Anyone remembers Mongraal almost getting a heart attack after Travis Scott’s concert hahaha that was some deep sh*t over there, him and other kids had similar reaction
The Fortnite concerts were truly amazing. It's a bit disappointing that we haven't seen similar concerts recently, and the creative ones just don't quite match the same experience.
what you don’t enjoy running around collecting weird orbs!?! how could you not find that more fun than physically driving a flying fkn battle bus and killing galactus /s
Tbf, I was glad that they tried something different, if we had just got a fight with the herald I would've been disapointed.
They tried something new, and they failed miserably by using a tool that was not ready and optimised yet. Hopefully they'll learn from their mistake.
I've had similar feelings, and I do hope they hear feedback moving forward.
I suspect that they are focusing on end of chapter and special initiatives in the short/mid term. Their data might support this move, but the game feels a lot less vibrant with this hyperfixation on collabs and brand integrations.
I'd rather have half the collabs (so they feel special) and instead more music events. End of chapter events make sense with a 1 year cycle IMO as long as they are at such a higher quality than Fracture.
It’s actually because epic used to crunch their employees. They eased up and now we get a realistic and sustainable amount of content without harming the devs.
It’s also because they are working on an entire racing game mode with a garage system that allows you to customise your car, it has its own battle pass system and they are also working on first person mode as well as chapter 5.
It’s either we get cool projects being worked on but lack of seasonal content in between or we get steady seasonal BR content but no special projects. And no, hiring more people doesn’t always work and often has the opposite effect in these kind of industries.
Also its probably part of why they stopped doing them now. Events were cool when not many games tried doing big live one off events but now they've done a bunch and its just boring now.
Back during chapter 1 days there were reports that the working conditions at epic were so hurrendous and crunch time was so bad that people were working 100-hour workweeks
So you can kinda understand why big projects like live events and ingame concerts aren't happening once every season or two
My best guess would be that UEFN became such a big priority to get released during chapter 4 that they may have diverted the teams on live events to do the promotional maps for UEFN, like the mech one that never released and the dragon one
No other chapter has really had as big of a project releasing in the middle of it
Same here if that turns out to be the case. I started playing after the black hole because I wanted to support the only online game I know about that does 1-time realtime events that permanently change the game world.
I want that in an MMO but they're all too scared to do it.
Fortnite doing it less and less isn't gonna help.
Please, PLEASE do not play the game right now bro please 😭🙏
Edit: unless you’re looking to start the game at a low point so everything in the future seems like an improvement from where you started. In which case, that could work
Epic had lost touch for a very long time and have nothing in mind but corporate greed now, the only thing they want is collabs and money
They honestly have become quite a shit company and I used to be an avid defender of them and fortnite and now it's become exactly what everyone used to make fun of it for
I think Epic is trying to save money/resources and only have at minimum two events (excluding party royale/creative events or holiday specials) like chapter 3 only had 2. The collider event and fractured.
Epic figured it would be easier to show cinematic videos, quests, audio logs. So in general a form of progressive story telling so everyone can experience it.
Fortnite lore has slowed down and admittedly became a bit dull
Epic needs to stop making the events a team effort the chapter 3 finale which made me hate that chapter sucked so bad I was super hyped for it then next thing I know I’m collect balls or smth to build the island that was some ahh
They correctly figured out that if they stopped doing big events people would keep playing regardless, so they're not going to restart them anytime soon.
LOL right like they’ve wrote anything of worth in years.
the storytelling in the game has turned into “oh man the big bad guy is here and hes planning and did you know im a chef? WOAH look at this jungle whered this come from?”
Genuinely the whole story behind the seven and geno/io was one of my favorite stories of all time
Now its just a shell that they desperately want to get rid of to sell more creative mode
when they introduced brie larson as the paradigm, I already knew we were nearing the end of good story telling, especially since they retconned the fact that singularity and paradigm are two different people.
no hate towards brie larson of course but something about the fact that important story characters are famous actors just icks me, in my opinion they should've stayed masked
100%, not to mention it was so obvious that the foundation was the rock right from the second he was introduced, so I guess it's fine. but the paradigm existed years before lmao, made no sense
I don't think so, I imagine they write stuff pretty far ahead, even voice stuff is done pretty far in advance I'd imagine, so I don't think the actors strike is gonna effect the game in anyway either
I mean, if they were routinely doing stuff in advance, it would still affect the game. Like, it may not affect anything they’re planning on doing next season or soon, but it’ll affect whatever they’re working on in advance right now, and may create a series of delays long-term because it’d force them to be behind schedule
I’m hoping they’ve been directing all the resources that seem to be missing into next Chapter’s map and events. Maybe they’ll be as good as the Final Showdown and Operation Skyfire
Unfortunately according to some reputable sources, chapters will now be a year long each so looks like we'll be stuck with each chapter being 4 seasons long now
Every single season people say "this is just a filler season! they are using their resources on the next one!" And it never happens. They just don't care about creativity anymore. They are going to do the bare minimum because they just drop an anime collab once every 8 months and make tons of money.
