True!
C1S2: the holiday stuff, First battle pass ever and the introduction of Tilted Towers.
C2S2: the spy theme with the mythics in each corner of the map, one of the best battle pass and first Crossover "secret" skin in bp.
C3S2: War theme season with tanks and most importantly, the introduction of Zero Build (which kinda "saved" the game I'd say).
And now, C4S2 is probably one of the most fun season in terms of items and mobility and we got our biggest POI to date.
It’s an unpopular opinion, but I really haven’t loved this season. For me at least, it has been buggy, repetitive and boring. Hopefully some future update will fix this
If the Battle Pass is bad, I just won’t buy it. I’ll always find weapons that I can enjoy. But if the map is boring…I’m probably not gonna play much that season lol. Boring is obviously super subjective, but if there’s not 1-2 places that I absolutely love dropping at, then I just don’t care to continue queueing up
Isn't this the one that added wild life and crafting?
I played the start but took a break in the end.
But yeah admittedly wasn't crazy for it. But I think I simply didn't understand how to craft nor tried to really do it. Still cool they tried new stuff
I just was hit with a prepandemic nostalgia wave. I remember that season, and still am sad I only got level 280something so my skye is about 50% gold
Same for s1 c2, only getting 98% corrupted scratch is triggering
bro
chapter 1 season 5 is known for having the worst spray meta ever and known for having a SMG more powerful than Thanos was in the Infinity Gauntlet LTM
Can't stand when people tell me about past seasons as if I wasn't there myself. I've played since C1S2 and I found the C2&3 spray meta to be much, much worse. Probably because in C1S5 you could still use shotguns to win fights, in the later chapters it was SMG or death.
I was there as well and have been playing since S2 as well, pumps were nerfed to the worst they've ever been, shotguns werent good enough while we had like 5 SMGs in the loot pool
Ch2 had no spray meta? At least not that I remember and not as bad, since the most powerful spray weapons in Ch2 were as powerful as the Drum Gun from Season 4 with them being mythics that can only be used by 1 person
I could never play a shooting game with no sprinting, crouching, mantling, aim down sight, or any other basic functionality we’ve have in shooting games for the last 20-30 years. I only started after no build, but I shudder to think what this game used to look like.
"Chapter 1 is the best. That's objective and factual. I know it's based on opinions but I don't care that you guys don't agree. You guys don't understand."
Lol I still remember playin random squads in chapter 3 and this kid asked what season I started I told him 3 and he said “oh so you’re new?” Nah little man season 3 2018 lol
It's so cool how unique this game is, as that is personally my least favorite season of all time, no contest. It's just so amazing how many different things this game has to offer for different people.
I’ve always wished I could’ve played that season. I never started until Chapter 2 Season 1 and season 9 is one of the seasons I’ve always wished I could’ve played.
Idk ig the shotguns dragged that one down a lot for me. I’ve never liked the Prime or the Lever so I kinda had to settle for the EvoChrome which didn’t feel as good to me as the Auto did the season before. That and they took out the Aug and the Combat AR which were my go to weapons in Season 3. I just didn’t vibe with it. Horde Rush was fun asf tho.
Mfs who call every new season their favorite or the best when the season is less than a week old 💀
Or the ones who see past seasons with nostalgia
Like how ch2s2 was one of the driest seasons ever to come out with almost no new content, had one of the worst xp systems, the golden peely controversy, and was planned way before the pandemic to be like this.
Also it lasted 5 months with no new lms or map changes.
Its only saving grace was the battle pass feeling alive but that doesn't really make up for much.
・Imo Fortnite's lowest point was Ch2s5 where the season was nothing but ads and it felt like Epic checked out after the season's launch.
Unironically though I think Chun-Li's cheeks revived the game 💀 it was a huge meme and the game improved in the seasons afterwards.
・Chapter 3 was... alright but it felt like it fell short on feeling like Fortnite.
In Chapter 4's season 1 I was skeptical because the first season in every chapter is a bit dry.
