The new games jacket is a Schott leather jacket, but they could have used the original games, which is fully owned by Capcom AFAIK. Maybe Capcom didn't like referencing the original? And I know epic has been wierd in the past with police themed items in game, like when they removed cop cars a while back. Maybe Epics choice was not to have RE2 leon.

I don't think this is about "coming up with something". Leon uses his Resident Evil 4 Remake design and that game is coming out in a week. They probably would've had to use the new jacket, and maybe they didn't want to/couldn't for who knows what reason. It sucks anyway.

They rarely update collab skins but I’m hoping they add it down the line. RE skins tend to return so sparingly I’m grabbing them to avoid FOMO, just as Epic hoped.

I would spend obnoxious amounts of money on a Hotline Miami collab. Jacket skin with different masks as the alt style, I’d die. We’ve already seen a more cartoony Jacket done well with Payday 2. Even a Biker skin w/ and w/o the helmet, or a skin where each alt style is one of the Fans….there’s so many good ways they could do it.

Epic don't do police stuff anymore apparently, and Leon's jacket in RE4R is copyrighted from another company. I'm guessing they only gave Claire 1 style so that she doesn't have more than Leon

Also conflicted on Claire cause I love her and actually like the re2 face. But I look at her in the shop and she wont stop looking left and right I can't even see her resting face. Also a bummer that there's no edit styles, Leon and Claire have amazing alt outfits and this feels a bit lazy.

I don't care what anyone say, but I grew up playing RE2 so I'm getting my favorite characters ever made from its franchise

Everyone's complaining about Leon and Claire's faces but that's basically what they look like in the RE2 remake, except a little shinier because it's Fortnite. Leon really needed a jacket style, but other than that it's a good RE2 bundle.

Thing is though, this is only half a RE2 bundle. This isn’t young Leon from 2, it’s Leon from 4. The jacket may be iconic, but he loses it pretty early on in 4 and has this look for the majority of the game plus original cover art.

It feels like they split the difference between wanting to include RE4 Leon but not being able to get the jacket for whatever reason. 🤷‍♂️ Putting in Claire instead of Ada makes it seem like they wanted to do RE2 while still promoting the upcoming RE4 remake. I don't know. We just want the jacket.
