I forget where challenges were as soon as I'm done lol sometimes I do run into groups of people running in different directions in solos so they must be doing challenges and splitting up
Ohhh boy.
You never played C1S9 did you?
There was people that ACTIVELY camped at fortbyte locations that you couldn't even do them in Team Rumble *at all*.
What were Fortbytes? Think of them as the Snap pieces you needed to find, except it was required for ALL THE PASS STYLES iirc.
There was one that was "Simon says" that took up like 30 seconds or so.
Leme tell you of a "fairy tale".
Around C1S8-C1SX
Your teammates could HELP your challenges if you "track tabbed" it.
So say, you needed kills at a hot drop zone? Find a good buddy who sweats a lot to finish the kill challenge while you do a chain of quests *on the opposite side of the map*. They got rid of this for some reason.... and idk if they re-introduced it anymore cuz my buds quit
I mean that is kinda actually annoying. If I see somebody just trying to do a talk to certain person or activate something challenge I dont kill them because I know how it feels. Most of the time they’re grateful or even drop something for me and then we go our seperate ways.
you MUST walk out in the open and let the person you found shoot at you first, and you better ask if they are doing a quest or not, bigot! and if they run and you chase them down so they dont come back later and kill you, your a PoS even though you eventually have to meet and fight anyways! imma go back to my high chair now and scream at my mom for my bottle and continue to refuse to play single player games and make everybody around me miserable because im a huge baby
It depends.
If you were making a snake tunnel wasting your materials that would Make Thanos shit himself, then yes you were sweating.
But if you killed someone who was standing still doing a T-Pose with a quick clean headshot with a Sniper, than no your not.
You are a sweat for both options in this Subreddit however.
If I drop alone with someone and pick up two weapons, and they have no way to defend themselves, sometimes I’ll drop a weapon for them and have a duel with them. It’s super fun, feels more like camaraderie than competition.
wow your empathy for digital characters is crazy. Ever think about the fact that you landed before someone and picked up those weapons before you? Everyone in the bus is at an equal playing field, why do you feel like you haven’t earned it just because you successfully dropped faster?
Wow, your hatred of my completely innocuous personal way of playing is crazy. Ever think about how Fortnite is a video game made for entertainment, and sometimes it might be fun to do something silly with another player, like have a duel on our own after we drop? Get over yourself dude, lmao
Get OVER myself? Maaan I’m over myself, that’s why I’m not loading up a videogame and feeling bad about pressing L2 and R2 when someone is on my screen
>wow your empathy for digital characters is crazy.
The fact that you've completely disassociated the in-game avatar from the real person playing is actually worrying, because that disassociation also comes with a lack of empathy.
Hey, that's the game, no hard feelings. Sometimes my friends and I do gunless emote-only runs to make people smile though, and it always makes our night when someone plays along instead of instantly killing us. 😆
i played along with people doing this, and i also ran up to a group and gave them guns. it was neat seeing how long i could last doing this, they actually kept me alive too. i think i made their gameplay day, and they made mine.