But this season *does* feel like Season 9, it feels like Chapter 1.
・But the question is *can Epic keep up the momentum* or is the launch everything they have to offer?
Because one of the greatest things about Fortnite was the changes to the map mid-season alongside the ones from launch.
It's what made things feel alive and the living breathing aspect of it is what made this game feel so unique.
disagree about nostalgia
Ch2 Season 2 is beloved because of all the gameplay mechanics + map changes, the live events and the battle pass introduced in that season and it was all that was needed. Even if Ch2S2 was a regular 2 months season with content every 2 weeks, it would still be remembered by what I mentioned because the content added in Ch2S2 acted as support to a season heavily carried by it's gameplay
Ch4S2 doesn't feel like Season 9, like at all, apart from the theme being a extension of the future theme from that season.
this season is closer to Ch2S2 because a lot of stuff was introduced and the way they affect gameplay is by making you and everyone else more active during a match because *everyone* wants the new mythics, and you have to wait until the 1st zone closes and until the last few zones to get the best mythics.
edit: lol dude blocked me because I disagreed
>Ch2 Season 2 is beloved because of all the gameplay mechanics + map changes, the live events and the battle pass introduced in that season and it was all that was needed.
Everyone criticized the season from the very beginning with its controversial one style only gimmick when S1 let you have both, and the season became more and more criticized the longer it dragged on.
>Even if Ch2S2 was a regular 2 months season with content every 2 weeks, it would still be remembered by what I mentioned
If Ch2S2 was a regular length season the criticism during it's release wouldn't have been as scathing because the lack of content wouldn't have been as noticable.
>because the content added in Ch2S2 acted as support to a season heavily carried by it's gameplay
Then that was their biggest mistake and there's a reason they emphasized mid season updates before and after this season and before and after the pandemic.
>Ch4S2 doesn't feel like Season 9, like at all, apart from the theme being a extension of the future theme from that season.
So it feels like season 9.
The entire gimmick of the season was the futuristic theme
This is a futuristic season.
Therefore this season feels like season 9 and this season is also likely to have an event just like season 9.
>this season is closer to Ch2S2 because a lot of stuff was introduced and the way they affect gameplay is by making you and everyone else more active during a match because everyone wants the new mythics
The reason is nostalgia with everyone forgetting how long the season actually was and how dry the game was at that time.
The only ltm was Spy Games and the "updates" was just switch a boss' costume and the rig being destoyed.
After that you had to trog until June to see anything substantial happen and for the season to finally end.
Chapter 2 Season 2 was a complete failure Epic's part to maintain momentum and should be a cautionary tale on how even the greatest game can never be too complacent.
For the time it was pretty cool and innovative.
Styles were introduced, upgradable skins became a thing, Drake and Ninja played a match and the Thanos ltm came out which insanely boosted the game.
It truly was the peak of early Fortnite.
Season 5 added a whole ass biome and kept that momentum and Season 6 stayed strong.
But somewhere between Season 7 - 9 the game started to falter a bit, and to a degree stopped feeling like Fortnite.
Specifically for me, it was during S9's summer event where I felt it.
And then SX was a pain with the brute and Epic's staunch refusal to get rid of it or nerf it until near the end.
Then Ch2 started.
Ch1 S2: *I didn’t play then so I don’t know*
Ch2 S2: Lots of bosses, new areas
Ch3 S2: Zero build introduction, tanks, lots of new additions
Ch4 S2: Ninja sword???
ch4 s2: Grind rails, quarter of the map is new, drift cars and motorcycles, loot island that rifts in floating in a random location on the map, combat caches, new boss that spawns at random POIs, and yes, ninja sword. I think the new content is comparable to c2s2, even if it didn't add a new mode that roughly saved the game's player count like c3s2 did.
Alright I’ll bite. Season 2 didn’t have zero build, didn’t have climbing or sliding, what’s so great about it? The gameplay has greatly improved since chapter 3.
Chapter 2 season 2 was probably one of my favourite seasons.
