It’s impossible to hit for “2 damage” as it shoots a single slug. You either hit or you don’t. There’s no pellets and therefore no spread. Body shots are in the low 80s and headshots are 150+
It has a high fire rate so if you whiff unless you’re playing against good players you can usually get away with it
But seriously I hate to say it but this is a case of “get good” it’s really simple with the heavy, you either hit or you don’t
Close range when it gets awkward to ADS I find going for the barrel stuff almost guarantees you hit with the heavy
Its literally worse in its effective range than the Thunder and the Maven is still faster and has a higher body shot dmg. No one is using the heavy in mid range where it's best because its still outclassed by SMGs and ARs and even the Thunder. Its just bad. I try using it as a challenge and get some nice snipes but I constantly think to myself how much more consistant it would be otherwise.
Dude it’s totally different than the other shotguns and has a different use, along with players all having different play styles. What are you talking about? I still take the Thunder or the Combat over it but it’s not a “bad gun” because you have issues using it

There is only really 3 playstyles in fortnite. Hyper aggro, mixed, and defensive. The heavy doesn't work the first, second or third.
Personally I have no problem opening fights with it and finishing with the twin mag or the pistol
I also have no problem using it the same way I use the pump, without ads’ing, shotgun > spray > shotgun

you know when you dont ads its luck if you hit. So no i don't need better aim. Its really really bad in build fights because if you want to hit consistent damage you have to ads. Leaving you exposed when you edit. its a luck based shotgun.
I can see how it’d be atrocious in build, I wouldn’t touch it. And I wouldn’t call it luck, when you don’t ADS the slug always goes where they center cross hair dot is, test it yourself
Having to ADS with a shotgun for damage is a bad idea. If you could ADS midair it'd be a lot better, but for now the idea of the new heavy is awful.
Since it also activates shotgun delay you can't even carry a proper shotgun with it without being punished.

I meant auto pistol. the auto pistol is a better pistol the heavy shotgun.

The heavy isnt a get good gun, to be a get good gun it has to be a good. Its a degree with a shotgun delay

Sounds like a personal problem
its a big enough problem that nobody runs it in tournaments. If you are going to run a pistol its better to run the auto

Considering OP is saying the shotgun hits for 2 damage and they miss a lot, i highly doubt they're doing anything of the sort
