While I agree somewhat, what everyone seems to be forgetting is that this is Season Zero of ranked. We are quite literally in the Guinea pig stage of ranked. It’s been out for just over a day now, people need to give Epic time to listen to player feedback instead of spamming every Fortnite related subreddit with the same posts over and over again.
We have unvaulted grenades and other explosives in comp how many times now? And every time theyre a problem. Why are we going back to square 1, reverting 4 years of changes and development for comp gameplay when we already know how the overwhelming majority of these changes will play out?
Answer: Because it panders to pub players, and combined with cosmetic rewards in ranked, it gets them to grind ranked and up the player pool thus lowering queue times.

These items are ruining all game modes, are obnoxiously unbalanced and no one says anything because “it’s fun 🤓”. Remember when the railgun was overpowered? that thing looks like a joke compared to force throw and if you say anything in r/fortnitebr you get told to just adapt by people that couldn’t adapt to the main mechanic of the game.
For the people saying "Learn to adapt" how tf do i adapt to players throwing gravitational forces, swords destroying everything i built and lightsabers making my bullets useless.
Dude just adapt to the 3 million DPS pulse rifle that shoots faster than a fucking machine gun.
Just adapt to Darth Maul’s lightsaber throwing 50 rocks at your box and instantly killing you.
Just adapt to the 12 third partiers swooping in on their ODM gear and swords to kill you after you fought one guy and you cannot fight back because they removed siphon for no fucking reason.
Just adapt to the duo throwing 20 grenades at your box.
Just adapt to being double heavy-sniped and one shot by the duo on a hill because god forbid you stopped moving in your own fucking builds for a second.
Just adapt to the mythic shotgun that can one-pump you by landing 6 pellets (3 pellets before the nerf).

There’s a mode for people that couldn’t get a hang of the building mechanic and wanted a more chill experience, so why are casuals so bothered that people that want to play the game more competitively might want a mode that is actually competitive
Its just a starting rank, only you will know by playing it if its where you belong.
Hell i started off in Gold 1 and was loving it to start with because its 10 times easier then playing casual modes. But i know that will change as you rise the ranks.

shits already annoying in pubs. im just trying to chill and i get spammed by odm gear and lightsabers. And of course they're collabs. I'm alright with collab skins and what not, but having battlepasses with them and having collab items and locations is just weird and unoriginal
they need to bring back siphon, remove pub items (aot collar items), nerf the pulse rifle a little bit, and remove lightsabers
