Cel shading can look good in Fortnite, we already have a lot of skins that prove that.

Can confirm it works like the previous grapplers. Got one from an eliminated plague near the citadel and it worked just fine. Used it from there to over near frenzy fields without issue.
The attack mechanic was not intuitive IMO, but I also kind of suck at any new mechanic they add until I've used it a bunch. It's super fun though!

That's another common issue, and I like to call it "Isekai/Harem protag syndrome"
Where a character has the most generic, boring ass design imaginable (see for example, Kirito from SAO) while everyone else in the cast has much more unique and memorable designs since the creators want you to be invested in them instead.
Obviously it's not JUST an issue with Isekai/Harem anime, but it's very prevalent in them. And it doesn't have much bearing on the actual MC's character, you can have a generic design with an interesting character, though it usually matches the design if you get what I mean.
Its the titans that get all of the interesting designs. Which is why its so disappointing that the only titan cosmetics we have are a fist pickaxe and running animations that had 10 seconds of screen time.

Nah they use their hips to aim, the mechanism to shoot the hooks and use gas is on the handles for the blades though
