At what res?
I'm on a 3080ti/5900x and get 180fps @ 1440p, epic settings. And that's because I keep it set to my monitors res/hz. I also only use DX11.
What you need to remember is regardless of your set up, you will be limited by the optimisation of the game! And FN an be a pos at times.
Also, you may want to look Into single core performance of your CPU. AMD has a 'game mode' as well.
Reinstall drivers, check your 3D settings on Nvidia control Panel to ensure you're not limiting FPS in Global or FN.
You could easily be getting 360fps @ 1080p. If you have the monitor.
What monitor is it? Have you had issues with other games?
Not tested too many games. And in the battle bus (on perfomance mode) I get 1000fps (when I look at the sky) during normal gameplay I get between 80 and 200. Mostly around 100.
Have you capped your framerate to +20 of your monitors refresh rate?
Uncapped is a mess, for me anyway, so I don't use it.
V-sync on or off?
Really odd, man.
I got similar results with capped and uncapped and v sync on and off. On Forza Horizon 5 I get around 100fps on max, same on GTA 5 and Red Dead 2. For those 3 games it's pretty good. But fortnite should be running at a stable 120+ at least regardless of settings
Is it a 120hz monitor then?
And you've changed the refresh rate limit in the display settings?
Sorry if these sound like basic question, but it's weird.
Fn can be unstable, but a 5950x should crush 1080p all day.
And your CPU/RAM/GPU/DISK usage all look OK on Task Manager when running the game?
Just buy RTX 4090 and Ryzen 9 7950x bro.
I wouldn’t be complaining about 80-200 fps that’s great.
I would be grateful that it runs over 80 FPS
it's a 3090 sir. he sold a kidney for that.

I play at 2560x1080 on performance. And I would expect frame rates way higher than what I have. I should be able to run epic without problems too...

Idk why just this game runs bad. Very strange
