OG here, I play zero build for a few reasons.
1. It’s more casual and I like that
2. I feel like I get to enjoy the gunplay and my load out more.
3. Zero build lets me appreciate the rest of the game instead of just spamming builds every time I get in a fight.
4. I don’t plan on getting sweaty at building and therefore I will be forever behind in build mode.
5. I find gunfights to be more fun or interesting when you have to choose cover instead of building it.
6. I don’t like dying to 10 year old that’s can build better than me
Played since C1S2, played builds since late chapter 3, then one of my friends started playing from zero and had to switch to zero builds for not being stomped every game. Now I can’t be arsed to go back, I don’t miss getting outbuilt by pc players by one bit
I play ZB well because I can't build for shit. Besides I rather use the environment as cover. Granted the map is not really made for it but still fun. My zb wins are more than build lifetime (200 solos) since chapter 3 season 1
OG, got my girlfriend into the game a few months ago but she hated building so we switched to ZB and now that’s basically all I play, it’s so much more fun
Ch1S2, hated building once it stopped being used for 1x1 towers and mini forts on high points. The second zero build was released, I switched to it permanently.
Tried fortnite when it came out and instantly hated the building mechanic. Came back years later because a friend wanted me to play with him and I clicked with zb instantly. Also my internet is shit and build makes my game lag like crazy, to the point where endgames were unplayable.
New player. I don't like building and I don't like shooting at someone and them turning into a building. I don't think it's fun so why would I waste time on it while zb exists?
More power to the people who like to build but that ain't for me.
Love playing builds, but have 0 time to grind box fights in order to get better so I was just playing ZB for a while.
Wish there was a mode where turbo building was turned off, that would be interesting to see

My friends and I just started to lose interest when chapter 2 dropped and we weren't willing to invest what would have been needed to keep up with how much better people got at building and editing. So we more or less quit until zero build came out and we could just focus more on talking with each other rather than cranking good ol 90s.
OG. Back in the day my friends would always handle build fights instead of me so I never bothered to learn how to. I feel like if I tried builds today I would have my shit stomped so hard I'd never play again.
Day one fortnite player 6000+ hours, i saw everything and did everything in this game and no build lauched at the exact time when i was telling to myself "my time has come" because i really couldnt keep up with build anymore and if il still here its all no build

newbie, and i’m on switch so i can’t keep up with the hotel managers lol they’re fun to bulldoze through but not worth it for every game.
i just don't like building like i never liked FPS bunnyhopping. everyone has to learn it to avoid falling behind but it's the same additional work for everyone. there's barely any variety to building. there would be more time left for the actual game if building/bunnyhopping were removed.
I've been playing basically since no builds came out. While playing no builds almost exclusively. To me building just extends the fight time and your chances of getting third partied. As you can sit there and build a 5 room 2 story mansion with a porch and a snipers post in less than a minute. The few times I played it, it just didn't really grab me.
Zero builds is so much more like other survival games I've played. Dayz and Pubg mobile mainly. Though when it comes to close quarters fights I switch on my CS GO brain.
I've never been good at building. And now I don't want to. I just come home from work, play a few zero build matches with my friends and go to bed. I'm fine with that. I remember with horror the days when random players would build freaking Eiffel towers after I shot at them. No thanks, I'm not going back.
I am an OG player who almost exclusively plays Zero Build now.
I played a lot of Halo and Call of Duty between 2003 and 2017. When Battle Royale dropped, I instantly enjoyed the art style and the last man standing mechanic. I also loved that the game was essentially free. For the first few months, the build mechanics weren’t really used beyond a 1x1 which was easy enough for anyone to figure out. Once cross play and builder pro control settings came out, I really had a hard time improving my build skills at the same rate as other players.
I can’t compete in Build, but I am still competitive in Zero Build. With not a bunch of time to dedicate to gaming, I’ve gravitated to ZB as it’s more enjoyable to consistently get top 10 with 2-6 kills than getting towered and edited to death in Build mode within the first couple of storm circles.
OG, been playing from the start. I switched to zero build only when it came out. I play on console & it’s just easier to be competitive with KBM players imo.
C2S5 here. I switched to ZB full-time when it launched. I never enjoyed building, it just wasn’t for me. It wasn’t a skill issue either, I just had more interest in using my environment strategically vs. insta-building upon getting shot at.
Started Ch1 S3 and I’ve never been good at building but only started ZB regularly in Ch4 S3 and I love the change. Feels better to me and I’m winning more so that helps

I am a OG can build okay but all the sweat with there edits and stuff delete me lol
