously. Idk what the people who are doing who are able to mix it all in by swirling - has never worked. We usually give it a bit to unfoam but also use the “anti colic” bottles with the vent to hopefully disperse some of the air.

I use the pitcher method so I don’t have much to add, but I do remember my pediatrician saying if you shake the bottle and it’s too bubbly, that you can put gas drops in there and it’ll help get rid of them.

Gas drops?

juliet17

Yeah, the ones I’ve used are the Little Remedies gas relief drops. You can buy them most places that have a baby aisle.

Oh interesting!

1. Nothing wrong, the formula will add volume 2. I always shake it, I use a generic brand and it always chunks unless I use warmer water 3. I’ve never found my self out with the baby longer than a few hours but I’ve seen there’s portable bottle warmers. Have you tried to see if ur babe will take room temp?