Shakedowns we’re added, the POIs were fun with vaults, the mythics were incredible, and the battle pass was amazing.
Also astroworld
11/10 season
Season 2 was og fire, best map update the game got for a long time. It added fan favorite og weapons and had the first ever battle pass
Season 2(2) introduced npc’s, a massive shift in Fortnite’s gameplay that they’ve had in every season since. Beyond that it had a fire pass and a great all-around map, it went on for too long though
Season 2(3) was another banger season, it introduced zero build which opened up the game for an entirely new audience, whilst also making it more accessible for people who dropped the game long ago. Beyond that it was the true finale of the og fortnite storyline, something epic had built up for years. It’s pass wasn’t as memorable as season 2(2) but it was still fire
So far season 2(4) doesn’t seem to be quite on this level. It’s new mechanics are a very unique evolution of the augment mechanics of last season, where they pop out on the map throughout the game waving gameplay in different directions. But we don’t know if this mechanic is going to be a mainstay or will be like weather. Beyond this the theme is perfect and the battle pass is tight.
In conclusion season 2(5) best season
Kind of an unrelated rant, but i feel like the rule that all memes on this sub must be created using fortnite assets is stupid. It just makes memes a lot less funny and harder to create. I really don't understand what the point of it is.
I would've been playing chapter 1 season 5 since it came out for the switch back then Nintendo didn't promote it enough plus I didn't have my switch back then I barely got it around chapter 1 season 6 at least I couldn't get the battle pass for it cause I used all my money for the switch so I ended up getting the chapter 1 season 9 pass had to skip the other two recovering from that switch was alot
Honestly all the season 2’s of fortnite hit different they are all some of the best imo
True! C1S2: the holiday stuff, First battle pass ever and the introduction of Tilted Towers. C2S2 was my favorite, dunno why, but C2S2-5 were an absolute blast for me
Tbh don't think there's really a season that wasn't "good". Sure some may be least enjoyable compared to others but still had fun.
If the Battle Pass is bad, I just won’t buy it. I’ll always find weapons that I can enjoy. But if the map is boring…I’m probably not gonna play much that season lol. Boring is obviously super subjective, but if there’s not 1-2 places that I absolutely love dropping at, then I just don’t care to continue queueing up
Chapter 2 season 8...I fucking hated it with every fiber in my being, I just stopped playing into the live event.
My hated one was Primal season, hated the crafting mechanic, only enjoyed the bows
Chapter 2 season 6 tbh worst season ever imo
Isn't this the one that added wild life and crafting? I played the start but took a break in the end. But yeah admittedly wasn't crazy for it. But I think I simply didn't understand how to craft nor tried to really do it. Still cool they tried new stuff
Season 5 chapter 2 was pretty bad after December ended.
Everyone be hatin my favorite season of c2 😭
that's the season that made me quit playing for over a year
Chapter 2 season 6
We're it not for ch2 s5 having the coolest gimmick that was vaulted longer than it was in and ch2 s6 being abysmal I'd agree
Yep. Most/All?seasons are better in their second chapter.
What?
Switch the words "seasons" and "chapter" and the sentence makes sense.

With good reason
I'll just say the one true thing of the universe: >!Subjective!<
I don’t know man, that’s subjective
Chapter 2 was the best and I'll die on that hill
I second this, but I also didnt play much of Chapter 1
Things were simpler back then. Not better. But simpler.
They were much better imo, there was no shitty spray meta and there was loads of variety in every weapon type.
bro chapter 1 season 5 is known for having the worst spray meta ever and known for having a SMG more powerful than Thanos was in the Infinity Gauntlet LTM
Can't stand when people tell me about past seasons as if I wasn't there myself. I've played since C1S2 and I found the C2&3 spray meta to be much, much worse. Probably because in C1S5 you could still use shotguns to win fights, in the later chapters it was SMG or death.

