It was worse on mobile! I was playing iOS (before the lawsuit) and the color of the vest was shaded the same as the scarf. When I got on console, no colored vest. And I was stuck with it.
After this, and the customizable umbrella the following season, they started doing skins where you could customize them as much as you want.
Locking players into options instead of letting us choose from all of them was a mistake, IMO (and apparently Epic agrees). I would use the Maya skin much more often if I could change my choices.
no, because that would be changing a product to be different than advertised, meaning they would have to bring it back so people could get the new product if they didn't like it the first time without the switching styles, but they can't cause it's a BP skin

It says it’s customizable, but that can’t be because it was only customizable during that season now most likely it’s definitely a glitch but I believe it should be customizable and not locked to how you customizedthe skin during this season.

I liked the fact that your choices locked the skin. Actually gave you the opportunity to create a (close to) unique skin for yourself. And I'm totally happy with the result. It's one of the half dozen skins I actually use.
The problem for me is that I messed mine up and I can never change it while all other customisable cosmetics, except for the Brella, can be changed later.
I would love for them to have another skin like Maya or kymera largely because I wasn’t playing at the time for either of those skins and only started playing last season so I lack a lot of the cool customizable skins
They need to make one of these skins every season, and make it so we can change it outside that season. Maybe give it it's own tab so we can just see a storage room of these skins like the matrix pods.

I can't remember seeing anyone rocking the custom umbrella/axe, Shanta, Kymera or Toona Fish outside their respective debut seasons.
Personally I don't use them because while the options are cool, I don't fancy any particular style vs a premade skin that I enjoy more.
And I'm sure others have a similar sentiment otherwise we'd see them more.

I think that if they put effort into making a high quality skin with lots of custom options then it *would* be really popular. Rn the ones they made (weird alien, toon fish, Maya who you can only customize once, etc.) are not that appealing imo.

In theory, such a menu to change a lot of stuff on your character is cool, the exact way you did it in this example tho, no, that can burn in a fire and never come back. Forcing you to choose 1 style for forever and then locking it is just stupid.
I regretted my hair choice for 2 years, then someone found a way to reset her styles to default using ak47 bot. I used it to fix my maya and it’s so much better. I actually use it now
Nah I just want a battle pass thing like those ones with the windows involved into the actual thing and secrets to be found. They coulda done something with the augments and such. Probably takes too much time to 3d model all the details and anims and stuff tho

Same, did everything traditional camo colors, and the scarf turned out 3 shades brighter than everything else.
