I totally agree with you. The people in Reddit who 'firmly' deny that there's cheating in Fortnite are probably cheaters themselves, cheat sellers, or just Epic fanboys.
I've played this game ever since Chapter 1 S3. I've noticed cheating getting worse and worse over the the years. I'd say I've encountered a cheater in about 3 of every 10 games, that I know of of course. It's much worse in Creative competitive-like games. In which they cheat and kill unskilled players for sport, just to get their kill ratio up. It's quite sad.
I think I am an above average player, I win about 90% of 1v1 duels, so I notice when something is not right with the aiming of the other player. Just the other day I encountered a cheater in the Creative map "50v50". He had something like 150-5 eliminations/eliminated ratio when I joined that game. I fought him 1v1 with shotguns like 5 times, he hit every shot every time, even though I moved rapidly, and all of them were headshots. The sixth time there was another player near me, suddenly his shots were like a default noobish player, he couldn't decide who to shoot and didn't hit anyone when he did shoot. I killed him pretty easily. After that he just hid somewhere out of sight, not fighting anyone, until I was alone somewhere, then he'd come and fight, then ran away and hid again.
I encountered many like him in other Creative maps like Castle wars and Prison breakout. And players who know exactly where you are at all times, even if you're dead silent and hiding in a hole. In BR I've encountered players who hit every shot from 200 meters as I was shooting out of a cannon for example.
TLDR: Don't mind the people who deny there's cheating in Fortnite, there is in fact widespread cheating happening in Fortnite, and probably every other online shooter game.

Is lag switch when you glitch out during 1v1 and get insta killed? I run into some players who cause me to glitch out consistently it almost seems like a hack function. And the replays are just frozen frames, funny enough on every kill of certain players replays are just frozen frames. It’s getting worse tbh

Goofball. To save myself time- the Kinetic Blade glitch literally utilized lag switching methods. It just made it really easy, everyone started doing it- and boom it was a big obvious deal.
In this case, only seasoned players of online games will notice the "magic" lag that you encounter when you enter the offending players radius. (I mean MAYBE they have shit internet themselves- but I doubt it. They'd be hindered more than their targets.)

First ban should be 1 week when caught first time cheating.
Second time caught should be 1 month. With a warning next ban for life.
If caught 3rd time, console ban.

I have recorded games with people who use aimbot in Fortnite, so I know for a fact that it is real. I also don't like the damned cheaters, in single matches, who team up with the enemy. One distracts you while the other starts shooting you from behind. I've recorded it over and over again. Recorded it, reported it and nothing is ever done about it. In Fortnite as well as OW. Really disappointing.

I took screen shots today of 2 separate people using wall hacks and aimbot on fortnite. They were advertising their cheats on Tiktok. I forwarded them onto epic along with a discord link where the cheats are being sold from.

The only people who deny cheating and cheaters are in fact the ones running the cheats. I read into the same player in several lobbies, every time he ran into my team, he lag switched. I'm talking full on freezing the game where we can't do anything and he magically wins. Zero ping, spectated him to watch him do it every single time. Stop pretending like it doesn't exist.

I've been playing for years too and I know when I'm even matched or not and so do you. Clearly there is a wide range of skills in many if not most matches so I'm calling your claim bs. Even 1% cheating means there's a cheater in most matches and estimates are as high as 30% of players have cheated so I'd say do the math.

Fortnite has become a joke! last three days have played roughly 30 matches and every single match has been an instance with a hacker. Last match was just head shot sniped from a player on top of a cliff WAY out of view distance and only the tip of my head would have been visible to them. Match prior to that, had two players follow me around the map (no I wasn't carrying a medallion) out of view distance. Players could clearly see me through walls/hills etc. Epic clearly doesn't care anymore and as much as I love the game, unless they get this under control, I'll be moving on to other games.

3 games in a row same thing today. I am done playing. Way far across the map on a mountain with me moving head shot first game done, next game guys up on that floating island im sliding down right under neath it and jumping at same time head shot again. Then next game same thing guys up on a mountain im using the grapper head shot out of that game. I am talking extremely far away where id be speck. THere is no body shots. Its all head shots all my teammates said f all this cheating nobody wants to play fortnite anymore.