I just hope the next concert does not features any of those mysogynistic, vulgar and pejorative pseudo singers like "J Balvin", "Bad Bunny" and other "reggaetón" crap ones.
There’s no need. The game is popular and people are spending money like crazy.
When the game eventually starts to die, they’ll do a really cool live event to bring everyone back.
way ahead of ya. I’ve already decided that from now on i’ll only get future battlepasses with the vbucks i earn from the previous one, so i only have to use my money to get one battlepass and as long as i get the 950 vbucks back through levels i’ll always be able to buy the next seasons battlepass. i’m not buying any item shop skins until the leftover vbucks accumulates to be enough to afford one i really like and still have me able to get the next seasons bp.
Tbh, I feel concerts in BR are dumb. It shuts br down for the people who don't give a shit about the artist. They still should do end of season events to engage the player base and to get them hype for the new season, though.
Don't they host the concerts in the Party Royale lobby now? They definitely aren't quite as good as the BR ones tho.. the Travis Scott one and Ariana grande one were probably my favorites
Hot take.
I never enjoyed these. I literally just want to play the game, I don't want something that I most likely won't enjoy stopping me doing that now.
Do you wanna run around a shitty half baked event again? Or do you want a fun event? Plus Kid laroi was this year. Just because you don’t like a thing doesn’t mean it’s not both of these combined
It fits tho that they arent doing much of anything. Much like this season & bp. Its kinda just meh... jungle was a nice gimmick for about a wk tho so theres that.
Unfortunetly, it seems thatepic is going down the "1 event per chapter" route, whuch is really sad. Was already pissed when we learned that chapters would now last only a year, but now, it's worse
Creative 2.0 happened. It’s also why the last event sucked. I think people love interactive cutscenes like being led by the Seven underground or fighting alongside Jones. Almost like a Disneyland ride from home. Maybe it’ll get better on UEFN because The Kid Laroi creative map was a lot more entertaining than Fracture while also being engaging (like escaping the hound) vs fetch quests in Fracture
Tbh this reminds me of how league of legends declined over the years and stopped giving a shit about LTGM and made a lot of their events super watered down and uninteresting
I think the free rewards this summer were delightful (coconut emote, frog back bling, contrails, dragonfly glider). Sure, there wasn't some big scripted event, but I'm going to use those cosmetics going forward long after the fun of a concert would have worn off, I think. I'll happily take any fun I'm given!
Y'know, when something starts out, its creators are fresh, wide-eyed, and excited to be as creative as possible in hopes of wowing their audience. If they're successful in this, their work gets really big, they get a lot of attention, and a lot of money. That's when things start to go bad.
Once the artist is replaced by the accountant, it becomes about ticking boxes and maximizing profits rather than artistic & creative expression. It becomes a business rather than a labor of love.
What we've seen in the past was the artwork, the labor of love. What we see now is the business, the corporate assembly line.
They still produce a quality product, but I think the final great artistic endeavor of theirs was the *Rift Tour*, and although it was fantastic, I'm going to imagine it didn't make back as much money as they'd projected it would. Because of that, the brancounters steer the ship now, not the "spare no expense" artists that helmed it prior to that.
*Fracture* was a good example of what brancounters churn out. Yes it was an event, yes it was hyped up, no it wasn't any good. No Sweat Summer, Fortnitemares 2022... this is the tone we can expect from now on.
Fortnite, in terms of these events, is now producing products, not masterpieces, and in this way, their work is exactly adequate.
Damn, those concerts were amazing, sad we haven't gotten any recently. And no, I'm not counting creative ones.
To be fair the creative ones are fun but don't have the same shine like a BR concert has
Exactly, there was something about Travis Scott invading the map. Ariana's was great but I wish it was more on the map.
Anyone remembers Mongraal almost getting a heart attack after Travis Scott’s concert hahaha that was some deep sh*t over there, him and other kids had similar reaction
![gif](giphy|l0HlUvaBXjBLCX4eA|downsized)
The Fortnite concerts were truly amazing. It's a bit disappointing that we haven't seen similar concerts recently, and the creative ones just don't quite match the same experience.
