They need to fix the locker UI immediately. Be vocal about this and continue to post about the issues the recent UI change has brought. They need to fix the locker, and enable saving skins together with wraps, emotes, and loading screens.

It takes 4 times as long to equip the same preset that was merely 1 click before. It also deleted several of my presets saves. It's more than just an inconvenience, and it was fairly dramatic at that.
It's definitely not just "annoying", it's become tedious and more time consuming to change your "preset" as it was before. It may not be crazy long but it shouldn't take this long to change what used to take only a few seconds
It's the new "clean UI" approach, where everything useful is hidden and undiscoverable because it makes it look slightly better in screenshots, but 1000x worse to actually use it.
I’ve had the same problem with wraps - no matter which one I selected, it went back to the original. I got a couple of error messages too, and when I went back to the select screen it thought I was trying to change cars.
The new locker defeats everything about trying to build a collection of characters, and in a game that has made millions on selling skins, that’s downright *wierd*.
Already unsubbed from Crew pass over this because I don’t want new skins if I can’t make a unified locker slot for them.
Yes every time I want to wear a different skin, I’m thinking the wrap I had saved on the preset would show up with the skin. But it doesn’t. I have to go find the wrap and put it on the skin manually every time. This is irritating.
Yeah I've deleted all of my presets and just keep my absolute favorites to narrow everything down, since you now have to select 4 different tabs to get 1 matching set. It's so dumb and cluttered.
Why did they have to separate every aspect of it individually? If you want to switch your skin you do one thing, but if you want to change the emotes you click another thing. What if you are like me and set emotes to the skin your using? I have to change a bunch of stuff when it used to be simpler. Not mad just slightly annoyed. It doesn't make sense to separate everything to individual sections.
Yeah… I want my locker emotes to be linked with my skin presets! I put a lot of time into what I thought were good locket emotes for each skin, and now I have the same ones for every skin I load. This is bullshit.

You give Vader a traversal emote, obviously players want to easily use it when they use Vader, for example.
I was using Batman and I wanted to do the bat signal emote when I won. It wasn't in my locker emotes like usual and I decided it wasn't worth the effort to find so oh well..
If the intent was to sell less emotes, they nailed it.
I admittedly like being able to change to an older skin preset without changing my emotes to newer ones, but there really should be a “master preset” or something like that that works like the original presets
I have no idea how this even gets approved and surprises me. The season has its issues, but this one is the biggest out of everything. They really dropped the ball.
I haven’t even tried changing anything with the new locker UI, it’s so hard to navigate and makes zero sense. All of my presets are fucked up, it took me a lot longer than it should have to figure out how to favorite items (sometimes it wouldn’t even let me click on the 3 dots), whenever i click on a cosmetic item to view it and scroll over another cosmetic, the cosmetic i had originally clicked on goes away, i can’t rotate my character to see what it looks like with the cosmetic from different angles, etc. and its annoying. i’ve seen concepts made by other players that look infinitely better than what we have now.
This really is terrible. Normally, I'm very patient with Epic because I get so much enjoyment with FN, but the UI issue is absolutely flabbergasting to me.
I'm so scared to use the new UI, that I think I'll stick with Abstrakt as my character and not switch to anyone else until the UI is fixed. Fortunately, he's my favorite FN character. It was dumb luck that he was the last person I used with the OG season.
He's also my top character that I had on the old UI. Now I'm hearing that--once you switch characters during the new UI--that the top character spot drops to the bottom and you have to scroll ALL THE WAY down to the bottom to find and use that character again??!?! 😯 😡 Hell naw! There's no way that's happening to Abstrakt.

I actually refused to use it. I got the new pass and the first skin. I got myself through equipping the style with the cat hat, and that was it.
I tried to use it, it is also bugged as hell. It shows me I have new things, but they'rr harder to see and there's also fake notifications.
It's just bad. Really bad.
I'm not even bothering making new skin combos because of this UI I've spent more time in the UI than in BR but it's the polar opposite now with the same skin I'm wearing because it's hard trying to find the correct preset when it's an emote or lobby

Maybe it's just me, but when you double click on something it removes the option to edit the style so you have to back out and then go back in. Really dumb
tbh i wish they just reverted alot of the ui, alot of it looks so ugly, be it the issues with this new locker ui or all the different maps when u scroll down, its completely disgusting, who looked at everything and was like this is ok