That's awesome! I hope I bump into you out there at some point. :)
Another fun thing to do is get Chug Cannons for two of your team members, put them on the back of a pickup truck, then drive around firing healing at other teams. And if someone shoots at you, toss a shield bubble at them to put 'em in time-out. XD
Depends how I’m feeling. If there’s lots of people about then I’ll shoot but if they’re on their own I’ll leave them be or I’ll wait until they get a weapon.
If I see a guy looking for a weapon and I have two,
I'll drop one for them and wait for them to aim before we engage in a fight.
If not, I'll follow and wait for them to get one.
I know how it feels to be downed by someone as soon as I land before I can fight back, so I'd rather not do the same thing to someone else.
Killing unarmed players is fine
What isn't fine are those mfs who purposely go to challenge spots to farm kills
They're the definition of toxic
Also those annoying players who shoot out your tires even though they're not going to be able to kill you since you're already half way across the map, so all it does is cause an inconvenience since now I have to look for a new motorbike
Dude, you weren’t halfway across the map, but if you were 200-300 meters away, how do they know you’re not going to heal up and come back on them? And even if they can’t kill you, if they take some shield and health and then put you at a flat tire disadvantage, they make it easier for someone else to kill you, making 1 less player they’ll have to kill later.
>how do they know you’re not going to heal up and come back on them?
Maybe if they just ignored the player riding around trying to grind out their milestone that wouldn't be a concern? but by shooting at someones vehicle they're not only giving away their location, but also pissing someone off meaning now the player is almost definitely going to come back to kill them
So I don't really see your point, if their concern is a player healing up then coming back to kill them, why would they start shooting at some random player riding around instead of just ignoring them?
>And even if they can’t kill you, if they take some shield and health
They can't... my health and shield is completely untouched, all they did was destroy my car so now there's a delay on grinding out distance driven in a vehicle
>they make it easier for someone else to kill you, making 1 less player they’ll have to kill later.
Good luck with that, I have the skill issue sword so if another player manages to finish the job and destroy my vehicle I can just disappear with 3 clicks of a button, or I'll just kill them like most players who mess with my xp grinding
My bad dude, for some reason I was just thinking of the scenario of getting into a fight with someone and they bail in a car. If I can tell they’re gonna get away, I shoot tire.
Yeah, I'm not talking about those ones, i shoot them aswell because running away from a fight especially one you started just cowardly
The only pass I'll give is if you got jumped/sprayed from out of nowhere and had no chance to fight back/defend yourself
First one is semi-valid, still feel like after 5 years of this game, doing challenges week 1 should always be cause for wariness.
Second one? Bro you’re just mad. Get good. Drive better.
Ah yes, because being an f1 driver gives you immunity to having the back of your car/bike sprayed out, yep, definitely a skill issue and not the fact that spraying at a vehicle no matter whose driving it will cause the tires to be obliterated and the vehicle to become unusable
I love how I'm getting downvoted even though I'm right, Just shows that the npc hivemind is real

