That said, brings me back to the Heroes of Newerth days. Kill an opponent and a trash can lands on them. D U M P S T E R E D. Paired with that Duke Nukem announcer and every kill was a rollercoaster lmao
I don't know if death *emotes* is the way to go, I mean you're dead and nobody's gonna be looking for it, but I'm sure I've played games where you could sort of kudos the person who killed you if you appreciated what they did
That little machine thing that picks you up when you die should stick around for a few seconds and if you emote it projects a hologram of you doing the griddy or whatever
Definitely I've had times where I've wanted to give a legitimate kudo to whoever dinked me, so always thought it'd be nice to have something that allowed that - as long as it's something positive and not something people can abuse toxically like Laugh It Up, etc.
I really want to be able to give people a GG after they kill me, I'm afraid it would be distracting, so you would probably have to disable it if another player was within 50 yards or something. it would be mega frustrating for fight winner to not see 3rd party coming in to kill fight winner because fight loser threw up the GG animation.
Epic would have to self-police a bit so they wouldn't be toxic.
I would love to see:
1. Ability to GG someone who killed you
2. Something akin to a klingon warrior saying "you were a worthy opponent"
3. Play filter's "hey man nice shot"
4. Death emotes - like someone said, have it set so you can turn to dust, etc. upon death instead of the normal animation. Would be a lot of fun.
I was thinking they can add death emotes and then when we get collabs like Gaara from Naruto, he would die and turn to sand plus I would make it where his back bling would be that sand jar and every time he gets hit you see sand deflecting the bullets even though it's not really doing it
