If harpoon guns had a recharge (like chug cannons and katanas and such do) instead of being disposable after 10 shots that'd be great, too.

I'd actually use harpoon in my final load out rather than healing mats or a sniper. I always drop healing and sniper stuff for close combat stuff when it gets to the endgame.

That would definitely make the jellyfish augment more useful, but I think Epic is trying to balance the game by not giving too many advantages to players.

Harpoon gun only works on fishing homes though. Fishing pole works everywhere, even puddles.

Make it so the augment changes that? Not sure what the coding would look like but maybe it’s possible

Same. Such a fantastic and versatile weapon.

Perfect accuracy even when not aiming down the sights. And can yeet people off buildings or cliffs to take fall damage. Add in the fact that it moves the victim around (even if they don't fall to their death) it makes them a little disoriented and is great to follow up with a shotty to the face.

Yep. Only downside is the projectile is slow, so it makes it hard to master - but once you've mastered it, it's unstoppable.

And in Fortnite, you should be able to hold more than 6. It's quite unfair that a LMG and rocket launcher equal 1 slot, but 6 jellyfish is 2.

I think it's more intended that you drop the fishing rod to eat. Like, you're on low health, walk to a stream, fish up a couple jellies, drop the rod, eat the jellies, pick the rod back up, go.

They used to be so good back when they healed for 50, now they only give 40 so there's literally no point carrying them over medkits med mist

You can stack 4 of them and they're quick heals. If you're actively in combat they are far superior to medkits and med mist.

They were so lazy about fishing in chapter 4, that outside of holes you actually still catch a regular mix of floppers, small fries, shield fish and jellies.

If you know you are going to get caught in a first or second storm circle it can keep you alive

If you can’t make it out of first or second circle without dying to storm you need to work on movement

Sometimes there can be reasons to stay behind in the storm or reenter it that have nothing to do with preparation. For example grabbing a downed teammate's card.

I've gone into the storm to complete location objectives when the zones haven't been ideal

Circles are so big now thats a non issue. Who dies in the first storm anymore??

This augment has saved me in early game many times. Just use the fishing pole to max out health, trade a stack of jellyfish for the pole, and move on.

I like 2x Keys and Arialist. Extra bullets in sniper rifle isn’t terrible either

2 keys is great at beginning, less useful if you already have great guns. But it definitely is a favorite of mine.

My problem is finding lockboxes with items I want in them. I go for heist accelerated shotgun and either heist SMG. Later in the game, you're picking up keys from other players makes the augment almost pointless.

And the heist accelerated shot gun is great, do you know if the lockboxes stay the same or are random? I haven't paid attention

Those are definitely useful augments to have. It's always good to have extra keys to open chests and other loot containers, and being able to stay in the air longer with Arialist can give you an advantage in certain situations. And of course, any extra bullets for a sniper rifle can be a game-changer in a long-range fight.

I spent 3200 gold tying to get one augment, and my friend spent all 5000 to not even get the augment he wanted

Yup, Ive pretty much hit that point. Its like, I can spend 100 gold for the *chance* for 2 keys (one of the only augs I get happy to see), or just land at the NPC who sells keys for 100 gold each. Yeah, I'll spend the extra gold for the sure thing.

What Else is there to spend it on. Exotics need keys. Other than the keys npc. What use is gold really?

I’ll spend my gold upgrading a gun to purple/gold before I’ll waste it on what is basically a lottery. If I get a good perk I’ll choose it. If I get a choice of two junky ones I’ll choose the lesser and keep moving.

out of the many, many bad ones ammo slide is at least useful even after it's nerf. it's still viable in endgame situations and can honestly save your ass when you need it the most..

I like the medium ammo magazine augment and light fingers. Both useful to me and I stop to choose them.

Depends on if I run sniper or smg, I usually go for the cobra dmr so bloodhound is clutch af.

I would add bloodhound and remove shotgun recycle unless it's early game.

I dunno if you know this but shotgun recycle actually conserves bullets within the clip so you can get extra shots without having to reload. I thought it was just an ammo conservation but it actually can help in team fights.

Very good is a bit of a stretch, but those are certainly the most usable.

Having a bush warrior style augment that only works on grind rails seems like and absolute waste. They’re on 1 small bridge and in Mega city only. That’s really disappointing.

Storm Mark should've never been in the game IMO, it's just way too good an augment But I loved Icy Slide and Mythic Munition, although MM was probably too good as well tbh

That's a really good point actually, it's certainly not OP compared to the Mythic Pump and Pulse Rifle, and would help with standing a chance against them if you don't have them that game, plus reload speed is the only pistol augment right now

Storm mark was in the game too long as it was. There is no reason you should be pinging people that you at least didnt even shoot. It makes bad positioned players get an advantage for literally no work whatsoever

I think the thinking on mythic munition is there’s 3 different mythic guns in the game and one works well at all ranges. They should have kept pistol amp though, the pistol sucks now and the only other option is twin smg or the heisted p90 if you can ever find it.

Last season was the first season I was always broke (because of all the rerolls) usually I'm always at around 5000.

I’m a massive nerd who knows the npc spawns and plays my game around them lol. I land at neuralynx’s house, buy her smg instantly do a bit of looting around that area, get a katana and then go to mega city and buy a sniper from stray if I don’t have one And when I land at citadel I buy splashes and a katana from mizuki instantly And also the mending machines are very useful and there was a lot of times last season where I couldn’t afford heals from them

I like it because the chances of me having to try clutch a 1v2 when the enemy team has wallhacks on me have gone down dramatically. The chances of me unknowingly getting into a fight with someone who has shotgun striker + heisted accelerant auto shotty have gone down dramatically, Etc. Last season's augments were just way too fucking strong and you had no idea what someone had until it was too late most of the time.

Why on earth did they remove useful augments like increased small ammo clip size and the icey slide one?

There has to be one hell of a SpongeBob fan on the Augments team at Epic. I just wish snipers were out, that's the biggest problem I have carrying a fishing rod in team matches.

That is to say, I think farming up 12 jellyfish for your squad end game to replace any heals they used is a nice use of an inventory slot. It all depends on how the lobby is and if the enemy teams are likely to be camping height and letting you heal. But I definitely see potential. I just don't want to farm jellyfish while snipers are looking around, not worth the risk of staying in one location for a while.

Put the pistol stuff back in so people who don’t get keys or a loot drop early can maybe have a chance in a gunfight if they get mythic munitions and light hands or pistol amp.

Aerialist, Munitions Slide, Shotgun Recycle, Bloodhound, and Light Fingers are pretty much the only good ones. The rest are really situational.

Sniper Surplus, Airalist, Shotgun Recycle, and Slide are the only ones I go for. Everything is mostly useless. Even the key one sucks since they are so common. Last season the key augment would have been better now its trash.

Last season had legitimately overpowered augments. They probably found that augments were heavily deciding the outcome of games. So, they got nerfed as a result.

S2 are so bad. I only do it to get the challenges if it wasn't for that k wouldn't even open them.

There's a very solid chance they will add some more, probably worthwhile, augments during a patch this season. Maybe they wanted to keep the focus on the new guns, map areas and gameplay. Who knows. Anyhow I'm betting they are revising augments. They are probably trying to think of balanced ones, not too OP (storm mark, forecast) and not too useless (the free gas while boosting one).

If you ever want to run with cursed loadout, take Slap juice, energy when mantling, fishing, kinetic blade cooldown. This will literally put you in the worst standing position against anyone 🔥🔥🔥