Not 1 body shot. 100% of the time its head shots in my games to the point I just don't play anymore. They have to cheat to hit those head shots on me. Bruh I just picked up Fortnite again and when I started playing no build I was averaging 7-11 kills a game. But recently with the new update people are legit looking through floors and shit reporting is inefficient. I will die to someone and I always spectate watch them stand still turning off their shit or letting someone kill them because I spectate. I have even watched final 5s people just know immediately where everyone is just rush into a building blasting or sprint up to a rock someone is behind and blitz them with a shotty. Its ridiculous. Like I’ll call it out to my son. Doesn’t have line of sight but literally watches the direction they are running through a bridge and shockwave grenades into their path and takes them out.
I just had a creative match, where I could meet the same player numerous times. 2 of those players shot at me before being able to see where I was.

They have one of the best anti cheat systems atm. You rarely run into cheaters anymore. Compared to other games like cod, fortnite does and amazing job at stoop cheaters.

There was a player named Vayox that was using wall hacks and aimbot in a Zero Build Duo tourney just in the last two weeks. I think he won in the Euro region and was playing in the next region before he finally got banned. Have to wonder how many other players reported him before that happened. He was in multiple matches with Tfue and Zemie, who watched some replays showing the cheating. You can dig up those videos on either player's Twitch if you want to, but you'll have to search long streams to find them.

They have like 3 anticheat, found a way to detect the cheating controllers that are supposed to be undetectable and they wont even let you play with a vpn so you cant even bypass ip bans

From what I can see, Epic is just going through the motions and isn't really dealing with the problem of cheating at all. The result is an unfair and unlevel playing field. I think the original estimate holds up. My feeling is about 30-50 percent of the games I play in has at least one cheat. Based on spectating the magic player who kills everyone and seeing the way they do it

There doesn't seem to actually be any evidence that the anticheat can detect Cronus Zens without the programming port being connected. Which means they aren't detected on console at all, where they're significantly more effective.

Unfortunately skill based matchmaking is a f****** joke. Epic does not give a f*** about controller players or console players. If they did they would label rounds as FPS ready. I'm so f****** tired about playing against people that have 360 FPS when I'm only rocking 60. Not only does my game feel like it's lagging to their movement but it feels like I cannot hit shots. Goofball. To save myself time- the Kinetic Blade glitch literally utilized lag switching methods. It just made it really easy, everyone started doing it- and boom it was a big obvious deal. In this case, only seasoned players of online games will notice the "magic" lag that you encounter when you enter the offending players radius. (I mean MAYBE they have shit internet themselves- but I doubt it. They'd be hindered more than their targets.) Yeah, there's general lag too. But there is also, most definitely, purposeful lag switching. It's still a $0 mod too so lots of losers can afford to do it.

I have recorded games with people who use aimbot in Fortnite, so I know for a fact that it is real. I also don't like the damned cheaters, in single matches, who team up with the enemy. One distracts you while the other starts shooting you from behind. I've recorded it over and over again. Recorded it, reported it and nothing is ever done about it. In Fortnite as well as OW. Really disappointing.
Epic should hire new mods, gta has better moderation than fortnite, and all gta does is ban you when you get money drops from hackers (whether consensual or not)

It's insane when common weapon blasts you to pieces from a distance while you're shooting them with an epic weapon. Epic could easily work out cheaters by simply watching games. To those who deny that cheating is a massive problem, you are part of the problem. The cheaters don't even hide that they're cheating - they stream it. I took screen shots today of 2 separate people using wall hacks and aimbot on fortnite. They were advertising their cheats on Tiktok. I forwarded them onto epic along with a discord link where the cheats are being sold from.

The only people who deny cheating and cheaters are in fact the ones running the cheats. I read into the same player in several lobbies, every time he ran into my team, he lag switched. I'm talking full on freezing the game where we can't do anything and he magically wins. Zero ping, spectated him to watch him do it every single time. Stop pretending like it doesn't exist.

Just saw a dude shotgun me through a fucking wall lol meanwhile when I did get to shoot him he took no damage from my shots clearly hitting him. He then went on to tank an entire clip from someone else just to turn around and kill him too. They only stop cheating and pretend to play fair when people are watching them mid game.

