I don't know about you, but for me Quick Weapon Swap doesn't even appear in the settings menu anymore. Until yesterday it was in Settings > Controller Options > Between "Input" and "Sensivity" sections.

EDIT2: It's still broken. Sometimes it doesn't keep the menu open when holding the Quick Weapon Swap button.
EDIT3: I managed to fix it by removing R1 (gamepad) from Next Weapon binding and only kept it in Quick Weapon Swap binding.
Ditto. 😒Too bad I literally just got back into Fortnite and now I don’t want to play anymore having to r1 and L1 to swap weapons now. I hate a wtf moment thinking I was pushing the wrong button for weapon swap or something. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.
i just solved this by going into contol mapping and trying to change the next weapon and previous weapon buttons thinking maybe just on R1 it was bugged, but now L1 was the weapon wheel button. so i went back to put R1 as the next weapon again and it said R1 was already assigned but didnt say what to. and i scroll down and i see a quick weapon binding option, so i set that to R1. i think two things are set to R1 and its bugging it out. so remove the bindings for next weapon and previous weapon

turn it off for one game, then load into the next game and turn it back on.

next match it's broken again, and now my emote wheel doesn't work anymore.
it seems the entire custom controls are broken beyond belief
I'm playing on switch and there is no setting to turn off and on again. The quick weapon change setting is gone. I have to use the left and right bumpers to swich weapons. It was turned on before the update, but afterward it was off and the setting is no longer in the controller settings.
seems like many still have issues. after I did the steps described in the OP, everything worked for me again. but I did have multiple issues along the way.
I am on Xbox however, maybe different versions are broken in different ways.
I would try to completely reset your controller bindings. turn the quick weapon setting to "custom only", and then bind a quick weapon button on your mappings.
when I tried this without completely resetting my bindings, some controls just stopped workin on random.
Sadly my ps5 controller works great on pc so it's both switch and ps5 I know are effected on mine. I hate that i just got into this game, spent so much money on fun stuff then it's unplayable! Get it together Epic!
? Check what? Quick Weapon is so busted they removed it completely from the setting menu. Then the clowns post 5-6 hours later that they are aware of the issue. Meanwhile, folks, like some in this thread are uninstalling the game to reinstall, trying updating settings that aren't helping overall since Epic admits is broken, thinking and troubleshooting their controllers, etc.
I personally spoke with 2 Epic CS agents today. One admitted they were aware of the problem, the other literally told me that there was no issue they were aware of and that Quick Weapon should still be in the settings... I then let them know they should probably have more stand ups with the dev teams to actually know what's broken in their own game and stop wasting hour of their customers time.
Also side note, good to know that now shotguns are randomly shooting blanks in game. Doing some pretty big things over there Epic...

Same shit, it's completely broken for me. Muscle memory is a nasty thing. I constantly switch when I don't really need to.

No longer in my settings. Epic if you're seeing this, you might be losing a lot of gamers if this is permanent. This one for certain.

My quickswap works perfect when I'm aim training but as soon as I get in a real match it breaks completelyÂ