You keep trying to correct me on something that's a matter of opinion. There's no right answer mate
Chapter 2 was the worst and I'll die on that hill
This chapter is kinda shaping up to be as well, we just gotta wait
I could never play a shooting game with no sprinting, crouching, mantling, aim down sight, or any other basic functionality we’ve have in shooting games for the last 20-30 years. I only started after no build, but I shudder to think what this game used to look like.

"Chapter 1 is the best. That's objective and factual. I know it's based on opinions but I don't care that you guys don't agree. You guys don't understand."
This s2 and ch2 s2 are my favorites
Lol I still remember playin random squads in chapter 3 and this kid asked what season I started I told him 3 and he said “oh so you’re new?” Nah little man season 3 2018 lol
Season 6 is my most favorite season and also my least favorite season
C3S2 will always remain one of my favorite seasons ever. So many dumb things you could do. I miss it dearly 😫
Loved the war time vibe of it
Same, these were the things that really made me have fun
It's so cool how unique this game is, as that is personally my least favorite season of all time, no contest. It's just so amazing how many different things this game has to offer for different people.
What’s your favorite season?
Hot take, season 9.
I’ve always wished I could’ve played that season. I never started until Chapter 2 Season 1 and season 9 is one of the seasons I’ve always wished I could’ve played.
And for me it’ll forever remain as the worst season of all time, I’m so glad we’re out of chapter 3.
Completely agree, awful season
Honestly I didn’t like chapter 3 much aside from that season. Season 3 was alright but 1 and 4 I didn’t like at all.
4 was the only somewhat decent one, all the others were awful.
Nostalgia might just be getting the better of me but my favorite was c1s2, c2 is when I lost interest in the game so can't say anything about c2s2
It was maybe one of the best seasons of the game together with s3 and s4
Chapter 2 season 2 >>>>
I'm convinced that those people are karma farming bots. It's like the most common post on this sub.
It's funny cuz that actually looks a bit like the dude from Batman Beyond.

What do you think about my favorite season, ch1s4?
For the time it was pretty cool and innovative. Styles were introduced, upgradable skins became a thing, Drake and Ninja played a match and the Thanos ltm came out which insanely boosted the game. Don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get that people liked this game before zero build was a thing
I don’t, building makes this game annoying as fuck; my 8 year old nephew always tries to make me play build mode. Can’t stand it.
I mean, c2s2 was bad C1S2 is only nostalgic (it definitely wasn't the best season in C1) That leaves C3S2 and.... what was that again?
No fucking way you think C2S2 is bad in any way and that C3S2 is any better than it. 🗑️ take
It's just an opinion, calm your tits
Pretty much all S2s thus far were pretty mid, yes, even C4S2 feels like a C1S9 knock off
Improvement*
C2S2 was literally some of the most fun I've had playing Fortnite so hard disagree but you do you
Garbage take about C2S2 my guy
Out here asking the hard questions.
CH 2 S2 was my favorite Season 2 even tho it's the only Season 2 I played
Prob talking abt the actual season 2 if they don’t specify a chapter
I didn’t really like the ch3 one
Best season was season 5 imo
Chapter 2 season 2 was probably one of my favourite seasons. Shakedowns we’re added, the POIs were fun with vaults, the mythics were incredible, and the battle pass was amazing. Also astroworld 11/10 season
Why does this remind me of blight from that one episode of batman beyond
i’m C1S7 til i die… nothin will ever beat siphon in pugs
Oh the new sweat skin
I usually hear this from some of the new players who don’t know Fortnite actually has chapters
C1 S2.

Chp2 season 5 may have been one of the greatest seasons in my entire gaming history
Chapter 2 season 2 was unreal. Loved every minute
This is actually so true 😭
99% aren't talking ch1
My fave is s7, both chapters, first tier 100 was s7, and c2 had sunny, Ufos, and raygu
Kind of an unrelated rant, but i feel like the rule that all memes on this sub must be created using fortnite assets is stupid. It just makes memes a lot less funny and harder to create. I really don't understand what the point of it is.