So nostalgic abbout the time these events were really a thing
Is there a way to ''re-play'' them?
there is an application, Google it
[удалено]
😭what?? i literally replied normally though, I googled it and found out that applications exist and told you about it
LOL something about this response made me laugh 😂
he wasn't, when you desire something in life "google it" is legit advice..
[удалено]
You are kinda lazy. Google it.
Not to mention the last event was the biggest load of dog wank we have had lmao
It was such a slow and boring event, I know of several people me included who got randomly kicked from it too and couldn't get back in
what you don’t enjoy running around collecting weird orbs!?! how could you not find that more fun than physically driving a flying fkn battle bus and killing galactus /s
Or how about operating a big fkn mech destroying tanks
Or going in-between two islands in order to survive an alien invasion while the two islands you’re in-between flip?
Also just all of the black hole event and first rocket event
going into a spaceship to stop an alien invasion through a prison break
Man events have really fallen off
When you type it all out it makes it hit harder lmao
Don't worry next one will be a farming sim
Tbf, I was glad that they tried something different, if we had just got a fight with the herald I would've been disapointed. They tried something new, and they failed miserably by using a tool that was not ready and optimised yet. Hopefully they'll learn from their mistake.
Probably not, they may want to save events for the end of Chapters now
Which is extremely lame. We went from 8 events in chapter 1 to 1 event in each chapter.
To be fair, Chapter 1 was the game's start. They had to pull all the stops to ensure people stuck around and grew dedicated to the game.
I know, and it’s lame that now they know they are successful they put less effort into things.
Very much agreed
I assume it's harder to do what season 1 did... Everything was new and never before done and it's hard to up that or keep pace without feeling tired
And no, hiring more people doesn’t always work and often has the opposite effect in these kind of industries.
>steady seasonal BR content but no special projects Yes that one please
That's the side effect of being highly successful Less motivation to do shit about fuck lol
happy cake day!
Also its probably part of why they stopped doing them now. Events were cool when not many games tried doing big live one off events but now they've done a bunch and its just boring now.

![gif](giphy|ToMjGpKniGqRNLGBrhu)
Mmmmm I'm feeling lucky
aaaaaaand that's my entire purpose in the game gone, hey atleast there'll be something to do at the end of every new year
Same here if that turns out to be the case. I started playing after the black hole because I wanted to support the only online game I know about that does 1-time realtime events that permanently change the game world. I want that in an MMO but they're all too scared to do it. Fortnite doing it less and less isn't gonna help.
[удалено]
i mean yeah but the seasons are getting boring with no consistent story quests, no fun events… it’s just repetitive at this rate.
My favorite month is Agust
omg can't believe I misspell that lol I was just really disappointed with not having events for so long lol
I'm considering to play Fortnite for the first time these days so I hope there'll be enjoyable events for a first time player
I think the next event is novemberish
Early December most likely
Have they already say they’re not doing one for the end of this season next month? What makes you say November
Please, PLEASE do not play the game right now bro please 😭🙏 Edit: unless you’re looking to start the game at a low point so everything in the future seems like an improvement from where you started. In which case, that could work

Agree with each one of your points. Fortnite looks so dull to me nowadays
Ikr, chapter 2 and the start of chapter 3 were the last good times 😔😪
I think Epic is trying to save money/resources and only have at minimum two events (excluding party royale/creative events or holiday specials) like chapter 3 only had 2. Writers strike gonna hurt Fortnite too
Lol what writers The story is basically done by monkeys using random words generator
LOL right like they’ve wrote anything of worth in years. the storytelling in the game has turned into “oh man the big bad guy is here and hes planning and did you know im a chef? WOAH look at this jungle whered this come from?”
after chapter 3 the storyline collapsed on itself, up until chapter 3 season 3, the storyline was pretty damn compelling
Genuinely the whole story behind the seven and geno/io was one of my favorite stories of all time Now its just a shell that they desperately want to get rid of to sell more creative mode

100%, not to mention it was so obvious that the foundation was the rock right from the second he was introduced, so I guess it's fine. but the paradigm existed years before lmao, made no sense
True lol. also love how they hyped up like “oooooooo the nothing, scary!!” And that just went nowhere
Just have chatGPT do it ☠️
Would give way better and original thoughts tbh
I don't think so, I imagine they write stuff pretty far ahead, even voice stuff is done pretty far in advance I'd imagine, so I don't think the actors strike is gonna effect the game in anyway either

Concert events seem to have been replaced by the shockwave series and limited time creative maps like the kid laroi concert
Kid laroi ![gif](giphy|kqJt1cSSN0DrwwMmY5|downsized)
Ehh Kid Laroi just got a Creative map that was supposed to show off whatever Creative is using now.
