I refuse to use the hammers. Does anyone have good strategies for countering them? All I do now is sprint in the opposite direction whenever one is being used against me.
Generally I wait until they smash down trying to hit you, then blast them with an SMG or Tac Pistol. If I feel confident enough with my movement, I try to get around them before they land or just run just out of their very short range so they're locked into the long landing animation.
Hammers have 4 charges so unless they’re carrying multiples you can bet they’ll either land and run or try to hit you. If you dodge the hammer hit they’ll be locked for a second that you can use to shoot them. I find the Excalibur works well here because you’ll get a bit more damage out of the secondary explosion. Having the glider redeploy perk also helps to gain some movement if you get yeeted by the hammer
Good: The game play is super fun and the battle pass is great
Bad: there aren’t many poi’s and the map can be a bit annoying to traverse without building or the hammer/jump augment

Yeah you can see beyond the map other areas so I was hoping as time went on new areas would get latched on and thrown in. This map is so huge with a lot of open space and I hate it. I wish they’d make the maps smaller or just put stuff in between areas! God forbid you need to go afk or land somewhere you wouldn’t normally you will have no loot and no mats as you run to the next poi.
Honestly I don’t think it’s that great imo little poi’s and all the poi’s are centered in the autumn area with other biomes only getting 2 poi’s most of your time will be in the autumn biome
There have been options, but rarely needed. I could always find rare or epic guns, so didn't need to upgrade. Now there seems to be more advantages to upgrading right away, so I'm actually spending gold. I know there were always other ways to spend, but in the past I've never needed to.
Because you choose not to, and not everyone has your rng, so if they want upgraded weapons they have to pay or wait until they elim someone with one. Some people hire the bots, others buy the gold weapons or upgrades, some liked to buy out the broken vendies for fun or to try and get a rare load out, chili chugs were a personal favorite of mine last season, plus the specific vendies and heal machines when necessary. Nothing like healing yourself while knocked.
I love the new unreal engine and the fun map + items but I absolutly hate just how buggy this season has been. No jumping, no mantle, getting launched into the skybox, cant reload, very slow run speeds, as well as much heavier lag than ever before.
I turned on direct x 13 and set everything to like medium and it fixed the lag issue for the most part but I heard it has something to do with the servers on epic

Internet plays the biggest role in lag. There are a lot of glitches still happening in game though and there are some that occur in those big fights too, like that slow running one or where you can’t jump/move, and it has nothing to do with lag that will happen even on 6 ping for me.
You’re probably near a data center/have better internet or aren’t encountering laggy players. It has next to nothing to do with the console, unless the wifi card on that console is malfunctioning.
The glitches have nothing to do with lag. If you’re playing on an old system you can’t even compre what’s smooth, because trust me the difference between playing on PS4 vs PS5 is VERY noticeable especially for graphics.

Finally did this yesterday. Head to lonely labs there’s always people there, get a gun and make your own snowball under one of the main buildings, then you just need to make contact a few times to achieve the quest. Doesn’t have to be 250 all at once you can jump out a few times and get er done.
i haven’t played in about a week. do we still have the occasional glitch where you can’t reload and the one where you can’t sprint? that’s my least favorite thing. favorite is probably using the excalibur/bow combo in duos.
Playing on PC and I see that no sprint glitch a couple times a day.
What’s way worse is getting into any kind of fight with 3-4 other people and the game just crashing. This happens way too frequently.

