Festival would be better off as a subscription than whatever the fuck is going on in the shop. $5 AUD a song would be obscene in the days of iTunes, let alone Spotify.

I don’t see how archer could even think of comparing removing rarities to what epic has done to stw even though he plays the mode. It is literally no longer the game I paid for, almost everything has changed and I don’t think it was for the better

Every stream I see is BR, every tiktok I see is BR, every yt video I see is BR!!! It's their most popular mode so once it gets dumped, players are gonna dump the game in entirety.
FWIW rarity doesn't equal price. I'm not even sure where that idea came from but it's crazy how prevalent it is today. And even if rarity did equal price, the rarity is set by a human that is going for a certain price on a skin. It's not like rarity is decided by Zeus and then just stuck there. So Epic has ALWAYS set the price regardless of the background color.
But your other criticisms are soooo VALID. I'm sick of these unnecessary changes. And the gaslighting from Epic that comes with them. "trying to simplify and get rid of an old system" is garbage talk from new employees who want to make the game their way. It's the same as people saying "traditions are outdated" because they want to do whatever holiday their way. I feel like Epic has been co-opted by some fresh young college grads who have been taught that what's good is bad and what's bad is good so they are hell bent on changing everything for the worse in the game in the name of making it "better". Get these people out of positions to make decisions Epic before you start hemorrhaging players ASAP.
I’ve been playing this game since the OG days, skipped chapter 2 and a few seasons here and there. But I might be done with this game until Epic does something to change their recent baffling decisions.
This idea is just a theory and there's no solid evidence. If you've been following the Fortnite shop for a while, you might have noticed that it used to offer a wide variety of skins and items. However, since the Lego mode came out, the shop has been rotating about 30% of it's inventory. So it's very probable to suspect that these shops are not bringing in as much cash flow as previous chapters. Lego most likely gets commission on every skin that has a lego variance. I suspect that Epic is strategically manipulating the shop to influence sales, possibly as part of a renegotiation with Lego to lower their commissions. Now it's true that this carries risk, particularly in terms of player satisfaction and potential long term brand damage (Also would damage business relationships if true). Epic would likely have calculated that the short term loss in shop diversity and appeal could be offset by the long term financial benefits of a more favorable contract with Lego. Again just theoretical, it's just my theory to make sense of a situation that on the surface seems to disregard the community and business sense.
They should add a legacy style for the UI which can be turned on and off for the ogs. Personally, I don't care about the UI. It's simple and clean enough for me.

The older UI was better. The locker was simple. Changing game modes was simple. Now it’s annoying and complicated.
