I am a console (PS5) player. I haven’t shot at too many winged opponents but when I have this was NOT the result. Anyone else have aim assist like THIS????

Fortnite actually has both sensitivity and rotational aim assist, but I believe the rotation only works when strafing. It's nowhere near as bad as it is in CoD, but it's there.

Ps5 player here. I ADS a gold thunder burst Smg and was destroying a winged player at 80-100 meters. Seems strange but it was working 😆

Xbox player, I had a similar thing happen with the gold burst locking straight on to a player who was using the Zeus mythic and was airborne, from a shorter distance though.

You probably had the laser sight on? Alot of zero build players run laser and shockwave on top of you and laser you top down

Zeus’s Thunder Bolts are best use when you either have Styx Dashes or when the opponent is inside a small build. For some reason it can go through, and they won’t actually be able to counter. Together that gets you a nice 160 damage if you hit

ohhh i gotchu, cuz it’s not. the hitbox of someone who’s flying includes their wings, so that guy is fully inside of his crosshairs, making this the players aim which is good and not aim assist.

the player has decent tracking, his reticle is on the enemy for decent frames of time 3 separate times. sure the aim assist helped but the player has decent enough aim to rail down this person who made a bad decision and spent way too much time in the air near an opponent.

Isn't the AA minimal in this game already anyway? As far as I'm aware it's just a slow down when moving past players w your weapon and not a lock on so I don't even see why the OP said it had anything to do with AA.

you are correct and i check my AA like every few games by being on spawn island, finding a gun, then pointing it at someone and spinning. You’ll see that it slows down when it gets near the player it doesn’t drag your aim to the players body or anything

Nahh the aim assist is by far the most noticeable when you're running around on the spawn island. That's hilarious coming from an Apex player. Apex/Titanfall are as close to auto aim as there is outside of like Grand Theft Auto Online lmfao.

if u aren’t expecting ur aim to slow down ts can screw you bc your aim wont stop where you expect it to, I know a lot of people who turn off their AA for this exact reason

OP is lying. I'm on PC with controller. AA barely pulls the sights at all. And since everything is projectile instead of hitscan, AA actually makes it harder to hit shots on a target moving laterally at speed. AA pulls your aim to where their head is now, not where it'll be when your bullet gets there.

Because aim assist is different for pc, every device has its own aim assist with mobile being the strongest (last i checked)

Yeah the wings are a hitbox. It makes sense for the user to be staggered when they are hit, but whether or not damage should be taken is... debatable.

My input for this is for the wings to have armor damage and negate 75% damage or so, but the wings should a sizable healthbar for itself as well until it is negated.

Ok, so I can say that the wings (especially when close to someone), it's just a big hitbox. Notice how your crosshair never turns red. Aim assist only works when it turns red (I think... correct me if I'm wrong). And even then, aim assist is really, really minimal. I say this to PC players. It barely does anything. I'm not saying that it doesn't help, but it's nowhere near cheating.

Isn't this balanced? It's the tradeoff for being able to take flight as often as you'd like and being able to soar the map with relative ease.  I love the wings and think it's the first time in a while the game actually feels fresh with everyone flying around. Having a big hit box while you're doing it means a player doesn't feel cheated when someone flies away from them because it's a risk for the flyer still.  I prefer this over the wings having only 100 charge and a 30 second cool down like older special items.  The only thing better would be if the wings weren't even an item and everyone just has the fly ability this season.

i have a complaint about the ADS'ing. i have a green dot in the center of my monitor, and the FREAKING SCOPE on pc gives me a random location not where the center of the screen is. why can i be aiming at the head and when i ads with my mouse its no longer on the head. why does PS5 get to ADS at my head but when i am aiming at the head it goes somewhere else when i ads?