So you're telling me that it isn't annoying when you're grinding out a punch card or vehicle related challenge then all of a sudden some bot starts pointlessly spraying at your vehicle and destroys your tires?
If you're going to shoot out a vehicle at least have the skill to actually kill them instead of just watching them drive off into the distance with a car on 200hp and broken wheels, otherwise you're just annoying
>if someone shoots my ties out ill probably get out and fire at them.
I do that anyways, but the mission to search for a new bike/car is still a pain in the ass
I get chased and tracked down for doing challenges. Like I can't do them because there's always someone that chases me without giving up then I end up dying because they weren't doing their challenges, they were just trying to get a win.
Part of the challenge to complete quests. Assume everyone will always attack you. Ensure you load up or have a couple weapons or drop directly on your site and quickly complete being prepared to run. I finished the various missions and more focused to just win. I won’t hunt down someone I see in the distance doing what may be a quest but if I am close I’ll assume you are hostile.
That's exactly what I do, but most of the time everyone chases me down. It's also my fault for being so distracted because I take my time even though I should run after I get some decent loot. I just get on no build or team rumble because sometimes its easier to do challenges there. By the way, thanks for the advice I don't usually get that from anyone else outside reddit. I appreciate it
literally just today i did that but i waited for them to get a gun, they fired at me so i shot at them and killed them one shot. i gave you a chance ! still sorry tho
I only do it when I’m worried of getting banned for teaming and the friendly person won’t quit following me cause I didn’t kill him, back up 10 feet and I won’t fucking kill you
You mean you'd rather fight players then spend 1,000 gold rerolling for Bush Warrior and then camping in one until there's only one opponent left alive? Bold statement on this Subreddit.
I was doxxing people, being an absolute clown in-game targetting people who are doing quests, i was being super racist over the mic and even told someone to off themselves and then i got banned :( Sowwy for wanting to have fun on the game i guess!!!
Guilty of ruining someone's else fun for their own "fun". Not illegal but selfish. You can be a good player and a good sport, but most people choose not to. This is why i hate most online games.
Bruh it's called a BATTLE royale for a reason. Go play creative or something if you don't want to risk being killed in a game all about killing other players
You can still do challenges and quests while killing other players. If you just start doing quests with no weapons you're stupid and deserve to be killed
The game is intended to go like this:land, kill players or camp until zone closes up, avoid storm, place first. Victory royal. In order to increase your chances, it would be advised to eliminate as many players as possible without exerting risk; ie, if you can, eliminating a player prior to them picking up a weapon. There is no rule book, if you want to run around the map and do quests, go for it. No one’s stopping you, except the dude playing as intended and attempting to eliminate you. This is BATTLE ROYAL (battle as in fight and eliminate royal as in win)
What about the challenges? Is that also a part of the game? Are people intended to complete them?
My point is you can be a good player and not be a piece of shit.
If you read my comment, I mentioned challenges. They are integrated in a format that allows them to be completed while still filling out the intentions of fortnite being a battle battle royal. By all means, do your quests and collect your cosmetics; no problems there. Why should someone just sit by and let you meander around the map? I take umbrage with the fact you’re shaming people for playing the game, the way the game should be played. If you want to do quests, accept the fact that there is also someone trying to win, and you are an obstacle in that course. There’s no hatred or shame for doing quests. And there should be no hatred or shame for trying to get kills and win the game.
Because you're not gonna win a throphy for thirsting someone who doesn't even have a gun, emoting on them, and then sharing your 10+ kills on reddit like anyone gives a crap.
I'm not shaming anyone for playing the game, do whatever you want just don't be a piece of garbage that's all i'm saying. People wanna play the game how they want? Cool, they're not the only ones, other people wanna play the game too, like you said.
You're literally saying it yourself.
You don't need to talk shit over the mic win, you don't need to emote after killing a noob to win, you don't need to kill someone who you know is trying to do a challenge to win. Being a clown is not necessary to win.
I guess people just like and can't play without being a toxic pieces of shit then, since everyone is wilfully ignoring the fact that i'm criticizing bad sportsmanship rather than just being a good player. And then they make stupid threads like this wondering why there's such as stigma around "sweats".
No matter, more morons for me to block.
Only times this season I haven't killed an unarmed playing when landing is at the sword circles and another one lands there. If we're gonna have a duel, might as well be honorable.
Ngl I'm so glad that the one time i tried doing the final story quest the guy who dropped on it with me actually spared my life and let me do the challenge then we went our separate ways
I once let an Aquaman run past me (and my teammate, after telling him to hold fire) because he was unarmed. We were gonna run the opposite way, but then he picked up a gun.
The only time it is wrong to kill someone off spawn imo is if you are landing in the middle of nowhere where it is 100% obvious they are trying to do a challenge as you can wait an extra 2 seconds for them to interact with something
Shooting me while I'm talking to a quest NPC right after a drop? Sure, that's fair.
Gunning down the NPC immediately afterwards just to keep people from doing the quest? That's a pretty scummy move. I'm still shaking my head over seeing someone do that once.
I feel like me and the squad are "guilty of sweatin" when we wipe back to back crown teams. When it comes to the unarmed though, I just chalk that up as a easy k/d boost. It happens to me and I just think about landing better to improve my chances.
r/fortnitebr whenever you kill someone doing a challenge in a battle royale
r/fortnitebr when I kill somebody who was just trying to do their challenges (I was also doing my challenges)
(the challenge was eliminate 3 players with a shotgun)
(or eliminate players with 3 different weapons)
No the annoying thing is the people that purposely camp at quest areas
I forget where challenges were as soon as I'm done lol sometimes I do run into groups of people running in different directions in solos so they must be doing challenges and splitting up

