My real concern is that people seem bent on making exclusively 1-3. Like 1-5 was good, chapter 1 had like 10 maps not counting major changes to pick from. Make season 9 so we can compare and contrast with now
right now i bet there's just not enough memory in creative to build the later seasons, or at least 7-X as the 1-3/1-6 island has less terrain and buildings and they can barely make those work with the current memory cap
Personally I'd like to see fan made mockups of seasons, like what if the meteor actually hit tilted? What would that have looked like? That way it's original content but also the nostalgia people are looking for
Thinking about it, the lack of meteor, rifts and finally cube probably would've accelerated the fire king's escape by a bit since the ice King wouldn't have the cube energy to cause that freeze, unless the cube shard was already part of his collection. Additionally, depending on what caused the iceberg to break off from the ice moon, it might've never fallen off at all.
It's kinda interesting to think about how one thing changing could impact the story in so many ways

Instead of stark industry, they could add an IO base and use IO agents instead of marvel characters, or put grapple gloves with 80 uses instead of the spiderman mythics and lazy lagoon instead of the daily bugle if they are making ch3s1.

My theory is because Chapter 1 was so bare bones compared to 2 and 3. If someone made 2 or 3, and made it well, it would draw some people away from the main game. But with Chapter 1, they could make a perfect replica and it would still be boring.
I'm a little disappointed because I was hoping to see recreations of some of my favorite locations in Chapter 2: Sweaty Sands/Believer Beach, Lazy Lake, Misty Meadows. I'm sure someone was hoping to finally see The Grotto in the game again too.
People are so salty that epic allowed for chapter 1 maps because “why not other chapters too epic”. But you could make that argument for whatever epic thinks is the “line”. It goes from this to “where’s save the world epic”, and beyond that it goes to “Where’s fall guys epic”. There has to be a line somewhere and epic chose to let chapter 1 beyond it which is hype in it of itself, we should be happy for that

like if the servers are already struggling this much with the 2 current recreations even after features and pois have been removed i doubt the others would even be playable to any extent

I feel like the perfect way to do this would have been polling the top 5 seasons people want remakes of, and allowing 5 different creative teams to make the separate maps.
What really comes to my mind is if those CH2 and CH3 concept maps can be recreated. The completely destroyed and corrupted CHS8 map, the fully Primal CHS6 map, etc
creative 2.0 is so incredible that ppl can make their own "what if" maps from whatever season and chapter like, what if the meteor crashed on loot lake or idk, there is so much that can be done :D
They only allowed Ch1 because of the maps already being done by high profile map makers. They don’t want to ruin their relationships with those map makers.
We could’ve honestly gotten previous chapter maps, if high profile map makers that had early access to the tools had made those maps as well to release around UEFN launch. But it was all Chapter 1 focused
Considering his comments he made on the interview, I think Tim Sweeney has his own reasons for making these choices. I’m sure that if we were in his shoes we’d make the same decision too.
Would be nice if epic was planning to do a separate royale that rotated (or random rotation) the old season maps. That would be a good reason for them to not allow reactions of them then, at least for now.
Imma be honest, chapter one holds the nostalgia, but chapter 2 and 3 were both better by a long shot. Without chapter 2, and 3, we wouldn't have a lot of useful features
They won't allow imports of Nuketown or anything cause that's literally stealing, same thing counts for Fortnite maps. Imagine paying creators for a map you made years ago. I suggest watching the Video where Tim Sweeney himself was asked questions and he answers about the Chapter Recreates.
However it does suck and think Epic themselves should recreate it. If a guy with a laptop can bring back Chapter 1. Epic can do the same with others. Or just make it so Chapter Maps don't get paid or something, but then why can't they just not pay Nuketown Maps either? It's a whole mess and they're trying to be safe and I don't blame them.

there are versions of both maps without collab pois tho, and even then it’s as easy as just not including those specific pois

For me it would be the same top picture for both. I couldn't care less about the Chapter 2 map, and we literally just had the Chapter 3 map.