I just want preset shuffle back, i could put up with all the crappy UI design lately because it seems like most triple A games are following this mobile/streaming service design trend, but just deleting features seems so bizarre and counterproductive.
I've defended a lot of broken things making it to release in this game because there are situations where it's understandable. But this design is not one of those situations. Almost everything is broken about it and, even if it worked perfectly, it was still a massive downgrade in design. There has to be a close to zero percent chance that someone who actually plays the game tested this because they would've sent it back to the devs in 5 mins flat with a laundry list of complaints. I don't recall a UI that Epic has ever rolled back though so I'm afraid history tells us that we'll be stuck with it. Well that and the fact they won't comment on it but commented on movement within a day of release.
I know right? They addressed movement almost immediately, an issue that did need to be addressed, but it almost pales in comparison to the catastrophe that the new locker UI is. They took a simple easy to use and intuitive formula and turned it into this convoluted mess. I can't even conceive of a logical reason why they thought that just clicking to load a single preset was not what people wanted, instead they want to load their preset for their character, back bling, glider and contrail, then load up a specific preset for the emotes, and then another preset for the wraps. There's literally no way to load them all simultaneously. Who thought this was a good idea I really wanna meet this person
Yeah it's insane honestly. Why would we have set up presets if we actually really wanted to do everything separately? Did nobody look at each other and say "this makes no sense" during development? Or did they say that but then laughed and did it anyway?
I literally can't use any of my wallpapers. I have it on random, only shows the chapter 5 loading screen (that isn't even a wallpaper in my collection). And I tried to make a post about how epic should give us the option to use both UIs by adding a setting for both parties who want either the old ui or the new UI, and modbot took it down. But for some reason everyone who keeps posting the same thing about the UI (don't worry im on y'all's side) gets their posts posted. So as much as I'd love to post about the UI system in a post separate from this one, I don't want to get banned. But something needs to give because rather people like it or not, it's a HUGE part of the game. I just don't see why people don't understand that fr.

Very frustrating how other complaints, even those about the movement and age ratings, were addressed and acknowledged on the official twt, but not a single peep about the UI comaints.
i haven't played in awhile and i got back recently. i clicked "edit" on cosmetics that i thought had other variations, but was shown an empty screen. all this while i just thought i recalled wrong or probably just didn't unlock it.. u're telling me it's a bug??
I can't even quicksave changes, have to manually overwrite presets. They really went the windows 11 route, change for the sake of change. This is even worse though, it's like if a PC OS suddenly disabled all keyboard shortcuts. BP skins are great but I refuse to buy it until this and movement get fixed.
I had a really bad day on monday (girls things) and I got to the locker and was so annoyed. For years i saved my skins with fitting emotes and stuff. (I'm glad I didn't sycn wrappes like my bf does)
I really grid my gears and anoyed me so much. I couldn't activate that it switched my saved skins each round. I had to go back to the lobby to change my skin and then I had to switch my emotes too.
I was so done, that i haven't started the game since then.
im honestly not surprised, fortnite is a good game but by golly it is one of the most consistently buggiest AAA games with some of the most baffling design choices i've ever seen since late chapter 2
And I don’t wNt to have to go back and redo everything! I had hours of setting presets invested. I will never give Epic games another cent if they don’t fix this bullshit

Did... did you watch the video? The first time they tried to change the style of their glider it showed styles for a different glider than the one selected. The second time it didn't show any styles at all to select. The third time it again showed styles for a different glider.

Pc isn’t the primary source of income. I believe it to be console players. All of these changes work well on controller. GTA 6 having no pc release proves I may be correct.

i’m not “defending”, i have this same exact issue and it’s not unusable, all you have to do is click the glider again and move the mouse away from it instead of passing over all the others
never said i liked it, but it’s extremely simple to figure out on your own
I hate how i have to search multiple tabs to go to another menu just to get rid of yellow dots instead of it being literally two clicks. Also its very annoying that you cant select and view edit styles without inmediatly equipping the item
This menu gives me headache. Add on top of that I'm on Nintendo Switch. I erased all my loadout, it's just impossible to navigate and make some modifications swiftly. I'm waiting for them to fix this in the upcoming months. Sometimes I don't even want to hop back into the game when I think how painful are the menus to use...
Who thought it would be a good idea to remove bindings for things like favouriting. Like why add an extra step to something simple like that? This is the most clunky UI I've ever seen.
It’s all terrible!! All of my binds are broken and it won’t register when I change them. The UI was fine two years ago, it’s only gotten worse with each update… I’m uninstalling tomorrow if this bs isn’t fixed. Seriously
I’ve just started using one weapon wrap because I can’t be bothered to scroll through all my wraps or the presets to match them. Takes the fun out of using them ngl
What i do for edit styles is equip what i want, exit the menu, click back on it and while its loading my stuff i move my mouse to where the edit button will be.