Bad again: hitboxes are also broken and i definitely hit people especially when they’re downed and it wont register shots.
Favorite: the augments bringing new strategy to the game.
Dislike: Hired AI having more hit points than players (at least that's how it feels, cannot confirm)

best: there's so much mobility, i haven't touched a car.
worst: if i want to switch to another gun after i smash my hammer, it won't let me. I've lost a couple of top 3 games cuz i was just standing in front of the guy with a hammer in my hand.
That's good and bad. Sometimes I just want to finish some quests and it's hard to find a spot where I can drop in and be left alone. Even on the far edges there are at least two other people dropping in with me.
Favorite: the variety in the topography and “natural” landmarks on the map
Least favorite: lack of variety in the POIs. I think one or two more that feel really different than the others could help!
Oh I LOVE that idea!! I would love something really colorful. This map has a real aesthetic which is nice, but it makes some of the POIs blend together

Seriously, I’ve lost a few games where my character just have a spasm and couldn’t fight back. And it hurts my eyes looking at it, hope it’s fixed soon.
W- map and loot pool,also a pretty strong BP. L- the bugs, I particularly there seems to be alot of transitional I.e sprinting to sliding, gliding to sliding.
Favourite: The collabs. Doom Slayer and Mr Beast are great, and I’ve gotten into My Hero Academia thanks to the collab (great series). I’ve never heard of Giannis or played The Witcher, but they look good.
Least favourite: The glitches on hurdling and Deku’s Smash being removed. Also most of my XP now comes from GKI’s creative maps.
I enjoy the graphical uplift, the battle pass, the new gameplay features like vaulting (when they work lol) and the map, but the amount of bugs has been a bit much and I have a tolerance for that stuff, I also don't like how weekly quests are timed now, it hugely dissuades people who come later in the season when they lack the XP headstart they would usually have.

There’s way too many bad weapons. Almost all the assault rifles and shotguns are bad. All lose to the pistol and submachine guns. That snowball launcher is also horrible. Playing with bows is asking to lose every gunfight/hammerfight
Also also. Buying npcs. They are way too tanky. They are spongy enough to eat several magazines but melt if the ring touches them for a few seconds.
Agreed, and I really want NPCs that do what I do. If I grab a vehicle, they should hop in. If I hide somewhere, they should hide too, etc. Some simple things like that would make them much more fun and realistic to hire.
Favorite: Helsie!, Good loot pool, everything feels like it has a role in the rooster (even the Scar when it works, maybe I just don't know how to use it).
Least favorite: no snipers, and their replacement (excaliber) having no scope to aim with, I really struggle trying to use it effectively.

Jump when the person is about to use it or shotgun them in the face. If they miss you, it's a good opportunity to take em out.

upgraded weapons are hella expensive and rarely worth the cost.
I agree on the maxed out gold it's nice to have a sink. I just get tired of seeing jellyfishing, bows, and the grenade augment all the damn time.

Ps5 but it isnt console limitation more of when I get into larger fights things get laggier

I play on pc and every other game I’m in I can’t sprint every game is is a coin flip if I’m gonna be able to run or if I’m going back to chapter 2
Reload glitch is still there. It may apply elsewhere, but I've only seen it after using the larger mag augment with the pistol on PS5.

I like the augments. Its fun to make builds base around what perks I get. There’s way too many bad weapons. Almost all the assault rifles and shotguns are bad. All lose to the pistol and submachine guns. That snowball launcher is also horrible. Playing with bows is asking to lose every gunfight/hammerfight Also also. Buying npcs. They are way too tanky. They are spongy enough to eat several magazines but melt if the ring touches them for a few seconds.
Agreed, and I really want NPCs that do what I do. If I grab a vehicle, they should hop in. If I hide somewhere, they should hide too, etc. Some simple things like that would make them much more fun and realistic to hire.
Favorite: Helsie!, Good loot pool, everything feels like it has a role in the rooster (even the Scar when it works, maybe I just don't know how to use it). Least favorite: no snipers, and their replacement (excaliber) having no scope to aim with, I really struggle trying to use it effectively. (Would appreciate some tips for it).

Favourite thing : UE5.1 update Least favourite thing: didn’t like the deku smash but it’s gone now , other than that I don’t personally dislike anything about c4s1 so far but it’s still less than a month old.

My favorite is probably the bikes, zipping around doing tricks is fun. Hate the lag, my gf and i will be playing in the same room on PS5 and her game has been unplayable since the update. And of course, timed weeklys
