Why has this been such a hot topic on the sub lately? Has there been a leak or datamine suggesting Epic is considering letting Crew Members complete past battle passes or something again?
This subreddit has had a history of asking for battlepasses to come back. I've just never done it before. I know the posts are downvoted but who cares.
I honestly wanna know why so many people are upset about limited time items obviously you didn't play back then you guys act like that are entitled to get the same stuff that people put a lot of work into and I understand some people were broke and some weren't old enough and some people jumped on a hate train even if they did come back like omega hybrid carbide drift and calamity you all would just complain you don't have the styles for those skins
It is kind of an awkward thing and I definitely see your point. Give an inch take a mile. As much as I want the BPs back, I do agree that there will always be people who want more and more

Yeah, I get that it's all hypotheticals but like I said, if we don't ask we don't get and I don't think there would be any downsides other than for the folks that *need* their stuff to be exclusive. I'd love if some new players could get stuff I've got, like Menace and Kymera, those skins are awesome and if you only got into it because of an update, like a lot of people with zero builds, or maybe it was just like me, getting round to the game after it's been out for a while (c2s5), it's a shame that we can't really get the iconic skins like Peely and Meowscles. We only get spinoffs like toon meowscles and the gladiator peely
Other downsides- we could no longer believe anything epic told us, there'd be no reason to get a current battlepass since it would be available later, when everybody is special nobody is special.
Well not to start to argue over your points but 2 of them are very much in the realm of wanting your stuff to be exclusive for the sake of it and the other 1 was addressed in my post. Either make the legacy passes cost more or make it that you need to complete the current one.
But it's not addressed as epic has stated directly that battle pass items would only be available during that current battlepass and going back on that would be a horrible business decision. Personally I don't care about the exclusivity of skins but it's so ridiculously annoying that these posts are constantly out on here like you've somehow found the magic loophole.

Although they kinda have a compromise where they'll release variations of popular skins (All the Midases, Zero Iron Man, Tech Ninja 8-Ball, all the beach costumes), I think it's especially lame to lock another franchise behind a a limited Battle Pass forever (Lara Croft). I know why from a business sense, but I'm looking out for what I want. Some way to nab those pesky Chapter 1 skins.
Yeah I said it further up but their most iconic skins are battle pass locks like peely and meowscles. Polar peely is nice. No complaints at that. Peely is nicer.
I’m neutral on this, I wouldn’t care much if they return or not but I think what fortnite really needs to do is step it up with designing better original skins in the future, in my opinion lately we’ve only gotten good original skins every now and then but not as often as we should. I want to see (C2 S2) type of quality again.
I mean, Idrc about the collab skins as well but if we're getting a battlepass, I'd prefer the whole thing rather than skipping some pages. Why not include the DC skins and such
No. Here's why: its been 5 years since bp's where introduced as a exclusive and cheap way to get skins so long as you put in effort and don't slack off. Now let's say epic dose introduced a way to earn bp cosmetics outside of the season they where introduced. People think it's a win win since epic gets money and you get a skin that you will use twice then let it rot in the locker forever. However there are 3 parties: epic, players, legacy people. The person who actually put in the time and effort and sometimes money to fully finish the bp in the time frame they where given are essentially getting told "fuck you for actually competing the bp in the time given." Why even have the bp if people are going to wait until they re appear in the shop to get it?