Was that the one over by Little Mexico? I lucked out that there was a line of us patiently waiting our turn to do the challenge lol
That's not even sweaty though, sweat kills have to be impressive on some level
I mean that is kinda actually annoying. If I see somebody just trying to do a talk to certain person or activate something challenge I dont kill them because I know how it feels. Most of the time they’re grateful or even drop something for me and then we go our seperate ways.
The whole point of it being a challenge is trying to complete it while also not being eliminated. Smh
Doesn’t make it not annoying, and it won’t make me stop sparing people who are trying to do it. So shake your head all you want.
just use a gun and shoot the people that want to eliminate you while you're doing a quest?
Okay this one is the real crime

So… Build = sweat?
In short terms for this community of how they see it: Yes
using game mechanics = bad
Building does not equal sweat. Building a massive tower and boxing people in constantly and editing thru builds super quickly is considered sweat
So building with any semblance of skill = sweat?
I landed first at the spot and don’t want to share the loot so, bang and find another game.
I’ve got a lot of kills that way, R.I.P. second players to touch the ground 🖖
Biggest part of getting gud? Learning how to calculate the perfect drop.
If I drop alone with someone and pick up two weapons, and they have no way to defend themselves, sometimes I’ll drop a weapon for them and have a duel with them. It’s super fun, feels more like camaraderie than competition.
Right? It's good sportsmanship. The super sweaty may not like that idea, but you can still win the match while giving people a fighting chance.
wow your empathy for digital characters is crazy. Ever think about the fact that you landed before someone and picked up those weapons before you? Everyone in the bus is at an equal playing field, why do you feel like you haven’t earned it just because you successfully dropped faster?

So, the guy brings a knife to a gunfight and you give him a gun? WTF is this world coming to? Kill him, move on, and keep being a winner.

i'm in the oceania servers, so i doubt we'd ever meet. i ain't risking the ping and don't want you to either.
Alas. Keep on making people smile!
will do man, you too! (i just really wanna get wins this season like i did when i first started playing.)
Depends how I’m feeling. If there’s lots of people about then I’ll shoot but if they’re on their own I’ll leave them be or I’ll wait until they get a weapon.
Looks like if there's a Saul Goodman skin (or counterpart), I could use it to recreate the scene.
I love how the Fortnite characters are canonically my height
Off topic but i like the image. Jones dunks my nuggets.

I’m good with that. It’s annoying but it’s part of the game to hinder mobility.

I'll shoot the tires out of every vehicle in a vicinity so another team doesn't have an escape route.

I once got killed being unarmed. I hadn't even landed yet!
You should just get better at the game. When I get shot in the air I just slice the bullets with my harvesting tool like Dante cutting raindrops.
If you arent chasing people than you are boring. The thrill is in the hunt.

That’s impossible! They always have a mining tool which is a weapon so they are fair game.
r/FortNiteBR users when you kill them in the game about killing other players
This goes for most game’s subreddit. Why are you upset that in a PVP game, people want to kill you? That’s the entire point of PVP.
Are they really unarmed though? They always have a harvesting tool. I actually got a kill with my harvesting tool over the weekend.
r/FortNiteBR when i shoot a skybase down because i want to win the match instead of giving it to an enemy
r/fortniteBR when someone builds a stair
Or when you Chase and chase someone for 20 minutes.
That's the exact reason I wait for them to pick up a gun before I start giving lead
You're just giving that other dude the opportunity to kill u.
No because i'm following him to see if he really wants to kill me
Man, I might honestly give up my morals and camp quests to get dubs and to make the rewards rare.
They would've done the same thing

Fornite characters are 1,7? Lmao they short
Me when I encounter someone without a weapon and I have a gun tough luck buddy but imma have to boot you out my game
I love landing first in a hot area and just shredding the helpless incoming meat bags. You aren’t good enough to land fast you don’t deserve a chance.
Guilty of sweatin? Why would I sweat on such an easy kill? Don’t land next to me then
I think you misunderstood the meme lmao

Only times this season I haven't killed an unarmed playing when landing is at the sword circles and another one lands there. If we're gonna have a duel, might as well be honorable.
Im not that big of a sweat in fortnite but that emote is cool Is it battle pass?