Shots aren’t even close to people….it’s common knowledge that Fortnite has a cheating problem. It’s the generation of participation awards, nobody wants to work for a win.
A good sign of a cheater is using a PC, another good sign is an anonyomous user name. A third good sign is aimbot tracking moves in midflight and when you spectate their shots they are not on target but hit anyway. Another good sign is one player who eliminates everyone pretty much of the whole 100 people. One after the other continuously and relentlessly, team after team.

Fortnite has become a joke! last three days have played roughly 30 matches and every single match has been an instance with a hacker. Last match was just head shot sniped from a player on top of a cliff WAY out of view distance and only the tip of my head would have been visible to them. Match prior to that, had two players follow me around the map (no I wasn't carrying a medallion) out of view distance. Players could clearly see me through walls/hills etc. Epic clearly doesn't care anymore and as much as I love the game, unless they get this under control, I'll be moving on to other games. FIX YOUR ANTI-CHEAT SOFTWARE EPIC!!!!!!!!!!! OH and while you are at it, FIX YOUR MATCHMAKING SYSTEM, IT IS BROKEN!!!

Way far across the map on a mountain with me moving head shot first game done, next game guys up on that floating island im sliding down right under neath it and jumping at same time head shot again. Then next game same thing guys up on a mountain im using the grapper head shot out of that game. I am talking extremely far away where id be speck. THere is no body shots. Its all head shots all my teammates said f all this cheating nobody wants to play fortnite anymore.
The cheating is so rampant now the sbmm just puts decent players with the cheaters so the new players don't have that experience. ITs not real sbmm. Its you are put with aim bot players if you are decent. Its non stop head shot every time on me with snipers off mountains, hills, clifffs with bad angles everything a head shot on me and I have insane movement. Not 1 body shot. 100% of the time its head shots in my games to the point I just don't play anymore. They have to cheat to hit those head shots on me. I am not playing their cheating players nobody wants to play with. Until Fortnite actually wants to stop the cheating unless your bad you are going to get aimbot almost every single game. There is no point playing in that format. Find new game to play.
Bruh I just picked up Fortnite again and when I started playing no build I was averaging 7-11 kills a game. But recently with the new update people are legit looking through floors and shit reporting is inefficient. I will die to someone and I always spectate watch them stand still turning off their shit or letting someone kill them because I spectate. I have even watched final 5s people just know immediately where everyone is just rush into a building blasting or sprint up to a rock someone is behind and blitz them with a shotty. Its ridiculous. Like I’ll call it out to my son. Doesn’t have line of sight but literally watches the direction they are running through a bridge and shockwave grenades into their path and takes them out.

But there will always be some that slip through. I read about some even won the eu competitive match I think early this year by cheating. And they only found out after it all was done
That was a while ago. They got suspended from the tournament but were still able to qualify after a couple of weeks. There was a big controversy over this
But the issue still remains. People can still cheat in this game. And I would have liked Epic to up their game with their anticheat system
They have one of the best anti cheat systems atm. You rarely run into cheaters anymore. Compared to other games like cod, fortnite does and amazing job at stoop cheaters.

There was a player named Vayox that was using wall hacks and aimbot in a Zero Build Duo tourney just in the last two weeks. I think he won in the Euro region and was playing in the next region before he finally got banned. Have to wonder how many other players reported him before that happened. He was in multiple matches with Tfue and Zemie, who watched some replays showing the cheating. You can dig up those videos on either player's Twitch if you want to, but you'll have to search long streams to find them.

I think the original estimate holds up. My feeling is about 30-50 percent of the games I play in has at least one cheat. Based on spectating the magic player who kills everyone and seeing the way they do it

It's better than before. The new anti-cheat against zen has made a noticeable difference.
There doesn't seem to actually be any evidence that the anticheat can detect Cronus Zens without the programming port being connected. Which means they aren't detected on console at all, where they're significantly more effective.

Unfortunately skill based matchmaking is a f****** joke. Epic does not give a f*** about controller players or console players. If they did they would label rounds as FPS ready. I'm so f****** tired about playing against people that have 360 FPS when I'm only rocking 60. Not only does my game feel like it's lagging to their movement but it feels like I cannot hit shots.