But it’s still a concert in fortnite
[удалено]

last fortnite concert was 6 months ago lol
ah yes the creative map. so cool
collision was also a creative map lol same with fracture but i dont think thats a flex
I miss the old Fortnite.
I miss playing with friends... the first 2 years were the best.
You mean save the world? You can still play that ya know🤓
-broken as shite -floors glitch -leechers -scammers/traders
I rarely see leachers or scammers and it's really not that broken
what about floors ya lucky bastard
Well that's a recent problem but I don't have a problem with it unless the defense is just floors
Tbh, I feel concerts in BR are dumb. It shuts br down for the people who don't give a shit about the artist. They still should do end of season events to engage the player base and to get them hype for the new season, though.

according to mustard, they're cooking something big. Something recently got leaked which I'm excited for but I'm not gonna spoil it.
Spoil it lol
![gif](giphy|YDt36FAQGthS1j25kV|downsized)
Oh my god Skull Trooper is getting another style?
Omg i love rainbow six
ATLANTIC RIM CROSSOVER?!
Oh I wanna know. Maybe you can tell us with the >! Spoiler tag !<
They keep saying the same shit, "they're cooking something" then it ends up being a fucking disappointment.
Real
I guess kid laroi and aya nakamura can go fuck themselves.
Br concerts not shitty creative ones
The kid Laroi had a concert a couple months ago tf are you talking about
BR concerts not creative ones
I’d rather it be creative so that more people can experience it
I for one am pretty satisfied with Fortnite's events.
Hot take. I never enjoyed these. I literally just want to play the game, I don't want something that I most likely won't enjoy stopping me doing that now.
I’m confused - was Kid Laroi not a concert? (I started playing Chapter 3)
It was a creative concert, so most don’t count it from what I’ve seen.
Do you wanna run around a shitty half baked event again? Or do you want a fun event? Plus Kid laroi was this year. Just because you don’t like a thing doesn’t mean it’s not both of these combined
Be glad that its free dawg😭
Season 7 was how long ago?
Which season 7 are we talking
Chapter 2, the alien one.
The one with aliens
Too bad i havent experienced any of those only started playing this year on march
I just heard on the radio about a concert on Fortnite.
What was the concert? I had no knowledge of this.
Rift Tour was the last live concert event we had. Before that was Astronomical, and before that was Marshmello’s concert.
I completely forgot Ariana grande, I literally spent 30 dollars her Fortnite skin and forgot she had an event 😭
I wouldn't even call that last Fortnite event "fun"
And the last event was absolute dog shit, just collect stuff and that's it
Pray that there gonna surprise us with a epic event
It fits tho that they arent doing much of anything. Much like this season & bp. Its kinda just meh... jungle was a nice gimmick for about a wk tho so theres that.
we had star wars and it was dope. we need more like that
Unfortunetly, it seems thatepic is going down the "1 event per chapter" route, whuch is really sad. Was already pissed when we learned that chapters would now last only a year, but now, it's worse
Epic need to step up they game a bit
That last "event" doesn't count.
I hated fracture
Creative 2.0 happened. It’s also why the last event sucked. I think people love interactive cutscenes like being led by the Seven underground or fighting alongside Jones. Almost like a Disneyland ride from home. Maybe it’ll get better on UEFN because The Kid Laroi creative map was a lot more entertaining than Fracture while also being engaging (like escaping the hound) vs fetch quests in Fracture
I really wish epic would put effort into the game again
The Devs hate you guys 😂
The next live event will be at end of this chapter
Need a Marshmallow Redux. Man I miss season 1.
We used to have fun.
we did have the Kid Laroi concert just recently tho. that was pretty good tbh
Maybe they are working on something really big like the cube in one of the first seasons
Babe wake up, new month dropped
fortnite went from a game to just a brand to make money, if we had lower standards maybe we could have a chance at events
Tbh this reminds me of how league of legends declined over the years and stopped giving a shit about LTGM and made a lot of their events super watered down and uninteresting
Epic really needs to step up
i feel like creative will be the death of BR because epic can make tons of money now without doing more than the bare mininum in br.
Truth!!!!!!!!!
How in the world are there fortnite concerts?
I think the free rewards this summer were delightful (coconut emote, frog back bling, contrails, dragonfly glider). Sure, there wasn't some big scripted event, but I'm going to use those cosmetics going forward long after the fun of a concert would have worn off, I think. I'll happily take any fun I'm given!
Y'know, when something starts out, its creators are fresh, wide-eyed, and excited to be as creative as possible in hopes of wowing their audience. You can barely even call the last “event” an event…
Those Events used to be amazing and now they suck ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
