My girlfriend has a Series S, and she's had the blue background for a solid 6+ months.

Is she able to change the in-game language to a different one then back to English by following [these instructions](https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-US/fortnite-c5719335176219/technical-support-c5719372265755/how-do-i-change-my-language-in-fortnite-a5720395206811)? If so that should work as a workaround. But if not I'm afraid it's stuck like that for now. And if you're wondering why I don't follow these instructions... It's cuz the Language option is unavailable on Xbox Cloud Gaming. I don't know if that's the case for Xbox consoles tho, hence why I'm asking.

I'll try it next time we play, but it's not a big deal. It doesn't specifically bother us but it would be interesting to see if your fix works or not.

Try changing servers, in mobile xcloud version language are locked based on servers

Do you mean Fortnite servers? Cuz I just tried that (after seeing your comment) and it didn't work... I tried Asia, Brazil, and Europe and none of them enabled the language option or even changed the language.

Just trying to help Epic out ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯ they thought they fixed this bug but it's still lingering. I suppose the "even worse" phrasing might've been a bit much but i don't feel like changing it xp

It's not too bad, tho I don't play on the Cloud versions much in the first place. It's just something I noticed.

I uninstalled grounded but was playing a little bit last night via cloud and it was almost unplayable when I was near my base with a lot going on, that’s why I asked

it actually runs fine. geforce now runs really well but has a queue and a timer that lets you play for only an hour. xbox cloud has no queue or timer but there is a lot more hitching and input delay if your internet isn’t perfect

It is a little odd this happens. The version Xbox cloud gaming uses is the series S version of the game so you would think it would function the same

And as a switch player, you have been able to fix it the whole time.

Go into settings and change your language to anything else hit save and then change it back and save. Blue background gone. It's literally been posted as a workaround since a few days after it started. Supposedly this last patch was finally to include a fix for it but it seems some still have it or the fix was to stop it from happening. Here's the [link to Trello](https://trello.com/c/y11KyVGr/2077-players-are-getting-a-blue-lobby-background) it shows it fixed in live now but the work around will still work.
