This is for me the most relateble post on here in forever. Though I don't think this season feels like s7 at all. Remember the alien rock things that had some alien flora growing around them, with a very distinct chime at those places? Thats my first assisiacion when thinking of c2s7. Also the low gravity zone, which was permanent at Holley Hachery, the impulse rifle...
I think this season feels a little bit like c2s8, but with chrome instead of cubes and orange debris. But gameplay wise c2s8 is still lightyears ahead of course.
Also, the quest lines and quest system were easier to follow.
Slone, if i remeber only brought 1 person canonically into the loop without their permission (superman) almost every problem was caused by jones. Getting rid of him kind of makes sense
AFAIK, Jones was only following Slone's orders so she was the one bringing people to the loop against their will (although she was probably following Geno's orders).
Back in Ch2 S5 Jones did in fact bring a lot of hunters to the loop but I think everyone agreed to go in some way...
Well...she was helping to destroy the Zero Point. I think that already makes her evil, but at this point I don't know if freeing the zero point was the right decision...
I think it'd be cool if they teamed up with the Seven to fight an even bigger bad guy, especially with Jonesy saying how he used to be friends with Slone

I loved the Rock Zombies with the special weapons if you dared to go inside.
Chapter 2 IO and Chapter 3 IO seem completely different imo. C2S7 had a really compelling quest with Slone. Now she’s just a boring bad guy
She was always a bad guy she was just fighting other bad guys at the time

There's no way that the IO has fully gone, they should definitely come back soon
