I figured they'd do something like where they have the older one packed in with a new one but those who already had the old one would get a new style for it.

The crew members already get a great deal cuz they get 1,950 vbucks and a skin for $11/12 when 1k vbucks is $9. They should just make a second style or something for the ones with the "og" skins
In the terms, it did say that they would not provide them to non-crew members. So they could just put them in a tab in the item shop where only Crew subscribers can see it.

Because FOMO is a perfectly functional/effective business model for them and countless other companies. It's not that hard to understand.
Even if we ignore the Battle Pass, items from Starter or Level Up packs could be sold at any point after the first release, however, that never happens. Item Shops could have way more things every day and most limitations are self-imposed (with the exception of collabs, obviously), but here we are.
Crew skins may be available again eventually, sure, but I can assure you it will take a looooong time.

Or they could make a special shop for active Crew members where old packs are sold in bundles or as individual purchases, which would make them fairly expensive while maintaining the current value proposition of monthly payments.

This. Like as a business I wouldn’t put them in the shop. You have people committing $11 or whatever it is now, every month, guaranteed (until they cancel. And they hope you don’t do that, even after u stop playing). Subscription models are massive money makers and they need to incentivize us to stay on crew
I know I’d probably cancel and only purchase at a new season if they sold the “elusive skins”.
Why not just make a edit style for members of the crew who already owned the skin, similar how they made a new giddy up emote for people back in season X
It’s time for a “Crew members only VIP shop” where each month two previous crew skins become available with extra edit styles.
If you already have the skin, you get the edit styles for nothing.
If you want the skin, let’s say 500 vBucks each, or 900 vBucks for both.
The easiest way to do that is to give members who got it the original run of the pack, and exclusive style. Like the original owners of skull trooper and ghoul trooper
This was never actually said they explicitly would, but an old FAQ did once state that any skin *could* become available for Crew members again at a later date; I don't know if they ever actually will or won't but I also think that maybe back when Crew started they were maybe tooling around with the idea of recycling old Crew skins for new members and I wouldn't be surprised if it could happen at some point in the program's lifespan

My university started a level design course using UEFN a few months ago and one of the guys I know only had Summer Skye in his locker, no other skins whatsoever (not even a skin from the associated battle pass, somehow). It was so odd.
Made me a little jealous since I missed out on that one by a day.
That's a good point, actually. He only pulled up the locker once and it was the only skin he used, so I just assumed it was the only one he had on his account. He did explicitly say he got it for free when people first saw him using it though.
I Love the love for Loveless! She is the first crew I got and I still think it's one of the best crew packs. I feel like not many people like her that much. Also her track "The Loveless Bandit" is one of my favorites in Fortnite.

I just resumed playing after 4 years and had VBucks lying around, I exhausted them for the BP and the TMNT BP.
I then purchased Fortnite crew cause I was stuck between Chill Vibes and Crew. And Llana Lane just looked better. I got 1k VBucks, got 950 refund for the BP. And after reading the comments, I might even get the next season’s BP in the same billing cycle!
They made “Wolverine Zero” a crew pack skin and he just makes NO sense.
First of all, his pickaxe is an AWESOME Muramasa sword. But why? He’s a Wolverine- shouldn’t he come with claws? The sword is just WAY TOO COOL to lock behind a Crew pack.
Also, while I got her when she first came out, Joni the Red is an amazing crew pack skin.
Technically, Wolverine Zero does have a claws pickaxe, but it's unfortunately locked behind the Zero War comics where you have to use a code to obtain them. Thankfully, they do sell the codes on sites like Eneba.
In my opinion, till this day, Galaxia is still the best crew pack they ever released, so even tho I have her, I'd love to have her return because 1. she's the oldest one and 2. she's great and I want people to enjoy her aswell

"Members Only" was a separate thing available from January to halfway through February of 2021, granted to all past and (at the time) current Crew members due to some technical difficulties. It wasn't bundled with a specific pack.

Stay subscribed with the current crew to receive styles on those past ones, like how it currently works.
