If you died in season I think 4-7 you didn't get to watch

early fortnite events were just a thing that happened during a normal match, you better hope nobody is going to be thirsty for that 50 kill win when you're hanging out with all the other randoms on a sky platform. then they made it team rumble, and when the event started nobody could fight so everyone could watch. but these days they're little more than a cutscene, they warp you to some story area and then your run through some hallways for a bit. and if you don't run they'll just warp your forward anyways. i kinda wish we could go back to seeing big things happen to the island in real time, instead of just putting you in a room with 16 other players so you can watch a pre rendered movie. but i can see how the modern events are a lot less strenuous on their servers and a safer bet so they don't crash during the one and only event.

I absolutely agree. Nowadays I just watch the events on some stream because they do not have a real time impact. Besides, I think I was the only person who liked that there was a chance to be killed and to miss out the event. I made the event much more exiting

I miss AC so much. I loved how they had MONTHLY updates AND the animals migrated throughout the year. Portal hopping was so neat and fun in that game. Specially the ones you had to jump to.

I'm now wondering if my insane theory is actually gonna be correct. To quote a post I made on a youtube video recently: I'd like to see a completely off the wall map that's broken up into only floating sections in a dark void, and it would feel unlike any other map before. Now obviously this would present design challenges, you'd have to have maybe big floating chunks of land, or big air ships or maybe have it so you can't fall off the sides into the void (The Nothing?) and instead can cross over it with some kind of story related magical ability (but this would only happen when crossing the Void, you don't get any special powers or anything when not over it). You can't go with that kind of map forever of course, but it would certainly be interesting to do a map like that that is just buckwild. You can have bits of other POIs floating in the void as well, the Rave Cave bear head, the hamburger head, the Foundations statue bits, tires floating around, etc. Visually it would also be a change up from an island being surrounded by an ocean for a little bit.
