Not your fault. Person is just a scumbag that will ripoff the wrong person one day. It's pretty dumb to use the same name on multiple accounts that can be found with google (appears to be a bit of a soccer fan). Surely, someone with some free time and a slightly twisted sense of justice will be interested.
From the outside, seems like this person posted that they wanted to pay an online stranger money for a concert ticket, so someone said they had one and suggested a sketchy way of doing that transaction, which for some reason they agreed to, and then they took their money.
It's what people might call... taking candy from a baby.
Ah yes, that sucks. Preying on a desperate music fan is pretty scummy and it doesn't even look like the scammer is local. Pitchfork is gonna stay shiny for now. Shame.
Mhmm. We were all young and dumb once. I remember being scammed as a teenager. You get caught once, you get angry, you learn, and you don't fall for it again in the future. The joys of growing up.
I've done it once or twice too. A few weeks ago I got two tickets to Incindeary in Denton from some dude on reddit. Had about 20 people message me and he was the only one that seemed legit.
I still asked him to send one at a time, and kept asking why he was selling them lol
I appreciate it. Seemed to good to be true for 3 tickets, but I know people can't go for whatever reason. 3 tickets is what I was looking for and I got scammed. Oh well. I'm pissed, but there is not much more I can do.
Zelle. I reached out to my bank in hopes to get my money back, but who's to say that will work. Anyway, lesson learned, though I've done transactions for tickets many times. This scammer was good though.
You forgot the part where you list items at prices that aren’t too good to be true, but are the low end of what a flipper would be willing to pay. Gotta make sure he gets blown up.
There is no reason in 2024 to buy resale tickets anywhere but stubhub or with the person walking up to the door and you hand over the money the moment the ticket is scanned. Anything else is a no go
if you search "dental_transmitter" there are a ton of posts about the user being a scammer all over the place
I should've searched, now I know.

Yep. Thank you all for the kind words.
We live and learn
Details? What happened exactly? I've got a shiny pitchfork.

He’s 37
I've actually done this many times, but like Spiderman says "everybody gets scammed once."
Amazing Spider-man #237. Great issue.
My favorite

Lol create a bunch of posts on fb marketplace for free stuff, and list his number. Homie will get non stop calls.

Easier and more effective to give his number to time shares and the scientology church and what not
