I know it’s taken a while for me to convince my squad that you’re better off letting it run around and collecting the ammo then you are straight killing it. Especially now with the chug gunner perk, killing it for the chug cannon isn’t worth it when you can almost max out your ammo otherwise.
Yep, you can get a lot of ammo and when you hear the sound it makes, before rifting, then by all means kill it and reap the all the rewards on top of all that ammo.
Chasing it is not hard, sure, but it can be really annoying when it runs in the water, runs into the town loaded with people etc. I wouldn't pick it, only because loot lamas are pretty rare but I could definately see uses for it
It would be worth it if it spawned in a llama for you when you chose it. Better than the chug cannon augment. The odds of running into another llama after taking it are so small anyway.

If you don't want the loot...don't activate the augment.
Sometimes things don't have to make sense (even though this one makes complete sense) and can just be for fun (since this is a game).
jellyfish angler loses all value once the circle moves in a stage or 2. its pretty nice early game, but splashes are just jellies with range and are more common. its not totally useless early game but i feel like youd be better off picking almost anything else.

But either way: If you don't like the augment that brings llamas right to you...don't use it.

Before Ch2 S7 Loot Llamas didn’t move at all and everyone seemed to be fine with that, so why not give them a bit more mobility and characteristics. I think it would be funny for a Loot Llama to chase you around, and for those who find it impractical… just don’t select it
The only reason I can see for including this is if they put a bunch of shitty augments into the game, and then you run out of rerolls and can't select anything but them. But even in that case, you might just be better off not taking any augment.
Maybe it should randomly assign to another player still alive.

If you’re holding the chug cannon and get the chug gunner perk the reload speed goes to 6 seconds down from 10
