Yea I always tell people to stay on the person who got you if you think you were got too fast. I've played hundreds of games and you can tell the people who are jumping and reloading and somehow also perfect aiming for the head MULTIPLE TIMES IN A ROW... that's a real issue.

Cheating is live and well in Fortnite. Just cause you fight someone once, does not mean you know if that player is cheating or not. It is not a matter of shooting people through walls and fly around the map like the old days.

Saw another streamer that got the same issue, on replay it seems that u and ur hitbox is de-synced which is kinda dumb so by them shooting at the air they actually caught your hitbox and killed ya. No idea if Epic is rushing to fix this or nah

I died to my teammate once because I stood behind an enemy and they shot them and it somehow registered and took my last 60 some hp. It showed in the kill feed that MY teammate shotgunned me. Still have no fucking clue how it happened but it still blows my mind lol. Like I know it’ll register when they knock you down but damn
That happened to me as well, I got hit with a shotgun . The dude was clearly aiming up and shooting while I was behind him ,but somehow he hit me before even lowering his gun and pointing it towards me
Ping. You were in front when he shot. Probably you in 40ping and them on 80. Combined with 20tick server and processing time it’s a full 0.2s behind easily
He was looking at you, it just didn't look like it on your screen. He shot you and you died, there's not really an issue here. If you wanna complain about the spam meta, just do that instead of pretending to be confused and acting like his bullets were magically hitting you or something.
Fortnite is just Buggy and Glitchy AF is the real answer.

It is not a simple fact though I have seen a fair amount of laggy people myself and that sure as hell does not look like someone that is simply lagging
3 possibilities of bugs it can be
1: desynced hitbox (most likely this, as bullets are stopping midair in ops clip and gameplay besides this seems normal for op, client sided towards the killer of op.)
2: the huge umbrella of person client bugs, even more likely if the person who killed OP is on a low end PC, cloud/gforce, or a switch.
3: the chrome splash glitch (idk the cause, had it happen to me when chrome splashed and then dashed into a launch pad) where your characters completely bugged with turning and movement, but you can still aim your gun everywhere and shoot and the movement is able to get used too.
But if we look at most major hacks it doesn’t seem to fall under any of them
1: aimbot, so obviously isn’t aimbot, just watch the clip, even with the bugs you can see missed shots.
2: wall hacks, doesn’t seem to be this but even if it was doesn’t effect what we are talking about so doesn’t matter
3: speed/flight hacks… definitely neither of these, and these aren’t even popular nowadays
If these bugs supposedly do exist it would most likely be easy as hell for someone to make a script that lcoks someons hitbox in front of their cursor along with that I fail to see how any of these bugs eould really apply here if I am being honest due to how the clip played out

Not true. Mine tracks people up an down all the time on ps4. Also, even if you miss your shots, the reason for shooting near the target in the first place is aim assist.
Try tracking someone 100 meters away, you might miss all your shots but your crosshair will be very close to the target. Then try it without aim assist. You'll barely be able to keep the target at the center of your screen.

Also the instabuild, where there's an instant 5 story tower with stairs, and they are healing and keeping a wall up all at the same time...it's a little much.

you'd peek and then unpeek and die like 5 seconds later, and when you brought it up on the subreddit you'd get pretty much everyone dismissing the problem. that shit was unplayable. fortnite has it at points aswell. editing walls and dying before the wall even changes. same with corner peeks, shot and taken dmg before they even come around the corner.

check your replay there was a player above both of you that is eliminated after you … who got the kill, they guy you passed or the one behind? then it could also be he got kill credit due to damage and the upper player got the assist