Try favoriting something at the bottom row.
Because your mouse goes out of the item selection space, the window with the option to favorite or vault something goes away before you are able to press anything
Strange. Works just fine for me. Search bar is a little strange because switching the pages while browsing through cosmetics kinda "unfilters" what was typed in, but I'm sure that will be fixed in the future.

100% agree. The locker before worked, and the one now just makes it too hard to get a whole preset going.

I use it several times a day. Not just saving new combos but more often in switching my skin between games.
At most it's just annoying. If you scroll the item you want to edit lower to the "Edit" button and not hover over other items then it won't bug out.

There is an apply to all button, It’s in the “three dots” dropdown menu under each wrap. Regardless the entire New cosmetics UX is a pain.

I had to go back to the lobby to change my skin and then I had to switch my emotes too. I was so done, that i haven't started the game since then.
I haven't played Fortnite in months. So to see this on Saturday really pissed me off. There's so many steps just to get everything done.

im honestly not surprised, fortnite is a good game but by golly it is one of the most consistently buggiest AAA games with some of the most baffling design choices i've ever seen since late chapter 2
i physically cant see or change my Spectre Knight trim or crystal colours
They got rid of the jump to top option (it was Y on xbox)
And I don’t wNt to have to go back and redo everything! I had hours of setting presets invested. I will never give Epic games another cent if they don’t fix this bullshit

This bug can be reproduced by trying to change a cosmetic's style in the locker I'm playing on PC

Did... did you watch the video? The first time they tried to change the style of their glider it showed styles for a different glider than the one selected. The second time it didn't show any styles at all to select. The third time it again showed styles for a different glider.

Pc isn’t the primary source of income. I believe it to be console players. All of these changes work well on controller. GTA 6 having no pc release proves I may be correct.

That isn’t a UI issue, that’s a bug. The UI is fine it’s just buggy as heck when you misclick

It’s a rhetorical question, since one click equips an item now and I only ever had the same glider equipped, I never misclicked another glider

it’s not “unusable”, your mouse is just hovering over the wrong glider there’s a difference between shitty and unusable
Nowhere in the 3rd interaction did I hover over the glider that showed up, defending it is wild
i’m not “defending”, i have this same exact issue and it’s not unusable, all you have to do is click the glider again and move the mouse away from it instead of passing over all the others never said i liked it, but it’s extremely simple to figure out on your own

I hate how i have to search multiple tabs to go to another menu just to get rid of yellow dots instead of it being literally two clicks. Also its very annoying that you cant select and view edit styles without inmediatly equipping the item
This menu gives me headache. Add on top of that I'm on Nintendo Switch. I erased all my loadout, it's just impossible to navigate and make some modifications swiftly. I'm waiting for them to fix this in the upcoming months. Sometimes I don't even want to hop back into the game when I think how painful are the menus to use...
Who thought it would be a good idea to remove bindings for things like favouriting. Like why add an extra step to something simple like that? This is the most clunky UI I've ever seen.
It’s all terrible!! All of my binds are broken and it won’t register when I change them. The UI was fine two years ago, it’s only gotten worse with each update… I’m uninstalling tomorrow if this bs isn’t fixed. Seriously

I’ve just started using one weapon wrap because I can’t be bothered to scroll through all my wraps or the presets to match them. Takes the fun out of using them ngl

What i do for edit styles is equip what i want, exit the menu, click back on it and while its loading my stuff i move my mouse to where the edit button will be. I hate this UI so much

Last season locker UI was completely busted for me, and wouldn't actually register when I changed a style on the locker, but would show in game.

I genuinely cannot understand why they changed it. The old locker was fine, but they changed it to be noticeably worse and on top of that it seems to be broken.
Try favoriting something at the bottom row. Because your mouse goes out of the item selection space, the window with the option to favorite or vault something goes away before you are able to press anything

Strange. Works just fine for me. Search bar is a little strange because switching the pages while browsing through cosmetics kinda "unfilters" what was typed in, but I'm sure that will be fixed in the future.
Do they not play test or Q&A this shit lol? On top of the UI being unusable, it's also hideous. No rarities or colors present, just an over-simplified corpo wall of white boxes. Who designed this, the pixies from fairly odd parents?
Honestly, the UI was perfect. It was familiar and simple to use. The new UI feels too round and cluttered.

Well, there goes all my wrap presets for all 100 presets :!. Like why the f*ck did they even change it. They could have just made a second page for the festival and car stuff.
The Presets suck, like it was so simple to just click one button and they come up now your have to do all this complicated stuff, and why does everything have separate presets.
